Name: Typheus Orikoma
Age: Unknown, physical body around 24
Race: Humanoid
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Green
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 146
*Occupation: Formerly employed in collective military federation in his home dimension. His title was Guardian of Light

Personality: Feels the need to fix his mistakes. He follows through to his goals, even if it means his death, and tries to do what he feels is right instead of what he feels would be in his best benefit; however, his sometimes leaves him falling into enemy traps when he is tricked into helping out the wrong person. When meeting new people, he is rarely the one to make the first move, but finds it easy to make the second.

He now has the urge to fight on no matter the risk, and continue fighting even if there is no hope of winning.

Appearance: Typheus has a slight muscular build and stands at about 5'9" His hair is untidy and is a bit spiky. His ears are slightly pointed, poking up into any parts of his hair that may be hanging down. His face is slightly gaunt, but not to an extent that would make him resemble a vampire. His trademark is his white clothing, resembling his ultimate role as a guardian of light. He typically wears a white wife-beater and white jeans, along with white and silver shoes. His trench coat is white with silver interlaced into it, giving it a shining effect. He typically keeps an upright posture to try to look the part of a hero.

History: "Created" at age 22 in the year 255A.F. in his own universe, he soon joined the Collective Federation Military and took on the Wise, a large group of civilizations that wanted to force a change in the minds of those who had not yet joined them. After fighting them for about a year, he came into contact with an enemy unlike the others. His name was Seriph and he was known as the owner of hell itself. His strength was unmatched, being able to bring down entire cities all by himself. Typheus fought him and eventually won, but Seriph got away, but not before revealing that he was the leader of a race of billions just like him. They became known as the Faceless.

Soon after, Typheus also learned that he was the reason the Faceless came into being, and how he was created in the first place. He used to be nothing more than a giant crystal that was the center of the universe's energy. When the Wise leader, Alphonse, destroyed the crystal, he was reborn as Typheus, but he wasn't complete. His real body was tucked away in a large hollow crystal floating in space which he needed to merge with if he wanted to stand a chance against the impending Faceless onslaught.

After having the Federation forces help him fight through the Wise lines, he reached the crystal housing his old body, but not before meeting Seriph again, who was now leading an army of human-shaped entities who were bent on his death. Thanks to the Wise realizing the Faceless threat and forming a temporary alliance with the Federation, the Faceless horde was stopped long enough for Typheus to enter the crystal, merge with his own body and kill Seriph in one fell swoop.

The Faceless were on a full retreat, but Typheus could not allow them to roam freely in his universe. He manifested a large vortex, only targeting the Faceless horde, but the power within the vortex built up and it released a tremendous explosion, ripping a hole in space and sending Typheus out of his own universe and into another random one, which happened to be Althanas.

Shortly after arriving, he discovered that a single Faceless, the last of its species, came through the rift. It tried to finish Typheus off, but he was saved by a traveling Ghoul named Lorenor who managed to wound the Faceless enough for Typheus to drive it off with his light blade. Lorenor promised to take him to the nearest town, and Typheus happily accepted. However, as they journeyed, Typheus started hearing a female voice in his head and they assumed it was a Thayne.

After surviving a bandit attack, Typheus challenged the voice, and soonafter, found himself knocked unconscious and whisked away to a pocket dimension, with Lorenor soon to follow. In the pocket universe, Typheus was greeted by his supposed guardian, a giant white and silver phoenix, who promised to guide him through Althanas before being forced to sacrifice herself to prevent Y'edda from using Typheus in an experiment to discover dimensional shifting abilities, and granted Typheus the ability to use light magic, which Lorenor found himself very vulnerable too, but still guided Typheus to the nearest town anyways.

Not long after, Typheus found himself fighting along a lizard-folk named Lexxum in a war while defending Valintal. After taking out many zombies and surviving a rotting, poison-spewing dragon, he came face-to-face with Netha'Tu and managed to wound him using a light arrow granted by some kind of vision of Ramia, a stick of dynamite, and the last bullet in his rifle. Netha'Tu used his new-found anger and psychosis to call forth tap powers and wound Lexxum, and finally summon a meteor to destroy the city they had worked so hard to defend. Typheus was about to try to fight again, but finally saw the Faceless from before and took off after it to try and reason with it.

