So, here's the thing. I haven't written in like ages and waiting hasn't improved my inspiration. So I've decided to try and break through with some crappy writing. Well, crappy on my end at least. So I have a battle set up over yonder (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?t=11032). The idea is very simple; whoever wants to take a crack at me is free to join the battle. Just write your intro, climb that pyramid and kick Letho's ass. The pyramid looks pretty much like Chichen Itza (http://www.creighton.edu/langlab/classes/spn202fs05/mexico2/chichenitza.jpg), only there is nothing on top.

Also, I would like to assure all those with whom I'm in a quest that I'm not abandoning any of those. In fact, I'm doing this battle so I can get back to my A game before I start writing those posts.

So come one, come all. It's gut check time. I'd like this to go fast, so I'll probably be responding when I get back from work in some 9-10hours if anybody responds by then. Just don't like swarm me by then. :cool:

Whoa, I certainly didn't expect so many responses. Thanks all for joining. Nothing quite like a bloody mess to get your creative juices flowing. I apologize in advance for the rustiness and not a very good opening post, but I wrote it minutes before I had to go to work.

Also, I figure we need some rules. First, whoever falls down into the darkness is eliminated. Second, we play this until the last man/woman/creature of choice standing. And three, so this doesn't drag out indefinitely, after a while the arena will enter a sudden death mode, where the whole pyramid will start to descend into the darkness.

Sounds cool with your guys? I'm off to write my post and call out more then I can put down.

Two things I'd like to mention.

One, I'd like to thanks Shyam for volunteering to judge this. These free-for-alls can turn into quite a mess and I know no better judge to sort it out.

And two, feel free to use bunnying here and there, folks, as long as it's approved by the other character. Bunnying can make the battle more natural, breaking the repetitiveness of the usual attack-reaction-counterattack routine. Just a thought, though.

I see you're level 7 but you never posted a lv 6 or lv 7 profile update. I know they aren't mandatory, so that's not my beef. My concern is that your post says I should be fried bacon from the light from your attack. I read over your lv 5 profile and it only states you teleport underneath the opponent, nothing about the white light dealing any kind of damage, let alone a one hit kill, at all.

Either way, the description of the technique gives me about 3 seconds to get out of the way of where the light will be, seeing as how only a moron would stand still while you take a knee (this isn't DBZ lol).

So yea, there ya have it.

I'll likely post within the next 24 hours. I actually still see a possible way that Edward won't be killed by you, but he is gonna need A LOT of luck.

If I don't use the most obvious plan, I do have a back-up, but once again risky as hell.

If nothing else, Edward does have a last ditch effort plan that has only been made available do to something somebody else has done. No matter the Scenario, though, Edward is likely to get his shit handed to him soon. :(

Dodging the woman's attacks as best he could, and attempting to stab her hand any time she attempted to grab him, Edward made his way toa hole in the wall and stepped out of it before climbing to higher ground, not worrying about the injuries that he had sustained as he led the woman up the pyramid.

...doesn't quite cover...you know the stab to the lungs, and the attempt to slit his throat. Not trying to be difficult, just confused as to how that would feasibly work....

I was just reading over my posts and realized the only reason I survived so long was that I was letting others defeat themselves for the most part. Actually, I understand what you mean completely. Still, It wouldn't have been entirely pointless to throw Edward at his opponents. It would serve as a distraction and he'd still likely get cut up.

But I think what you did fit your character better, as you just stated.

I'd like to believe Zeph did it to put Edward out of his misery more than anything else, though.
