@Yami: Hmm I used a soft brush (one that looks blurry on the rims) in Photoshop CS2. The trick is to play with the brushes opacity when you're making shadows. And Thank you!!

A single tail came off of the bottom, covered in gross hair that seemed to refract their inner lights sickeningly. Then there was the head, off the top of the blob-like torso. Three glowing red eyes, with horizontally slit pupils, gazed emotionlessly at him, with a toothy maw below pulled in a wide grin.
