The Iron League
Welcome to the Iron League. We are Althanas's unofficial Citadel ranking system and an organised group of PvP fighters that transcends the boundaries of powergroups and clans. Have you ever truly wondered who the best is amongst us? Have you ever dared to flip the paradigm and take on that heirarchy if you knew who was?
This, my friend, is your opportunity for admiration and respect amongst your peers.
By joining the Iron League, you will become a ranked fighter in the PvP community. People who join are able to challenge opponents at will to participate in "order matches" where people can increase their rank to try and become the most prestegious fighter on Althanas.
A Brief Background
Formed and run by the Ai'Brone monks of the Citadel of Corone, the Iron League is an organisation that aim to regulate, record and observe the most powerful warriors on Althanas as they battle to become the number one ranked fighter in the world. Whilst the organisation may take on the form of a competitive body, one wonders if there may have been an ulterior motive to the formation of such a league. Perhaps this was a way for the monks to pool all their threats into one controllable environment? Or, perhaps, this is simply a form of entertainment to ensure that the masses have access to some of the most fascinating and extraordinary warriors on the planet.
Either way, the Iron League rankings are the most sought after in the world. The weight one's title carries amongst the citizens of the planet is heavy, and with higher rankings come better employment prospects, greater piety amongst the masses and glory beyond a fighter's wildest dreams.
Rankings
Rankings number from the top rank, number one, downwards. Initial rankings are determined by previous Citadel records dating back to 1st January 2015 as follows:
5 points per win
1 point per draw
-5 points per loss
Starting rankings will then be determined in order of highest points to lowest.
Once battles begin, each victory in an order match will increase (or in the case of a defeat, decrease) the ranking points, starting from zero. Scoring will be as follows:
5 points for a win
1 point for a draw
-2 for a loss
Regular Citadel battles will not affect Iron League scores going forward. This will be recorded by the League organisers and promotion or demotion in rank as a result of scoring will be updated weekly.
Battles will be determined by a normal Citadel judgment, with an added "win bonus" for any character who wins the battle IC. Normal rewards will apply, but rewards that arise as a result of a large points gap between the winner and loser will be waived.
Registration
To register, please simply post "Registered" below. There is no deadline for registration as this is a rolling competition.
