Brief Description: What's a boss battle event without a dragon or two? Sun Wing is an adult (roughly 700 years old) fire dragon that makes its nest in the cliffs of Alerar. It's very basic, has a hoarde, a nasty temper, and one hell of a fire breath attack. In terms of size, it's about 125 feet long with a wing span of about 300 feet, not small. True to most flying monsters, it doesn't like getting pinned to the ground and will keep to the sky as long as it can before landing to rest its wings. Inevitably, within a few moments, it will take off again and start hailing hellfire down upon its potential prey once more, after getting in a few potshots with its claws and fangs while on the ground. Do not underestimate, or you will end up a well cooked snack!

Name: Thanatos (By Tobias Stalt)

Description: The circumstances surrounding the appearance of this being are shrouded in mystery. It is believed that the amassing of dark magic in Raiaera attracted it to the corporeal world, but nothing concrete lends credence to those claims. Unlike the corpse hordes that run rampant through the plague lands and across the war-torn country, this wraith remains perfectly still in a single location. Wreathed in shadows and with flesh pale as snow, Thanatos was dubbed thus by the sole survivor to encounter it, deep within the most ravaged and tainted areas of Raiaera. Named for a manifestation of death itself, the account detailing the brief exchange included several seconds of monologue on the part of the survivor's comrades, then unexplained horrors that ended in grotesque fits of psychosis and ultimately suicide."It was as though in those seconds before they fled the horrors of their life, they faced judgment for their sins and were deemed unworthy," the notes recall in a feverishly scrawled script. "When It laid eyes on me, I fled without a thought."

Name: The Maiden (By Philomel)

Brief Description: Long ago, some time before anyone can remember, there was a woman. Quite naturally she had a virgin birth, giving out a baby girl who was an almost exact likeness of her. The baby bared the young mother's name, that being Madona'a, and the people feared her for it was known she was born of no man, just pure of a woman. The babe, by the age of five, learnt how to speak, walk and posessed great knowledge. She told prophecies of a time when more than one species would roam the earth and demons would come from Hadia, and many other things that have since proved to be true - but the people feared her more. They slew her mother, and in doing so incited a great anger in the young girl became a terror. Full of rage and hate she gained swiftly the abilities to curse, to spit fire and to speak what will happen, despite whether or not the attacker wills it so. She hides in a small corner of the world, waiting for whomever to come across her to be crushed and rumoured upon, for her voice is the fear of many and her knowledge is as vast as infinity. Her abilities include: Being able to (limited) cause things to happen by speaking them. She cannot be anything that the attacker does, and must be rumours that effect the environment. She has the ability to spit fire and speak secrets of the attacker/opponent that no one else knows. She takes form of a young girl who is highly adept at all forms of close combat.

Name: The Briarwolf Pack (By BlackandBlueEyes)
Difficulty: Monolithic
Description: A pack of 40-60 wolves (depending on the number of participants). These wolves are slightly bigger and faster than timber wolves, and have threads of thorny vines woven into their gray pelts. Due to genetic manipulation, they contain the smarts and cunning of Dur'Taigen, as well as a smidge of their shapeshifting abilities. While they aren't able to change their physical shapes, they are able to change the color of their fur in order to blend in with the nighttime shadows and orange glow of the lanterns that line the streets, making them harder to detect so long as they don't make any sudden movements. The briarwolves' jaws are strong enough to pierce cloth and metal Tier 3 and lower. Their mouths and claws are laden with bacteria that infects their victims when they pierce flesh and draw blood. This bacteria will cause paralysis in the infected limb after the span of one post, as well as a numbness that spreads to adjacent parts of the victim's body.

Description: The disappearance of one of the most prolific heroes in Althanas' history has left scholars baffled. Armed with powers that modern day Althanians couldn't even fathom, there is no possible way this demigod could have been banished from this world. Defeat this champion and achieve endless glory, but the true challenge is finding him first.

