Awesomeness! (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30051.html)
I was very sad for quite a while when I heard Marth was going to be replaced with the sword fighter Ike, who kind of resembles Marth....but yea....lame.
And then I saw this Japanese intro! OMG! It's awesome.....and it shows Marth!!!! I was jumping with joy! I know its just a video game, but hey! Any SSB veteran will tell you its like going back into your childhood to fucking stomp on all those other old video games that pissed you off!
*Look at the first Mario game and it's amazingly hard last level for a six year old*
So yea, I was surprised that there isn't a SSBB thread here! Let's get it started and hear what you people think about it and the upcoming release!

I am absolutely in love with the Super Smash Bros. series. Melee was the only game that I've ever place consistently for five straight years. I'm going to buy a Nintendo Wii specifically for SSB Brawl.

Wikipedia to your rescue, brother man! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R.O.B.)
They just call 'im "Robot" over there in Japan.
I find some aspects of the lineup slightly questionable, but the rest seems pretty spiffy, so all is well.

Oh? Like which?
Personally I'd love to see the Ice Climbers heads on pikes in a stage rather than have them as playable characters.
Seriously....they suck.
Elijah_Morendale
01-30-08, 07:49 AM
I was one of the many who were pulling for Geno (from Mario RPG on the SNES) to be a part of this.... So needless to say I'm a bit disappointed with some of the lineup as well.
Oh well, there's always next console generation.
SSBB looks almost exactly like melee, which wasn't that different from SSB the original.
Nintendo doesn't beat dead horses. They cut them open and make themselves a home.
It's not a terribly bad thing. I loved SSBM until the disc stopped working for me. It's just...this game is the only reason most people got Wiis. I know I sold my Gamecube after melee stopped working.

Brawl has a ridiculous amount of content. Stage editor, new characters, assist trophies and smash balls, online, etc. I'd say it's a good enough upgrade that it's not just a rehash.
The Barbarian
01-30-08, 11:25 AM
I agree with Cyrus.
Up until a couple months ago, I would've said it was just a remake with more characters.
But they are really going all out. Even really cool paired story lines.
*Points at Samus and Pikachu*
My friend Michelle is really looking forward to seeing how that one plays out.
I personally want to see how Marth and Metaknight fuck up the hordes of purple enemies, lol.

