    Warpath Level 8 4.0 Rework

(Though this character has a different name and history than Flint[5], his skills and abilities are an updated extension of Flint's. He is, mechanically, the same character, and Flint shares some of the same abilities and stats though he will be steadily relegated to the role of NPC or secondary PC on the profile. Flint and Redpath will obviously never appear in battles together. New or updated stats/abilities are marked in red.)

Name: Redpath, First Son of Carcosa

AKA: Bajista, Skovikson, Atlas, Oso, Osito
    Age: 17
    Race: Carcosan/Post-Human
    Height: 6’6”
    Weight: 550 lbs

    Personality

Despite his intellect, wisdom, size, and physical development, Redpath is still a teenager. He vacillates between extremes: mirth to moody, brooding to pleasantly affable. He is prone to long periods of introspective thought and isn’t yet likely to assert his desires and opinions with others, which gives an impression of cold aloofness or distance. In truth, he isn’t yet sure what of his will he finds important enough to impress upon the world.

From his mother, he has inherited a sense of empathy, diplomacy, and wisdom.

From his father, he has inherited stoicism, steely resolve, and a smoldering temper.

    History

The son of Luned Bleddyn and Rauk “Flint” Skovik was born on the enchanted paradise of Carcosa, and that is where he spent most of his youth. Carcosa is both an omnipresent place and a semi-sentient entity, and in a complicated way it may also be considered a parent. It was there, outside of time and held away from the rest of the world, that the boy was raised and came of age.

It was a singular childhood. There were days that seemed like weeks, in which he ran alone in protean jungles, avoiding unthinkably alien predators and plumbing the ruins of civilizations both human and otherworldly. There were weeks he lived among tribes that taught him their languages and customs and ways, only to awake and find the entire village vanished. Often Carcosa was a rainforest or a jungle, but sometimes it was a desert, or a mountainside, or an undersea cavern. His third parent taught him the variety of the wild, and made all the world a home to him.

For every ever-shifting unknown, however, there were constants too. No more than a few days at a time would pass without the appearance of one or both of his biological parents. Time for them did not travel as it did for him: though they never grew old, it was clear that sometimes months had passed for them when it had only been hours or days for him. They tried to hide it, but he could see the aggrievement in their eyes every time they beheld him anew, and saw how fast he was maturing, and how much time with him was robbed from them.

Still, they never grew bitter at this. Instead, they taught him. They told him about Althanas and their adventures and ambitions and struggles there. They taught him the lands and rules and languages of that unthinkable place, with its strange, stricter rules and its chaotic, infinitely more permanent populaces. They taught him politics and war and protocol and convention. His father taught him to fight and his mother taught him to read and write, and both impressed upon him philosophy, reason, and deep thought. Each was natural to him.

Then the day came that they all foresaw. Carcosa, in its silent wisdom, deemed him a man. He woke one morning in a land he knew instinctively was not Carcosa. He has come to Althanas and, at least for now, he is permitted to make his own way there.

    Appearance

The son takes after his father: he is a lissome brute, huge and imposing. Redpath is even taller and broader than Flint, inhumanly thick with prodigious muscle without being rendered a caricature. He is within the limits of human proportion and can move naturally, even gracefully, and the general size and weight of his musculature is such that it suits his bone structure. His is a statuesque physique, albeit bulkier than normal human possibility, but he is not a grotesque.

He has his mother’s chestnut brown hair, thick and full: a broad mohawk shorn short to his scalp. He otherwise strives to be clean-shaven, though a full five-o'clock shadow is not atypical. His skin is perpetually sun-warmed by his Carcosan upbringing, the rich side of sepia, with a generous smattering of his mother’s freckles discernable from up close. His eyes are intensely green, bestially luminous in the dark. His teeth are worthy of note: the cuspids are far longer and sharper than is the human wont.

He has a masculine jaw but imperiously high cheekbones. His eyes are large and expressive, framed by his father’s heavy brow. His countenance belies his parentage: as capable of civilized sophistication as it is of perfervid wrath.

    Abilities

Posthuman Athleticism: Redpath is Flint’s son. His superhuman musculature affords him preternatural strength (10x) and speed (8x). His body has abandoned the limits of natural design, and as a result he is capable of enduring (10x) far more than should be possible.

Posthuman Physiology: Redpath’s apparent humanity barely runs skin-deep. He is built to resist damage (10x). His skin is leather-thick, his muscle fibre is literally coated in a metallic film, his joints lock and unlock painlessly and effortlessly, and his bones are disturbingly flexible. And these are merely the obvious signs of his inhumanity: there are doubtlessly a myriad other disturbing modifications to his internal organs that are, as yet, unknown. Suffice it to say that he is difficult to change, at a biological level, by force.