Name: Wasting Howlers (By Ebivoulya)
Difficulty: Monster
Brief Description: Normally found in deep forests, they are essentially singing monkeys covered in sores. They travel in packs of ten to fifteen, and flit about the trees to avoid predators on the ground. The sores on their bodies contain bacteria which can eat through skin in a minute or so, but it can be neutralized with water. Their main weapon is their voices, which they can either focus to shatter branches and bones, or diffuse for an omnidirectional disorientation and headache. When two or more Howlers harmonize, they can double the effect of either of those abilities, but no more than four of them can harmonize together at once; their vocal range is very limited due to the thick cartilage of their vocal cords. They are very intelligent, employ guerrilla tactics, and always attack from a distance.

Brief Description: Doomlord Proton is a evil dark sorceror from a distant moon of a distant planet. He killed all his people on that little moon world and now wants to take over Althanas. Mostly because he is insane and power hungry, but also because he believes that Althanas holds the secret of eternal life. He lands in the plains of Tular from space, causing a small earthquake. The battle takes place in the crater he lands in and in the ashy fields. His powers are mostly fire-based, such as burning hands, breathing fire etc. No weapons.

Name: Sir Otto Samuelson

Difficulty: Minion

Description: Although technically not a monster, Sir Otto Samuelson is certainly monstrous. Standing 6 foot, 6 inches tall and weighing over 250 lbs, the long-sworn knight of Radasanth has served at the whims of the monarchy for nearly twenty years. At forty-five he is a step slower than he once was, but more than makes up for his slightly diminished speed with outstanding swordsmanship and tremendous strength.

The long, tempered claymore of Samuelson is razor sharp and heavy; hard to block but easy to see. A short dagger also hangs from his hip, for desperate situations. Desperate is certainly a relative term; for even when you find him unarmed, the aged knight is quite impenetrable. Otto also wears two layers of armor which make him a particularly dangerous foe to better. A thick layer of hardened steel covers his entire body, and completely hides an equally impressive thin coverall of mythril. This underlayer of clothing significantly insulates him from magical attacks.

Name: Martin, Shell, and Bog - The Rough Street Gang

Difficulty: Minion

Description: Using quick wit, cunning tactics, and brutal efficiency, Martin, Shell, and Bog, known as The Rough Street Gang, have carved a place of power for themselves from the backwater alleys of the City of Knife's Edge in Salvar. Martin, the leader, is quick of tongue and quicker of blade. Growing up on the streets in the middle of a Civil War taught him that the best place to always be is behind one's enemies, and he has become extremely proficient in stealth and taking advantage of distractions when the chances present themselves. Shell, the Rough Street Gang's femme fatale, is not above using her feminine nature to draw a mark off guard before planting a steel kiss between their ribs. She is playful and intelligent, but above-all she is cruel. Bog, as the group's muscle-bound member, plays up the strong-but-stupid role, though he is far from an idiot. A skilled street fighter, Bog likes to lure his prey in with his oafish act and then makes them regret it with a swing of his iron-banded cudgel. These three have worked together for years, resisting all who would take their territory. And they're not above calling out the witch-hunters on anyone exhibiting magical talent.

Name: Chitterwolves

Difficulty: Monster

Description: A hive of these abominations has recently moved into a sheltered mountain valley just off a widely traveled trading route. They resemble lanky, hairless mixtures between canines and spiders. They possess eight multi-jointed legs which end three to five grasping digits. These digits possess claws thick and hard enough to cling to or dig out rock, which is how the dig their hive burrows. Thin, rubbery bodies terminate in a canine head with multiple eyes on either side, giving chitterwolves excellent sight. They similarly have an extremely keen sense of smell akin to their canine namesakes. An adult chitterwolf can grow to the size of a big dog, though not as big as a normal wolf. Their name comes from the odd, chittering bark that they emanate while hunting prey. An average chitterwolf nest is home to twenty or so of these monstrosities and they are adept at hunting in packs. Their favored tactic it to grapple their target and bear it to the stone floor under the weight of numbers, where they can tear it apart for feeding. Use caution while hunting as their natural coloration helps them blend in extremely well with their rocky environs.
