History:
Ryudo’s birth was an accident, and some would go as far to say it was an abomination. One cannot belong to the elves and yet have human blood in his veins. His father, a noble elf, could not believe what had happened, and so he was faced with a tough decision. He had to either rid himself of his son condemning him to the life of an outcast, or take him and become an outcast himself. Unfortunately the noble elf chose the life of an outcast for his son, and he was sent away with a traveling group of merchants who had stopped through the elven lands. These merchants could not take care of a child and maintain their business, so they gave him to a poor village peasant in a neighboring town. Though everyone knew that this boy was special, he and his mother were still treated as less than garbage. As soon as Ryudo reached the age of maturity, he left his peasant life and picked up a blade. He grew in skill and ability and was quickly noticed by a group of mercenaries know as the blades of dawn. They took Ryudo as their own, and trained him further. Ryudo learned what it took to complete a “job”, and he learned truly the hardship of the new world he had found himself in. On one of Ryudo’s many contracts, he was brought to an abandon hill cave. The cave was said to be “haunted”. After defeating the “ghosts”, a few goblins, he found it. The blade that he now wields, Silver Fang. For the cave that he had enter was not an ordinary cave, it was a long abandoned forge from days long past. The blade radiated with its elven inscription, even though Ryudo spoke Elvish, this was a language long forgotten. Ryudo now searches Althanas looking for a job and someone who can translate the ancient language. Ryudo never knew his mother, and believes that she is still out their somewhere, Ryudo yearns to learn what has happened to her, and why she left him as well. Ryudo has only loved one women in his life, and she disappeared a few years ago. Everyone close to Ryudo says that she just left, but Ryudo believes it is something more sinister.

Skills:
Elven Senses:
With the elven blood running through Ryudo's blood, he inherits the powers of his brethren. His sight and his hearing are increased greatly, and he gains a six sense of sorts, he can perceive impending danger however this is not infallible.

Knowledge of the Elves:
Ryudo has ascertained a knowledge that is know only to the ancient races. Though incomplete, it does offer Ryudo the ability to know what herbs will cause healing and which will cause harm. Ryudo can use this knowledge to make small potions and poisons.

Ryudo has practiced with many blades throughout his illustrious career as a mercenary, his skill with the blade is above average. Therefore Ryudo is skilled with many blades, and can easily adapt to a new one picked up on the fly during a battle.

Elven Bowmanship:
Though half elf, Ryudo can use bows to surprising efficiency, though not his weapon of choice, if the situation arises, Ryudo can use a bow to dispatch an enemy.

Flame:
Ryudo has the ability to create a flame in the palm of his hand, from the elven blood running through his veins. Though creation is easy, projecting the flame is a talent that still needs to be polished.

The Fire of Anger:
When Ryudo becomes angered, he can enter an unstable state. This is caused by the mix of blood between the elf and human. In this state, Ryudo Flame power is changed to inferno. Also, his resistance to fire damage increases. However, watch out because everything close to Ryudo is in danger of being set on fire. This power is extremely fatiguing, and can actually cause Ryudo to pass out.

Inferno:
While only accessible during the Fire of Anger, Inferno causes Ryudo’s hands to transform into living fire. Ryudo can manipulate the flames with precision however they are likely to get out of control with extreme use. He is able to use the flames as a heat shield, and can use the fire as a projectile.

Chosen of the Fang:
Ryudo has been chosen by Silver Fang, the legendary sword forged of steel. Therefore Silver Fang has given some of its power to its wielder. Though there are more tiers of power in Silver Fang that Ryudo has not yet been granted, it is still powerful. The blade amplifies Ryudo’s power, however it is a demanding blade to wield, and Ryudo cannot use a shield while using Silver Fang.

Equipment:
Ryudo is the wielder of Silver Fang, the steel sword of legends. This blade does not allow Ryudo to use a shield, and therefore he does not carry one. Ryudo, being a mercenary, has a few tricks up his sleeve. He always carries a trusty yew bow, with a set of twenty iron arrows for mobility. He also carries two daggers, the length of his forearms, for a more stealthy attack. With his knowledge of herbs, Ryudo is sure to be carrying a few for healing and maybe even for poisons. His armor, is a combination of human and elven medium armor. Though it does not offer the greatest protection, it does allow for easy mobility and a large range of motion.

Familiars:
Ryudo takes many jobs, and often people cannot pay up, many times he takes something that they offer him, whether it be food or drink. However once he eradicated a nest of goblins from a village high up in the mountains. To repay him, they gave him the egg of a dragon. The egg hatched soon after, and now a tiny baby dragon travels with Ryudo. Often hiding in Ryudo’s hood, the dragon now is small and weak, however Ryudo knows that one day it will grow to be big and strong.

Well, I feel that you've made a good and well thought out character, but unfortunately, I need you to clarify what you mean by your swordsmanship. We don't like level 0 characters starting off as masters, but if you only tend to play him as an above average sworsdman, that will be fine.

Also, could you stipulate that your sword is made of steel?

Once you've made those edits, you'll be approved.
