This is the official gambling thread for the Galaxy tournament. The gambling system for this tournament will be similar to that of pari-mutuel betting. Pari-mutuel betting is the type of betting you see in horse races, in which all contestants bet on a particular outcome. Those bets are placed in a pool; the House of Sora takes twenty percent from that pool, and the payoff is split evenly among those who wagered on the right outcome. Here are the rules and procedures. As you already know every battle in Galaxy is scored twice, first as a battle by the House of Sora, and then as a quest by the Althanas Staff. The wager in the Galaxy Bookmaker thread will be over what battle achieves the highest quest score in the round.
- Round matches will be determined and listed below.
- Wagers will be placed on which pair will score the highest quest score.
- Betting minimum is 50gp. There is no limit, but since the pot will be split evenly among those who choose the winning outcome, bet wisely.
- House of Sora will acquire twenty percent of the pot, and the rest will go to the winning wager. If no one bets on the winning outcome it will be added to the pot for the next round.
- All numbers, including equations, will be transparent.