He chased the Faceless into the Red Forest, and lost him, only to pass out from exhaustion and find himself saved by a bard elf named Sharingal who gave him a golden flute and put him to a test and sent him to the top of a nearby mountain to discover the fighting spirit that Typheus had lost when he failed to defend Valintal. On the way to the top, he was saved from an abomination by the Faceless from earlier, and discovered that Sharingal had sent him up as well to join with Typheus. After playing his flute at the top of the mountain, the visions of the people never giving up in the war, even though they were outmatched, filled his eyes and awoke him to the fact that he would have to fight now matter how weak he had become.

Sheringal pointed him towards Irrakam, in the desert country of Fallien, and that is where his current journey is headed shortly before pointing out that his encounter with Y’edda didn’t make a whole lot of sense and may have been misinterpreted.

Skills: Has gained weak light magic abilities such as the ability to project five balls of light before having to recharge his energy. The balls of light can do a small amount of damage to enemies and are especially effective against those of darkness.

He is also able to fire a light arrow, which goes further, does more damage, but takes the place of three of his balls of light and can only be used with a bow. A direct hit against someone with no protection would probably blow a small thumb-sized hole in them, to the same depth as an arrow would penetrate.

He has regained a small amount of his old swordplay thanks to his fights in Althanas where he was on equal or less strength with his enemy. He can take on a total novice without too much effort, but to someone who has been trained in swords a good bit, he will be the underdog.

Equipment: A forged light sword which was created from a very heavy concentration of light forged into physical being.

A golden flute which he has just now learning to use, but hopes to use it to cast light magic spells if the need ever arises.

A yew bow and quiver that is currently out of arrows.

A steel long sword and dagger. (The long sword can be left out if you want)

Familiar: None

NPC:
Name: Benedict
Age: Around 30. The Faceless age strangely
Race: Faceless
Hair Color: None
Eye Color: None
Height: Around 6’2”
Weight: 143
*Occupation: None

*Personality: Calm and collected. He typically does not favor straying from the path set before him so that someone can be helped, but he will eventually go along with doing it anyways. Not rude in the least bit, but he is stern.

Appearance: The Faceless have no color in their form and so therefore have no vivid description. They are basically walking silhouettes that are able to shape-shift their limbs into various weapons

History: Original home was a dying universe that, due to a series of unfortunate events, started to end long before its time. To survive, his race tried to move to another universe, but due to their appearance, their first encounters ended in bloodshed, and so they decided the only way to survive was to move into the new universe only after the current denizens have been killed off.
This resulted in failure as Typheus was chosen as the guardian of the new universe and proved too much for their plan. After their tactics to get two warring sides to kill eachother failed, they assaulted his universe directly in full force. Typheus, in his blind rage and overzealousness, destroyed every last member of the Faceless race, removing them from existence.
Benedict met up with Typheus when he and Typheus climbed the same mountain to find out their truths. He did not disclose his truth to Typheus yet.

Skills: He is stronger than a human and is able to turn his arms into weapons like blades or axes. They have about the same strength as a steel weapon and if they break, he’ll have to regrow his limbs over time.

Are the balls of light just simple balls of light, or are they somehow capable of doing damage. Please specify, and also give me an idea of how much damage the light arrow can do. If it hit someone, would it kill them, debilitate them, hurt them, not affect them much at all?

Meh, I think too much in terms of anime.

I'll go ahead and add it to my update, but just for easy reference I'll put it here too.

The balls of light are able to be projected away from Typheus's hands and can do damage to enemies. They can also be held in place as a source of light, but don't last forever.

The light arrow, if scoring a direct hit on someone with absolutely no magical protection, could probably blow a small hole in them.

How deep is the hole? If it goes straight through someone, that'd still be a problem, because many torso hits would hit vital organs.

Man, I just got some serious deja vu after reading your post. Like some past life crap.

I guess it'd just go just as deep as a normal arrow would go.

That sounds fine. As for the Deja Vu, I have no idea where you got that from. Maybe its just because I'm so utterly amazing.

Anyways, Approved.
