Appearances

Humanoid: Jame looks remarkably like a regular lanky human in this form, save for a few dragon scales down his back and deep red pupils. He is somewhat more athletic than muscular, though his physique is best described as a compromise between those two extremes. His hair is generally somewhat messy, though it is messy in a way that suggests it was intentional. In terms of length, his hair stops shortly before shoulder length, and his bangs go down to his jawline. His looks are generally unremarkable. Women who find him attractive do so more because of how well he dresses than his appearance.

Dragon: Jame is capable of transforming into a dragon form now. As a dragon, he is 14 feet in length and with a wingspan of 30 feet. He has green scales that are very soft, smooth and shiny. His eyes remain red. He has no plume and for a dragon, he is generally unremarkable.

Personality

Jame is a bit stubborn and unless overwhelmed by a situation, will act with confidence even if he lacks it. He is quite intelligent and considers himself to live a more intellectual life than the average Althanian. In general, he is relatively outgoing when in the mood, and he his witty and cheerful if in the right (generally female) company. He likes the finer things, be it books, wine, expensive clothes or women. However his hedonism should not be taken as a lack of discipline or callousness. Jame can be focused on tasks he is motivated to perform and generally cares to do the right thing.

Though Jame is naturally a dragon, he is somewhat ashamed of this. He is willing to take a full dragon form if it is necessary for survival, but he keeps this information secret. He finds how feral and bestial dragons can be as quite embarrassing.

History

Jame was born to a human mother, or at least this is what he believes to be true. However, he realized his stepfather was not his biological father soon after he started developing dragon wings. That was approximately the same time his stepfather had found that his wife was cheating on him. It was a generally bad time in the Whitizard household. However, in truth, Jame’s mother, Genevieve Whitizard, had not cheated on her husband, but had an affair shortly before marriage.

As a half dragon who knew nothing about his family, Jame grew relatively fast and without much guidance. However, this should not be mistaken for a difficult life. He was well provided for, and his mother was often provided money from a source that she always explained as being related to Jame’s biological father. However, she never revealed who Jame’s father was, and the boy grew up not knowing the identity of this seemingly wealthy man. Because his growth was so fast, Jame did not have any formal combat training in his youth, but did manage to gain the beginning trappings of an intellectual life. However, he was a quite undisciplined young man, who had trouble coming to grips with how quickly he was growing compared to other children. His grandfather and mother seemed unable to help him much.

Despite his relative wealth Jame ran away from home and had attempted to become a thief at the age of six. He did not need the money, because he often found that there were pouches of gold delivered to the various hotel rooms he stayed at, gifts he assumed were from his father. His father’s connections to power seemed to work in Jame’s favor in other ways also. Though his ineptitude at thieving lead to him being caught often, he never faced any repercussions as a result. In fact, Jame even received an opportunity to play in an elite game of the illegal, but popular, Khalikh. Through inexplicable luck, he ended up winning a sizeable sum of money at the game, though he did end up making a few enemies in the process as well.

Jame soon found the identity of his father, but not the source of his inexplicable luck. His father was none other than Damon Kaosi, former General of Raiaera. In his meeting with his father, he also aged physically to 23 years as his father aged to an old man. The Mya, who aged both him and his father, told Jame he would have an important role to play in the future of Althanas.

Jame returned to Corone to wait for instructions from his father on what to do. There, he had a short adventure with Edward Jurdone, Caine Raeinbark and Corvus MacCallum. They survived a trap put in place by a dark elf seeking to capture slaves to serve in the Coronian Civil War.

After this ordeal, Jame returned to Anebrilith, and examined a secret home owned by the late Enarlin mage Kedx Fieldeth. There, he met Kedx’s widow, Rainee Miyami, and the two of them were inadvertently sucked into a hell dimension. Eventually, they escaped, but not until defeating the Duke of the Fire Palace, Kedx Fieldeth himself.

Upon arrival in Carnelost, Jame helped Tel Aglarim find its first wall of defense against Xem’zund. They lost terribly, though Jame gained a bit of notoriety being one of the four soldiers who managed to escape with their lives. Once he arrived, he was asked to rescue a woman named Maia. He saved her, and also gained knowledge of the mysterious Patriarch, a demon capable of getting others to do his bidding through a simple bite.

