Staff Drive - We Need You!

Ever wanted to help out with the running of Althanas?

We need staff!

There are three main areas of the staff site that all staff members are trained in: Judging, Bazaar and Realm of Greeting.

Judging is the backbone of all rewards based on writing in the site. As a judge you read player work, score it on a point based system, offer feedback for improvement, and calculate rewards. All of this encoprates the unique Althanas rubric, which aims to help people improve their technique and writing skills.

Bazaar is the place where people can buy new items, such as weapons, armour and mundane. As bazaar moderator you will be taught how to calculate a bazaar request and help people be able to get the items they have always wanted.

Realm of Greeting is the place where all new members start, but also where people can submit a character update. It is the place for people to get their characters approved as quickly and efficiently as possible so they can join in the fun. Using the Points System that is available for public view in the Realm of Greeting FAQ you will be able to help get people started, and updated!

Things to be aware of:

• Staffing is hard work, but the more staff we have, the better this site runs. It allows work to be more spread out and allows people to have loads more exciting writing journeys on Althanas.
• You will be trained in all areas of the above, and need to be prepared to learn.
• There are also perks to being a moderator, such as the ability to personalise your title! You will also be able to support the team of really hard-working admins who do such a great job.
• You will be able to help the site to flourish and grow.
• Never fear - you will have support of the more experienced moderators and never need to be afraid to ask a question when you need.
