The air stirred with the coming of conflict, whirling about the Drow as he stood, poised, atop a roof in downtown Irrakam.
It was a common occurrence for the Fallien defender to watch over the city. Ever since the siege passed, the harpies and sun worshippers had grown bold, unafraid to hit and run even at the gates of town. Several soldiers had been killed in the last few days, and as night began to fall, Izvilvin’s keen eyes scanned the dark horizon. He could see in the pitch black, but no bodies appeared in his sight.
He took a break from watching the sky to scan the people below him. None paid him any mind, for in the dark he was simply too difficult to see -- though the moonlight lit his hair when it was blown at just the right angle. He was always made confident by the stoic pride of the Fallien people, who despite the recent troubles they’d faced, with the siege and with people like Camella, went on with their lives with a brave outlook.
Tomorrow he’d be gone for good, he supposed. Izvilvin wondered, as he again looked to the sky, whether or not he should even tell the Jya. He supposed she already knew.
