AsukaStrikes vs Prime: Candle Light Waltz
Gong...
One strike of the large brass Gong... A maiden sat waiting, meditating under the watchful gaze of the revered Emerald Dragon statue. Her fiery hair flowing silently down the scarred shoulders and worn leather jacket.
Silence.
Gong...
Twice did the resounding beat rang, its wailing voice reverberating in the empty hall. Rough reed mats waiting in silence, dyed golden brown under the flickering candle lights shining from patient oil lamps on long, iron stalks. The room remained watchful, the doors, closed and offering no hint of what could be beyond.
Vigil.
Gong...
Thrice did the haunting note sang, moving back and forth through the chamber of wood. The Mighty Dragon Kazen coiled, staring down on the tiny form of the room's sole occupant as she meditated, her hands crossed atop her lap and eyes closed shut. Mouth trembling, muttering an old chant she remembered from her late father the Master of Smith. She continued her silent prayer, never raising an eye to bat the new opponent entering her arena. Kazeryu laid out in front of her, the double-edged sword gleaming in the amber hue.
Patience.
Gong...
With the fourth strike of the Gong, as if stirred from slumber, the Warrior rose from her spot with sword in hand. Sheathing the blade, she slowly slipped off her large leather jacket and tossed it aside. The garment landed a few feet away from the revered dragon's throne, reflecting vividly in the statue's brass surface.
Ready.
Gong...
Five strikes came, then followed by silence. The warrior maiden strode forward and stood tall, with hands on hips, betwixt the oak pillars holding up the ceiling. With no other motivation than to fight to the end, to her end of the deal, she was going to see what her opponent was made of first.
All in due time.
"Welcome to the Dajas Pagoda, Prime." The flame-hair maiden announced, staring back at the challenger with grim determination. "Name's Asuka. So... Are we just going to stand here and chit-chat, or do should we start talking with your blades?"
