History: Named Beth at birth, Nicolette was the daughter of two Caershire citizens. Both did manual labor for a livable wage, though their life was far from glamorous. A tragedy led to her parents' death, and brought the nine year-old to the attention of Theodore Henry Langdon, Boyar of Caershire. He was fascinated by her wit and maturity, and rather than having her moved to an orphanage, he took her into his care. It would not be proper for a Boyar to raise the offspring of two peasants, especially when they met such scandalous ends. Instead, he asked Alexander Morgan, his chief advisor, to raise the child. Alexander accepted out of duty, but quickly came to appreciate the girl's bright mind. He quickly began educating her in his trade. Josephine Langdon, Theodore's wife, provided Nicolette with whatever mother figure she lacked. The Langdon's had yet been unable to conceive, and Josephine found great comfort in caring for Nicolette in an unofficial capacity. It was she who named the child, and her husband who gave her the fond nickname "Letty." Letty has since grown into a young woman, attending many meetings with her adoptive father, and training to take his place as chief advisor.
