So how many of you guys have seen Casino Royale (the latest Bond movie) yet? Thoughts? Like it? How's Craig?

Just for the record I'm actually waiting until school craziness is over so I can watch it with a friend, and I'm sure others haven't seen it yet, so please make an effort to try and not spoil anything.

I haven't seen it yet, but from what I heard, it's pretty damn good. Then again, given the fact that Bond movies with Pierce Brosnan sucked major balls, all they really could do is improve. I probably won't see it until it's out on DVD. I'm just not a big fan of James Bond.

I really liked it a lot.

Lots of good action and some funny scenes.

I'd suggest seeing it with a friend too. After the movie, you can start discussing why this Bond is > than the last Bond.

I liked it for exactly the same reasons Max seemed to hate it. This guy just seems more realistic as Bond which makes Bond a more believable character. This guy as Bond is a bit less suave which didn't really bother me at all and you can actually see this guy murdering someone.

I really like Casino Royale! I can't wait to see it again! However, what a lot of people were saying, how Craig is so believable, PART of that comes from the character he had to assume, not just Craig himself. This was showing Bond before he was everything we knew he was. He was young, more edgy, more ruthless and so on, and there's going to be 1 more movie with him like this (As the next one is going to be a sequel...something that hasn't been done in Bond History, not a direct sequel anyway.) After that, Bond is a more closed off character, reformed, and keeps even his angry emotions hidden away. The only time you ever really see him come out of his shell again is is On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where he marries Tracy.

I really liked the way Daniel Craig became this angry and cut throat Bond, but personally, I don't think I could see Bond continuing on like this. Once the next movie is done, they'll probably be looking to make a mix between the ruthlessness from this one, and the traditional James Bond, who's a little more reformed and suave.

These are all just my thoughts mind you. I do not clam to be the dictator of what Bond should be or anything like that.

I thought Casino Royale was one of the best Bond films I'd seen in a long time. The action scenes were pretty standard, if a little less romanticized, but it was the character and story bits that I felt they really improved on.

Saw it a few hours ago. Amazing. Definately my favorite Bond movie, though I need to see Goldeneye again.

I mean, first impression of Daniel Craig was "woahomg, no, he's far too pretty, that's not right. He's too hollywood" but.... not bad is all i'll say so I don't get your expectations too high. :P
