Happy New Year from the UK everyone!

What did you do for the celebration - share below!

We played board games at mine and had a sword salute (with real swords) at the bells. Of course we opened a bottle of champagne, sang auld Lang syne in ridiculously deep voices and then went back to playing more board games.

Main game of the night was Smallwood. I came second, our friend Dara won.

I slept through new years like a boss.

I'm going to be writing, or streaming. Not sure which.

Worked hard to keep the girls up til 12:01; both my 7 and 4 year old crashed at 11:40 or so and had to be shaken back to life for the ball drop. Sleeping in tents downstairs in our house as sort of a fun little perk.

My sister came round and me, my wife and her got hooked on South Park: Fractured But Whole (huh huh). We came off in time to celebrate new year, have a few glasses of something cheeky then played What Do You Meme?

Basically had more fun than any prior new year arrangement and did not miss sitting in a room being bored to death by my friends talking about car insurance.
