Felicity was dumbfounded. There Daisuke was, standing at the door. He was neatly dressed and ready to go. His fancy fedora with a feather, nice and neat leather jacket, freshly washed and dried pants. He gave Felicity a warm nod, "I believe you are ready."

"But Max?" Felicity referred to his son.

"He is spending time with his family."

Felicity was standing in the square middle of the shop. She looked down at the blue carpeting across the floor. The Victorian chairs and redwood shelves against the wall were elegant and neat. Everything was perfectly organised and ready to be used. Behind the mahogany counter, behind the swinging doors, the multitude of alchemy equipment and behind the counter potions were ready for use.

Daisuke believed Felicity was ready for this?

Why... this was...

"OHMYWORDTHISISTHEBESTDAYOFMYLIFETHANKYOUSOMUCHITI SANHONORTOBEINCHARGEOFTHESHOPSIRIWILLNOTLETYOUDOWN AND-"

As Felicity spazzed out over her promotion, Daisuke let out an uneasy sigh. She is not ready for this...

But she is, unfortunately, the only option for my day off, so.

"Remember, Fel," The elderly gentleman attempted to speak, "The shop needs regular maintenance. Make sure it looks as nice as ever for guests and customers."

"YES, SIR!"

"Treat the customers with courtesy and respect. No matter how they treat you."

"GOT IT, SIR!"

"Absolutely do not mess up orders and prescriptions. We do not want the town full of drugged bafoons and overdosed crazies now, do we?"

She snorted in a laugh, "No, sir!"

"I am absolutely serious. Do not mess up the potions and medications."

"YES, SIR!"

"And please, please, please be safe! You have my eager permission to cream anyone who even ever so slightly seems to have bad intentions. Just don't break anything while doing it."

Felicity tapped the sword at her hip, "With pleasure!"

"Do you have any questions?""

"No, sir."

"Are you positive you got this?"

Felicity saluted, "Sir, yes, sir!"

Daisuke was unconvinced. He needed a day off, though! Desperately! The sixty year old slouched, "Okay. Good luck. Goodbye."

He exited the store.

As the bell rang, Felicity fell flat on the floor. She smothered herself in the blue carpet. "This is the best day of my life..."

Felicity tightly hugged the coatrack next to the door with childish joy, "I love you, coatrack!"

She then ran to the small bookshelf meant for customers, "And I love you, little bookshelf!"

She zipped to the coutner, hugging it too, "I love you as well, counter!"

She fell flat on the floor again, gripping the carpet like bed sheets, "And I love you, blue carpet!"

The bell rang.

Felicity looked up to see an elderly gentleman looking down at her with a raised eyebrow. Her cheeks burned red, the girl scrambling to get up. Nervous babbling escaped her as she straightened her red tunic and brown pants. "Oh-uh-well- Mr. Bramble!"

She nervously rubbed the back of her neck, "What can I do you for? Your prescription pick up?"

The man simply straightened the hat on his bald head, "Uh, yes..."

Felicity pulled out a hairtie, pulling her flame red hair into a messy bun. She calmly stepped behind the desk, grabbing a white apron and pulling it over herself. With herself ready (although still embarrassed) for work, she out a pen and paper and slid it over to the man's side, "Sign here, please."

While he put his name on the contracts, a rattled Felicity practiced breathing exercises. When the man cleared his throat, Felicity forced on a merry smile and took the paper back. "Thank you, sir! I will be back in a moment."

She sharply and elegantly turned heel, skipping into the room behind them. About a minute later, she reamerged with a small bag. "Just to confirm, you are Isaac Bramble, and you have a weekly prescription for lung medication, correct?"

He nodded.

Felicity checked the bag one more time to see if she did it right. After this, she smiled sweetly and handed him the bag, "Here it is, sir! Have a marvelous day!"

He just grunted and left.

As the door closed, the bell dinging behind him, she developed a scowl. "And they say the name Isaac means laughter."

"I DEMAND RESTITUTION!"

