The Basics
Name: Benjamin Kiley
Age: 19
Race: Human
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Green
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 167 lbs
Occupation: Absolutely nothing, and not much drive to be anything, either.

Personality: Ben is a good natured kid who has plenty of patience in the pursuit of both love and the future. Unlike most, Ben sees no clear cut paths that the Gods or fate or destiny or what have you have placed down before us. He prefers to follow his own, following what he believes is right. He has little in the way of ambitions, and has no current plans for his future.

Appearance: Ben is blessed by youth's good lucks, but doesn't often seem to care much about what others think of him. While he does bathe regularly and grooms himself well, he doesn't precisely dress to impress. Dirty cracked and worn black leather and rubber sneakers, worn and fading tight blue jeans held to his waist with a black leather belt, studded with fake steel bullets, some of which are missing, black t-shirts, blue hooded sweatshirts, and a gray baseball cap. He keeps his black hair shaggy, as opposed to paying someone to cut it for him. He has simple and dull silver peircings here and there, a ring through his lip, one through either earlobe. [Peircings will not be sold]

History: While all the other boys and girls were off practicing with swords and staves and bows, Benjamin Kiley was busying himself with an education. The boy attended East Corone Parochial School, trapped in a stuffy uniform for all his days, the brisk warm colored days of autumn, the bright green days of summer. Ben was a boy who often got lost in his dreams and received average grades for it.

One day, on a cool Saturday morning, the air crisp and chill enough to warrant a sweater, Ben came across a group of older kids surrounding a sobbing little girl, their fingers tightly threaded through her long black hair, trying to wrest a little white object from her hands. His inherent sense of justice swept him from his quiet day of reading, and while he did manage to save the girl, he ended up battered and bruised at the hands of the older bullies. She vowed to never forget him, and gave him the little paper heart she'd been protecting.

But as the years pass, the memories fade into the gray horizon. Ben moved over to the west end of Corone when his father lost his job, and he could find no time for his own fun between school and the job he had to pick up to help his parents pay bills. But when he graduated, he found plenty of time on his hands, and his parents urged him soon, though gently, to go out into the world to see it for himself.

To discover who he was, and who held his paper heart.

Skills:

Blade Proficiency - Ben has a below average ability with his armblade. He's received no training with it, and has only the bare knowledge of it's use -- stab, slash.

Weaponless Combat - Like any other kid his age, Ben's spent a good portion of his life fighting. He has an average ability fighting with his hands, but has no training and is thus undisciplined, lashing out with every limb on his body available at the time. One thing that someone can at least give him some shred of respect for is his cast iron tenacity and will, refusing to give up despite the odds being stacked against him.

Quick Feet - As much as he's spent his life fighting, he's spent a bit more in "flight" mode. Running from cops, from angry merchants he steals from, etcetera. Thus, he's 1.5 times faster and more agile than the usual man is, though his endurance has yet to catch up to this.

Equipment: A threadbare faux leather wallet containing a hundred gold coins, the clothes on his back, and a leather and steel bracer on his right forearm, with a retractable steel blade.