Posthuman Health/Seethe: Redpath’s blood has remarkable medicinal properties. It flows heavier than that of a human being’s, and after a period of several moments it begins to foam and harden to seal wounds. This transformation destroys foreign bodies, staunches open wounds more effectively than cauterization, and begins a rapid healing process in most living bodies. As long as he is properly nourished, Redpath can heal from grievous injuries in moments, and recover from would-be mortal wounds in a matter of days, if not hours.

Though this healing effect can be extended to other living beings exposed to Redpath’s blood, note that the effect is not nearly as potent and it comes with certain side effects detailed elsewhere.

Juggernaut: A signature technique passed down by his father. If given enough space to take three strides in any one direction, Redpath can build a supernatural field of momentum around himself and become extremely difficult to harm, impede, or stop while charging. In time, Redpath can achieve speeds of up to forty miles per hour in a straight line, and while charging his physiology becomes twice as resistant to all harm. In this state, he can pass through anything thinner and less dense than five inches of steel. Anything thicker or stronger will dent or bend but not break, and Redpath’s momentum will be spent. Only an individual of equal strength to Redpath would be capable of overcoming his momentum, though the effort would be herculean. It takes three seconds for Redpath himself to resist and overcome the force of his own momentum and come to a complete stop, and any turn he attempts while charging is gradual at best.

Carcosan Superstition: Redpath is infused with the spirit of Carcosa, and though he has not yet delved into the mysteries of the magical arts, his will does influence them. All magical and elemental effects placed upon him are reduced in effectiveness, duration, or power by half. These include both harmful and beneficial effects.

Vampiric Biology: Either due to the evolution of Flint’s transhumanism or because of the influence of Carcosa, Redpath’s physiology as adapted in strange ways. Though he can eat as humans do, he finds it most efficient to subsist upon the blood of living creatures. His body is made for it: his teeth are designed to puncture the throats of his victims, his saliva both encourages the flow of blood and heals wounds left by his teeth once he’s done feeding. He is immune to bloodborne diseases and parasites, and he can detect the properties and nutritional value of a person’s blood by scent at a moderate distance. This has the added benefit of increasing Redpath’s awareness: he can often smell an individual’s blood even if they are otherwise entirely undetectable.

Thralldom: Those exposed to Redpath’s blood or saliva incur benefits to them: wounds exposed to his blood are staunched, relieved of pain, and heal incredibly fast. His saliva has a similar effect on smaller wounds, causing them to close and heal very quickly (often only leaving an aching bruise after an hour). However, these effects can become more pronounced and varied depending on exposure.

If exposed to a large quantity of Redpath’s blood, or if exposed repeatedly over a short period of time, an individual will undergo other effects as well. The recipient will become more muscular: stronger, faster, tougher, and more athletically capable. However, that person will also begin to develop feelings of intense loyalty and appreciation toward Redpath. While it’s no form of mind control, an individual so influenced would find it uncomfortably difficult to choose to harm Redpath, and incurring even a sense of disappointment from him would be an emotionally perilous experience. These effects fade, if there is no more exposure, in a few days’ time - no more than a week.

It is unknown what long-term exposure might mean.

So, let me understand this properly. This isn't Flint, but a new character with all of Flint's abilities and a completely different history? So, in essence, a reincarnation while Flint is an NPC?

Am I on the same page?

    Kinda? I think? Yes?

EDIT: I think the distinction between this and a reincarnation is that Flint remains alive and active with all the same abilities and could still be played (on his own) on the profile. It just won't happen as much (probably).

I guess I see it sort of similar to profiles that have two characters on the profile (Skye and Avery, etc).

So, I had a conversation with the other moderators and administrators. Basically, if your character experiences a massive change, but still remains your character, you may make drastic changes to your profile. For example, if Flint was knocked out or through some magic, someone stuck him in another body, etc. In the instance that a new character is added to the profile and made primary where your other character operates in an NPC capacity, it needs to be done as a reincarnation.

In that instance, you don't have to kill Flint. He can still exist as an NPC, but your EXP and GP will be reset on this account and half of the totals will be transferred to a new account. (I need to confirm if half, all, or none of the GP is transferred. Bear with me on that.)

So, you will need to create a new account, have both accounts state this is a reincarnation, and the points will be handled as well as the ROG approval at the new level.

Do you have any questions for me? Did you want to reconsider the reincarnation?

I also have to take a look at Skie and Avery. From my understanding, having multiple characters on one character sheet and sharing the same level is taboo. There may be a stipulation I am not aware of.