Felicity's head was buried into her hand. Elbow resting against the counter, her face was unreadable as a larger man screamed and shouted. His fists slammed against the counter, causing the pen holder to shake and fall over.

Meh. I've handled way worse...

"I DEMAND A REFUND! I DEMAND RESPECT!"

Not like this you ain't getting my inner respect. You're lucky Daisuke told me to handle all customers with respect...

"NOW GIVE ME MY REFUND!!!"

And they think I have anger issues.

She pushed the cash register with just a little bit if force. She collected the needed money and handed it to him. With a fake but convincing smile, she responded to him, "I am sincerely sorry that we could not work this out-" -no I'm not- "-here is your refund, good sir." Ha! "Good" sir! Can't wait to tell this one to Ashla in a dramatic, humiliating fashion! Immature loud mouth...

He left in a huff.

Felicity did not care. She was amused though.

A massive pot had bubbling black liquid boiling under a stove. As steam swirled through the air, Felicity (who had goggles on for protection) stirred the creation with a giant, wooden spoon.

A smirk crossed her face as she pulled up a bag and dumped a dissolving powder into the mix. She stirred it more, her eyes wide with anticipation.

"Almost done..."

She stirred more, pulling out a bowl of a crushed, dark brown substance and dunking it in.

"Just need to stir it and wait for it to be completed..."

She merrily hummed as she went through with that. The dark brown liquid was stirred and whirled in the giant pot. Finally, she took out a ladle and started to pour the finished result into a pot.

After filling it up all the way, she smirked, "Oh, I can't wait!

She slapped a label which said Hot Chocolate onto the pot and walked over to a table set with a coffee mug.

After a heavenly cup of glorious hot chocolate, Felicity washed up and went back to the main room. She was sweeping the floor to keep the shop clean. She happily hummed to herself as she worked.

After finishing sweeping, she started to wipe down the wood. As she wiped down the counter, the bell rang again.

"Welcome to Toivonen's. We work to improve your health and keep you smiling bright! How may I help you?"

A young man, about twenty years of age, stepped through the door. "Hello? I was wondering if you had any Green Sleep on you? My wife needs it to sleep well."

A natural recipe made for uneasy sleepers. It was a fairly common order, Felicity knew of it. She smiled and nodded, placing the cloth down, "Of course!"

She merrily bounced around the main desk and walked up to the at the store's walls shelves. It was listed alphabetically, so this should be no problem. Upon reaching the place where it should be though, Felicity saw that it was... out of stock.

Her heart leapt. She gulped as she looked at the customer, "Apologies, sir. We're out of stalk."

The disappointment on his face caused Felicity to act on impulse, "I can make more in the back if you want though."

WHAT!?! I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE!

Hope spread across the man's face, "Oh, can you?"

I DON'T KNOW THE INGREDIENTS! I DON'T KNOW WHAT SUPPLIES I NEED! I DON'T FEEL MY LEGS!

"Of course!" Felicity grinned from ear to ear. Her head was tilted in a spunky manner.

OH THAYNE!!! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?

"I will need a moment, however." Felicity bashfully looked away, "If that's okay with you..."

"Of course." The man nodded, "That is completely fine."

This time, the smile was nervous as Felicity curtly nodded. She then dashed to the back...

"OHMYWORD! BETJINFJHEKOBCSH!"

Felicity hastily crammed the necessary herbs into a wooden bowl. With the recipe book (that took a solid half an hour to find) laid out beside her, she was racing to make up for lost time. However, when she attempted to crush the leaves with the large, wooden thing, it cracked the entire bowl.

Being able to lift four hundred pounds with only subconscious thought had its upsides and downsides.

Frustration flew up like the smoke of a fire. In a bout of frustration, she lashed out. As the broken bowl and herbs flung across the chemistry room, she growled.

Hand grabbing her hair, she stared blankly at the instructional book. How was she going to manage this?

