Colors are okay sparingly, but people use various forum themes and some of them make colors annoying to read. I wouldn't worry about that though. As long as your entire posts aren't in a different color, they're okay to use for special reasons.
For example, I sometimes use small white text to denote a significant time change. Caden Law used it to illustrate his "wizard voice". Although I think him doing that looked a little weird, since all his characters had different-colored wizard voices and I couldn't take them seriously...

As a general heads up there is some kind of hook script error between JAWS and Chat. I am not sure how it happened, or exactly how to fix it at the moment. so until I do, no Chatting for me. For those that were in Chat early this morning, around 2:00AM eastern standard time U.S. I apologize if any strange messages appeared during this problem.

Where exactly is Hydia? The wiki doesn't give it an exact geographical locale in reference to other places. So, since I can't use any of the maps, I have no idea where it is located in reference to any other nation. Thanks.

Haide/the Tular Plains are to the south and west of Alerar.

This probably won't help you out too much, Drum, but I'll post it here to tease everyone else.

Don't worry Max, out of sight out of mind.

I've just got a minute, but what's the silver to gold economy here?
In D&D it was ten for one, but other gaming systems, and other stories have different formulas, so I ask.
As always I thank you for your time.
-
I think it is ten to one.
As far as I know one gold is the price of a good stout beer, at least that is what I think of.
-
There is no official conversion rate. You can write it how you choose in your stories. Gold is actually mostly an out of character currency. Some poor characters might amass a large amount of gold, while others might be rich but have been around long enough to gather much.
-
Thank you both.
My question was more related to in-world currency, as apposed to the meta-currency given out by judges.