After Eluriand fell, Jame went off to Scara Brae on the instructions of the headmistress of Aglarlin. There, he spent a brief period as a Pagoda master, in which he lost both matches he competed in. His position was taken by a man named Kross with connections to Xem’zund.

Before going back to Alerar, Jame was recruited in to a group known as Sine Nomine. Shortly afterwards, Jame went to Alerar on the hopes of getting more information about the Patriarch.

Humanoid Skills

Questioning Crossbow: For some odd reason, ever since Jame was a newborn, he has possessed this skill. When he summons the crossbow, the weapon magically appears in the air and asks its potential victim a question. Should the victim answer wrong, the victim is killed. (ooc note: against other players, they will have the option of determining the question and correct answer).

Firebreath: Jame can breathe fire capable of burning someone standing directly next to him. Anyone hit with firebreath from more than a foot farther away would be able to escape with burns that would allow them to continue battle, albeit with wounds. The flame can be projected five feet at most.

Inexplicable luck: Luck is no longer something that works in Jame’s benefit consistently. Occasionally, it helps him, but sometimes it seems to conspire against him.

Basic combat: Jame is now familiar with the basics of hand to hand combat, thanks to Anila. His skills are at best general, he understands that good fighting stances allow for mobility, and that he needs to include feints and other such strategic attacks into his plans if he is going to be successful. However, unless time is on his side in a fight, he is likely to overthink his strategy, and while he is naturally creative, he is not experienced enough for his creativity to be of much benefit.

Dragon Transformation: Jame can transform into a dragon. The process takes about a minute. When he is a dragon, he has only the skills labeled as dragon skills and none of the humanoid skills.

Partial Dragon Transformations: Jame can stop the transformation from or to a dragon at certain stopping points where he has some attributes of both being a dragon and a humanoid. Currently he only has one transformation.

1) Scaly skin- Under this transformation, Jame can coat his body with scales while retaining the shape and abilities of his humanoid form. The scales have the same level of protection that they do when he is a dragon. After two minutes, Jame must chose to either complete the transformation or revert to his initial form.

Dragon Skills

Flight: When Jame turns into a dragon, he can fly.

Firebreath: Jame can breathe fire capable of burning someone standing directly next to him. Anyone hit with firebreath from more than a foot farther away would be able to escape with burns that would allow them to continue battle, albeit with wounds. The flame can be projected fifteen feet at most, ten feet longer than in human form.

Natural dragon defenses: As a dragon, Jame has claws that are of limited use because they are relatively young. They are strong enough to pierce oak. His dragon scales are also very soft, and roughly offer the same protection as young dragon scale.

Loss of humanoid abilities: While Jame’s thought processes do not change, he is unable to do some things that he does in his human form. These include gripping weapons in his hands (claws) effectively, walking on his hind legs, and anything that requires opposable thumbs. Additionally, any skills he has in human form not listed here, unless they are a knowledge based skill, do not translate over to dragon form. He can speak, and his voice is a bit deeper, but otherwise he does not sound different.

Items

Namesake: A steel shortsword of little interest other than that it glows when Jame is in trouble.

Spear: Jame has a spear (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=9481) made of mythril and redwood. There are also strips of liviol within the spear that are enchanted so that if Jame summons it, it will return to him.

Medalion: The medallion carries a symbol unknown to Jame, but one that seems to carry certain meaning with others in Salvar.

Miscellaneous: As a well provided for young man, Jame posesses all the toiletries and clothing necessary to make do.

I have no problems with the change to your luck skill. It's interesting to see someone take a boon and turn it into a plot-thickening weakness.

As far as the scales, however, you need to specify what element Jame's scales are resistant against. And for the partial transformation, I'm leaving it up to you whether you lessen the area of the scales or put a time limit on how long he can have the scales before he has to revert to either human or dragon form.

For the spear, please provide a link to where you earned/bought it.

I'm not sure what you mean about elemental resistance. He is equally resistant to all elements. In most cases, this means not very resistant. if you'd like, I can edit in some kind of description about how magic effects his scales.

All the other edits that you requested are made.

Just to let you know, dragon scales can become resistant to a particular element, if you'd like to do that later on.

That said, you are approved!