[Several broken bowls, cuts, dented knives, and sanity's questioned later:]

Calmy, collected and professional, Miss Rhyolite walked out with a perfect bottle full of the Green Sleep medication. The man looked up from the ten million page novel he was almost done reading. He leapt up and took the bottle, immediately placing the needed money in her hands, "Thank you so much for going through all this trouble! You can't imagine what favor you have done for me today!"

A weak smile crossed the teen's face. A ransom customer's excitement and joy was so incredibly worth it...

The day continued to role by smoothly. Customers came in and out. Business was good, Felicity was happy to serve.

Trouble was bound to take place sometime, however. As the girl sipped at yet another mug of hot cocoa, a knock was heard on the door. The teen abruptly looked up, a nice chocolate mustache under her nose. There, standing at the door, an humbly dressed elf walked through with a clipboard.

"Excuse me, miss?"

Felicity wiped the chocolate off with an embarrassed smile, "Good evening, sir. How may I help you?"

The blond elf straightened his brown cap as he looked down at the clipboard, "Uh, is Daisuke Toivonen available?"

Felicity frowned, placing her cup on the counter, "Apologies, but no. I-"

She stopped talking when the man turned to the side, looking outside a window with frustration.

"... Uh, I can help you, sir-"

"-Nobody told me he was out." The man sighed with disappointment.

"Well, what do you need?" Felicity tried to sound soft.

"It's just a shipment of mooseroot."

Felicity started to walk around the counter, "I can easily-"

"-It was meant to be Mr. Toivonen." He slapped the clipboard in frustration.

Felicity took a step back, the floorboards moaning. "But... I can help."

He shook his head, turning to leave, "I'll just come back on my next roundabout. Tell your boss to let his suppliers know about necessary changes ahead of time.

Felicity could only extend her hand. Confusion and misunderstanding flooded her mind, as well as shocked offensive. The bell rang, signifying his departure.

Felicity wrote down a report for Daisuke to read on the missing shipment. As she put the pen back in the quill, she reached for her cocoa. However, the bell rang first. Felicity grunted in frustration, looking up to see...

An odd man, his posture broken and voice slirred. He dragged himself into the building, his balance severely off and steps discombobulated. As he moaned, he fell into a chair.

"Um... can I help you?" Felicity could tell he was drunk. Her hand slipped behind the counter, to the broom if a need for defense arose.

The dark haired man hiccuped, then spoke, "Uhhh... This store drug, right?"

Felicity raised an eyebrow, "Legal drugs, sir. Are you drunk?" She knew he was, but she was trying to get through to him.

He chuckled uncontrollably before whisping, "Severe your leg, sir. It's the greatest day."

"Wut?"

He just got up from the chair, stumbling over to a shelf stocked neatly woth potions, "Ooh, pretty!"

Felicity bolted around the desk. Before she reached him, he already knocked a purple salve over. As the glass broke, he grabbed his extended hand, "No! Stop!"

She sharply threw his hand off. As his arm hung like a noodle, he pointed to her with his other, a smirk on his face. "... Ooh, pretty!"

That was the last straw.

All was pleasant and peaceful in the merry little village of of Oakwood. The small town, near Brokenthorn Forest's edge, was a humble logging settlement. Home to several immigrants of other races, such as elves, this was a boom town of employment opportunities. The local alchemist and pharmacist shop, Toivonen, was a calm place where-

-*Boom!*

-Local drunks got thrown out of the shop, over the head of a the little ragechild employee. As the man tumbled through the dirt road outside the shop, Ms. Rhyolite wiped her hands off on her apron. Her face was red in both an odd embarrassment and rage. Her veins were clearly seen, the girl sweated heavily. Everyone in the town knew at this point in time that she had a fiery temper. This was just one of her stormy fits.

She stomped her foot, causing the entire porch to shake, "AND STAY OUT, YOU FREAK!!!"

She slammed the door harshly, causing large cracks to form in the surrounding wood frames and wall.

Every person walking down the feudal street made mental notes to avoid the store for the next several hours.

Fuming, the red faced teen stalked inside again before-

- a skip. -

-Did she just feel...

The physical side effects of anger again.

