Appearance
-Bayd is about average height and from a distance appears to be of average build. Instead of having massive bulging muscles he has trained himself intensely and has developed thick compact muscle and is extremely toned. He has a semi-attractive face except for it being frozen in a perpetual frown, his hair is kept cut short to an almost military standard. His most striking feature is his eyes, they are a bright red and orange mix, but it isn’t the color that makes them unique. Instead of the singular pupil that most humans possess, he has no pupil in one. Almost always wears common clothes but he always has a large dark brown duster hat and the hat is the only constant.
Personality
-Bayd is extremely stern in his attitude towards everything. It’s as though he doesn’t have a sense of humor and derives joy from nothing. He is extremely disciplined and typically follows a rigid structure in his routines. This makes him appear stiff and unreasonable to others, but it suits him fine.
Weapons
-Sword Staff: Although it isn’t a traditional weapon it is still one of his favorites. It’s about 8 feet in length total, the shaft is about 3 ½ feet with the blade making up the rest. The entire thing is made of iron and is quite heavy. The blade is about 8 inches at its widest and curves back slightly near the top.
Armor
-He can’t afford any.
Skills
-Sword Staff: Bayd is talented with his weapon and can use it fluidly without hurting himself, but he isn’t able to beat anyone with average training, but as it is an unusual weapon so not many can speak against his talent.
Traits
-Phantom Eye: Bayd’s right eye stays closed most of the time but during times of extreme action it will open partially, causing him to triple in strength, speed, and skill for two minutes. Depending on what he does it can be very draining, using it full out can leave his body paralyzed temporarily. He does not have control over when this happens nor does he rely on it.

History
- Bayd grew up into a military family, his father was a high ranking officer in some army or another, they tended to travel a lot but his father violently disagreed that he was a mercenary. He had two older brothers, the three of them were all raised by the general as their mother died when they were young, each resenting their father’s tyrannical rule and disciplinary lifestyle. As soon as they were able each of his brothers left home and joined up in some form of military, their natural talents easily getting them jobs. His eldest brother became an elite commando unit trained to perform sabotage and subterfuge to cripple enemies and spent most of his time underground with false identities. His second older brother joined the Corone government as a military advisor and rose to a high rank quickly.
It was just about time for Bayd to leave home when his father made a fatal mistake. He was double-crossing several employers at the same time, secret and highly connected agencies, and they discovered him. Simultaneous assassinations took place attempting to kill the entire family, but they succeeded only in getting Bayd’s father. He and his brothers were forced to change identities and distance themselves from each other to avoid attentions and they lived for a while, keeping contact through secret means every few months to ensure their well being.
The eldest brother missed a few contacts, one or two was normal, but the amount caused them to worry. The high ranking brother was unable to attempt to locate him while avoiding suspicion and so the duty fell to Bayd to discover the fate of his brother. Nobody would suspect a young man seeking out a stranger, head hunters and bounty hunters trying to make a name for themselves were far too common, he would blend perfectly. The problem came with his investigations, for they never told each other their new names or faces in fear of their missives being intercepted. Powerful and secretive societies had long memories and even longer arms, there was little on Althanas they couldn’t access.
The search for his sibling had begun, even if it took him to the far corners of Althanas, including Haidia.
