Since it was mentioned in my return thread, I thought I might make a thread to start hashing out idea for a possible thread with some of the vets around here. Those include Slayer, Molotov and Zephy. If you guys are interested, gimme some ideas for a possible explanation to the battle, where, etc.

The simplest explanation for a battle is just some rich guy offering a major prize to a bunch of Althanas' finest.

Dan's greedy enough to just rush in blindly for that, too.

The only problem is, Zieg's a bit preoccupied to be rushing off on some greed fest. In case you weren't aware, the demons were pushed back to Haidia and are currently in shambles. Zieg's a bit busy with that. What about a powerful force that teleports us all to some arena and demands we fight it out. I know its a bit cliched but...

That could work too.
What if somehow the tournament was being held by the Demon army to regain funds?

Right now, there really is no army.

I have an idea. A bit cliche and Dragonball-esque, but it might work.
Say there is an organization out there that wishes to take over all of Althanas. They are well aware of the problems that are going around in the main continents (Corone's civil war, Xem'zund issue, etc.) and are delighted. In order to proceed with plans of conquest, they put together a plot to create warriors with the strength of the finest warriors in Althanas. These created warriors when constructed would serve as the men that will go throughout all of Althanas and create war. Eventually, they seek to dominate. However, proper analysis of the Althanas' finest has to be done in order for them to create soldiers with the ability of Althanas' finest. So a "tournament" or event (whatever you want to call this) is formulated.
They start off with Zieg, Dan, Molotov, and Zephyriah. They get those four into this "tournament" by kidnapping somebody (or several people) close to them. Promises of their release are made under the condition that Zeph, Molotov, Dan and Zieg compete against one another.
Let me know what y'all think.

Sounds good to me, it could explain Zieg's disappearance. Shyam and Slayer?

I suppose, its as good a plot as any.

Sure. Mind if we wait just a little bit though? Blood Red Blossoms just finished and the judging should give me enough experience to level, and I'd rather go up against you guys with an even level.

No problem on my end. I don't want to get to over my head.

So who all's eligible? I think by setting that up, there could be more than the aforementioned three. And would it be by player, or character? As I'm sure Shyam while qualifying, would not be using Damon.

I was planning on using Molotov. He has just as many levels as Slayer or Zieg. And, he's an older character than Damon, even if he has less levels.

While, my original idea was for a fun free-for-all battle with four players, that idea gets a bit more crazy with more people. It becomes like the Cell tournament, which is difficult if one person doesn't post it gives everyone trouble.
Since more of you seem to be interested in something like this, we could turn this into a mini-tournament for high level oldbies. We could say only one character per player to keep activity high and I can randomize a bracket or something. Let me know what you think.

I think the mini-tournament is the best way to go at this point. That is, if we're all going to be serious about finishing it up.

Sounds great, I'd be up for that.

If everyone's cool with it, here is the current list of characters. Just confirm if you are in. Also, any other level 6 or above characters that want in, simply post saying so. Also, if any of you with multiple characters level 6 and above, let me know if I listed the wrong character that you'd like to participate with. Also 2, I don't believe in free rides, so if there are an odd number of participants in any round, there will be a three way battle, with 2 moving on.

I'm in, confirming for Molotov. Also, how about we each chip in 50 GP to buy an IC trophy for the winner?

That's sounds cool. We should do that. Or let the storyline do it for us.
However, I decided that I want all the battles to be three way so I need two more participants for an uneven 9. It's more epic that way, plus I think we can handle it and have more fun.
Also, I need your input. How long do you want this to be? Because I have two ideas.
The first idea involves two rounds, first round three three way battles. Second round, all the winners battle, all the seconds battle, all the thirds battle. Everyone gets ranked.
The second idea involves four rounds. Three three way battles in each round, everyone eventually fights everyone. Each players four scores are added up, and the person with the highest score in the end wins.
Let me know which idea you prefer and help me find two more combatants.

Either is fine by me, and I have ideas on how to get ready for this one. Speeds up certain elements, but thats alright.
Thats a confirmation of Seth's Appearance.

Totally confirming, as Luc. I like the idea of three-person fights and don't care how the structure works beyond that.

Here's the final concept of my idea.
An almighty force takes nine of the best warriors from Althanas, in some all out battle to determine who is the best. This occurs outside of time, so it does not interfere with any of our storylines, and officially occurs whenever it is that we get done. So if it takes two months or whatever, wherever we are in our story in two months is when it will happen. We will come back exactly where we were when we left.
OOCly, the battles will each be say 2 or 3 weeks long, whatever everyone thinks is best, with no extensions. As soon as that time period is over, everyone will be teleported to a new arena, completely refreshed. ICly, if you were in the middle of an attack when the first round ended, you can complete that attack at the start of the second round, though your opponent won't be there. This makes it much less important to rush to "finish" a battle because essentially it is one long battle split into four parts. The last round will likely be longer to allow everyone time to conclude. After each round, a judge will judge them and at the end the scores will be added together to determine the overall winner. Maybe some kind of EXP reward for the winner could be coaxed out of the moderators.
Thoughts?

I'm definitely in on this, thanks for realizing I'm a freaking vet too, Zieg. :p I'll be using Witchblade as well.
I'm not sure how easily you can coax an exp boost out of the mods though. I think The Architect and his gang had to do something special with Sighter in order to be allowed their private tournament. I have no idea what it was though.

Posting to confirm my participation. Either way is fine with me, as long as we have settings that don't suck.