Peridot eyes widened, almost in panic. As her head started to pound, she raced to the back room. She hastily poured herself a cup of water. Not now! I'm in charge of the store! She pulled out a small, glass vial stock pilled with white pills. She tossed two into her mouth, pulling the water up to her mouth and chugging it. As she lowered it, however, the glass slipped out of her weakened hands.

Shattering.

A gasp was emitted from the girl, who took a violent step back. Heart pounding rapidly, she looked down towards the shattered glass. Sweat trickled down the back of her neck. Paranoia. Dwindling rage.

Once in a while, her blood pressure skyrocketed when she was enraged. Once in a while, she physically got out of hand.

Her body was physically reacting to her rather sudden eruption back with the drunk male. She took the needed pills to force her body to calm down, but... there were side effects.

A bucket, usually dedicated to mopping the floor, was placed behind the counter. The apron was off, Felicity's red shirt ruffled and messy. She was sitting on the wooden floor, close to the metal bucket. She was forcing herself to think happy thoughts. Asking why this was happening now would only make things worse. So, she forced herself to think of puppies and hay bale rides instead. She could not bear to think of strawberries or chocolate, however...

Skin deathly white, she barfed into the pale. Just think of happy puppies. Playful puppies. Sleepy puppies. Bouncing pupp-UGH!

"BLAARGE!"

She let out a hopeless wail.

A young woman walked into the store. The bell threaded onto the door ringed dantely as she walked through...

... Huh. No one seemed to be here-

-A hand clenched the counter. Weary, pale as paper, and barely functioning, a teenage redhead pulled herself shakily up, "W-welcomey to Toivonenennenennnnn... How may I stuff your body with antibioti-I MEAN help you today?"

The young woman narrowed her eyes in weirded out curiousity. "Um... are you okay, miss?"

"Uh, I just-" she randomly threw herself off the counter. The sound of puking ensued.

The woman took a step back, "Uh... I just need pain meds?"

From behind the counter, the girl moaned, "Mooseroot Megacure. The left shelf, third shelf. Alphabetic order-rrrrr.... BLAAAARPH!!!"

The young woman hastily took the purple potion, slammed money on the counter, and bolted.

About an hour after the sickness, Felicity finally recovered. She gave the bucket a hardcore cleaning before cleaning the rest of the shop.

She cleaned everything. She polished the wood, swept and mopped the wood the carpet did not reach, and took care of the glass vial the drunk guy dropped. To her dismay, some of the potion had splashed onto the royal blue carpet. This meant she would have to scrub. So she got out the soapy pale and...

...

Fully dressed in cleaning gear, Felicity put the ceiling duster to her side, holding it like a proud soldier who fought and won their biggest battle. Against bacteria and grime.

The place was spotless! Beautiful! Incredible! This was probably the cleanest this store ever was...

... then-

A group of muddied, yuck children raced into the shop. They left mud, literally black in the filth meshed with manure and compost, all over the floor.

Felicity dropped the broom, mouth gaped open.

One of the children, with a colony of flies clinging to him, looked up to her, "We need your finest bottle of Mooseroot, lady!"

"Uh. The left shelf, third shelf. Alphabetical order."

Another kid tossed some coin, candy coated in grime, on the counter.

Then they took the salvent and left.

Well, after getting a migraine in her rage, drugging herself with meds over said migraine, and cleaning every little nook and crannie again, Felicity flopped onto a chair, exhausted.

She waa finally done with all this garbage! If it weren't for Daisuke counting on her, she would have been so out of here...

The bell rang.

"Toivonen to welcome, gremlin, how help I drug today you?" She mumbled.

"Felicity, dear, it's me."

That voice...

"DAISUKE!"

Felicity bolted up, almost crushing the elder man's ribs with her powerful, beefy arms. She let go, "You're finally back!"

Daisuke groaned, having to crack several body parts to relocate them. "Uh, yes. Miss Rhyolite, do you mind answering a question?"

"Uh... yeah?"

"Explain what happened to my door, please?"
