Appearance: Viola is a very slim, athletically built woman. She carries upon her a look of pure confidence and pride as she stands always straight in military fashion. Her hair is short, and should it ever be grown long its cut into a small pony tail. When not in full armor she wears a simple khaki colored burlap pants with black boots and a sleeveless white silk shirt.
Personality: A bit rough and sharp at the tongue, she worked hard for her fame and takes very little from anybody she sees lesser than her. Meaningless concepts such as love and passion do not detour her from her duties. She loves her blade and her passion is focused into her duty. She is very bright and can sense people’s motives when they cause intend to cause her harm.
History: Viola grew up in a small peasant town meant for farming her countries’ corn. She loved her family and grew up with a love for her country as well. One day when her kingdom was under attack her home was about to be burned when the king’s guard came and stopped her family from being slaughtered and the fire that would result in the loss of her home. She felt a certain debt that she knew she had to repay one day to her king.
By the age of fifteen she lied about her age and joined the army to repay what her king had done for her and her family. She studied under one of the greatest generals of that kingdom and she drank in all his knowledge he shared. Battle after battle she learned to brandish different weapons and learn when best to strike and military strategy. With this knowledge it wasn’t long until she became a captain of a small platoon.
During one of the bigger battles her platoon took up the rear and dove into the enemy camp charging through and killing every member of top brass the opposing army had. Soon the enemy plan was sent into dissension and her kingdom of Emprea triumphed. The king promoted her to be in charge of a full battalion for her courage.
Immediately she took her battalion up the trail and attacked the stronghold of their enemy in a surprise assault that nobody could detect. In a matter of days the opposing King retreated all his troops and Emprea was saved from months of war due to Viola’s cunning and ruthless tactics. This got her promoted to chief counselor of the entire Emprean army and full control over all of its vast troops. A high honor for one her age. She continued to rack up victories for her country and respect from her troops and leagues. Even her war council respected her despite the fact she was a woman. She became legendary to her people and beloved almost as much as the king she served.
One day her king called her in to his royal chamber…
“Viola,” the king said in a very regal tone. “You have done this country proud, and by doing so you have made even me proud. To have you in my army is a blessing from the gods.” At a bent knee before her king Viola didn’t even smile at the praise, but she did speak in a respectful tone.
“My king, I have done nothing more than my sworn duty to you and my country. Your praise flatters me, but is unnecessary.”
“You are much to modest,” The king said waving a dismissing hand. “You know full well this kingdom loves you more than they love me I dare say.” He laughed joyfully.
“My king, I assure you that is not the case!” Viola said shocked.
“Now now my child, do not worry. I am glad to have someone like you in my ranks. My kingdom is safe thanks to you…and I have a way to show you my appreciation. It is a very guarded treasure of my family. And I want to bestow it upon you to guard until my next of kin ascends the throne.”
“Such an honor is above my abilities my lord,” Viola said in shock. “I can not except this duty.”
“You will! Now, grab your most loyal men and woman. They must escort you to the dungeon where the treasure resides on the lowest level in the far cell. Be strong of faith, and you will seek what it is I wish to give to you.”
“My king I shall.” Viola said getting up and bowing low.
Little did Viola know, by going to the dungeon she would find a prize she was not suited for. All her fame, her glory, her praise could not prepare her for what she was about to embark into…
Skills:
Master of War: Master of war is a title given to Emprean Knights who pass the minimum requirements for certain weapons and Viola knows how to use these weapons; Axes, Lance, Small Sword, and Sheild. Minimum training is the ability to familiarly use the weapon in combat, but does not equal to actual skill, she has not mastered or even begun to master any of her weapons, and is considered to be at a students level of knowledge. (Master is just a grossly mis used term in the Emprean Army.) (Student level of knowledge)
Sense of Duty: Viola believes heavily in her job and duties. When she makes an oath or a vow she does so with the intent to complete it. Once per thread she can get a second wind of determination not to fail her sworn duty. This burst will grant her a fresh start for only one post however, and soon her fatigue will return by the next post.
Equipment: At the current moment walking into the dungeon, Viola has a small short Iron sword and a small satchel of healing herbs meant to stop scratches from infecting and close small cuts. She has enough for two uses