OMG. I had assumed until now that since they didn't say anything about it Jigglypuff wasn't in this SSB. I was bummed about it too. I was so good with Jigglypuff, I could get rest (The almost instant KO move) to hit 75 percent of the time in Melee. And forget about knocking me off the screen with a weak attack, usually anyone that tried that got hit with a mid-air rollout attack to the face. Also, jumping over my rollout attacks almost always resulted with me reversing direction and hitting you from behind. I was also a master at a close range technique I call the "No charge time rollout knockback move". Yup, I was godly with Jiggly. Even beat Giga Bowser with the Puffmeister. (Not easy. Rest knocks him an inch in the air and rollout is pointless against him. Ok, I'll admit it, I got a bit lucky there. Mid-air Rest knocking him backwards instead of in the air FTW.) Now I find out Jiggly returns? Assuming the moves haven't changed, It's time for the rapefest to begin again.
The Barbarian
01-30-08, 11:36 AM
Yea I had friends like you Ed. Lame ass Jigglypuff users. Nothing my Marth or DK couldn't handle tho.
Until I met a friend of a friend. Never seen a Puff like it. He didn't bother with Rest but focused on non-stop moving and a cheap KO where he'd do a mid-air backkick and keep doing that to you off the edge of the stage until you were too far to recover and float back to safety.
It was retarded. I have since been able to actually bring him down to one life left and can only beat that bastard when 4 people are playing, because he actually takes random attack damage and I can sword tip him for the kill (or like last time, wait for him to do the cheap KO on someone else and then down smash him as he's floating back to the edge). Everyone actually cheered when that happened because that was his last life lol.
But yea, I can see great times happening now with Final Smash and awesome new items with crazy levels.
Elijah_Morendale
01-30-08, 11:37 AM
That stage editor will keep me busy for a long time, along with the online modes and the Subspace Emissary.
Jigglypuff was always one of those characters that seemed like a joke up until you met someone who knew how to play as her. Same with Yoshi, Pichu (I used to DOMINATE with him), and Ice Climbers. For me, Rest was only an option in a match with 3 or 4 people.
Christoph is also a heavy Marth user. He'll complain a lot if it's not a one-on-one match with no items whatsoever though lol. Actually, I don't think I've seen him use anyone other than Marth...
I myself rotate between DK, Zelda/Sheik, Pikachu, Link (downward stab ftw), and Kirby. King Dedede and Meta Knight will have to be added to the rotation come March.
The Barbarian
01-30-08, 11:48 AM
lol
As a heavy Marth user myself, I'm just up for the fight. 1 vs 1 or four players free for all. Either situation I usually come out on top. Counter ftw in big fights. XD
Marth is my favorite character. However, I always loved Mewtwo because of his stun ability and Samus-like charge up attack.
Fox and Falcon were people I really kicked ass at though, because of their speed attacks, blasters, and reflectors.
I always forget, was Falco's reflector thing different from Fox's in any way? I know their blasters were different.
Edward Judorne
01-30-08, 11:55 AM
I doubt you've met anyone who can use jigglypuff as well as me without being cheap, Barbarian. I'm not saying that I am the best Jiggly puff user out there, but DK users are a joke to me. They are too easy to take out with rest. Marth would likely be a bit of a challenge, but honestly, I Every event match you can use jiggly for, I beat with Jiggly. That includes the insan event matches 50 and 51. Marth would probably be a victem of rollout.
Another interesting fact. Jiggly versus bowser, pokefloats stage, Bowser a CPU at difficulty 9, Damage at 200 percent, one life each, 1 on 1 fight.
I'm Jiggly, and under those circumstances I can get a win in (according to the game,) 00:00:00 seconds. Yes, it actually says the match time is 00:00:00. Rest FTW.
Elijah_Morendale
01-30-08, 12:18 PM
Yes, it actually says the match time is 00:00:00.
I can do that with Zelda's dreaded Lightning Kick.
And the DK users you know must really suck. Most of my friends put the controller down and scream "why bother?" when I pick him.
Edward Judorne

And the DK users you know must really suck. Most of my friends put the controller down and scream "why bother?" when I pick him.
I get the exact same response when I choose Jigglypuff. We ought to exchange friend codes sometime over PM, that way when Brawl comes out, I can FINALLY face someone I might lose to. As it stands, Even if all my friends were to gang up on my Jigglypuff, there is only one friend I have that would stand a chance against me.
He uses Ness and Mewtwo in such an ungodly fashion, it isn't even funny.
And by the way, that "No charge time rollout knockback move" isn't easy to pull off. here's the gyst of it. If you get in Rest range (Overlapping characters) and do a rollout move, the start-up of the spin will be cut short, but you'll do damage and knock the foe back. Works best mid-air. Discovered it by accident..

Yeah, we'll throw down. I've been shirking my posting duties lately to regain my skillzzz in Melee with my team so I can stand a change online.
Ness! If they nerf him again like they did in Melee, I'mma be one unhappy Earthbound fan.

01-30-08, 12:39 PM
Hahaha! I say we all become Wii friends and settle this on the Brawl stage!
I really hope they fixed DK because he was amazing in SSB. SSBM really messed him up and limited him in a few ways. He's still really good in the right hands, but not as awesome as before.

Elijah, you could always write the friend codes down, take them off the Wii, put the Wii back online, Play some games with us, then put the friend codes back on the Wii, right?
Or isn't it that simple?

God, the only way they could make Jiggly better is if they replaced Sing with something that I can actually find a use for. Not that sing isn't useful for beginner Jigglypuff users, but What's the point of racking up damage on opponents, then putting them to sleep if you can KO them before you rack up the damage needed for Sing to be useful?
Oh yeah, the Final smash also improved Jiggly.
The Barbarian
01-30-08, 02:42 PM
Hahaha...freakin' sing. Taking it away would be like taking away Pikachu's thunder/bolt/shock.
What's his final smash do?
HikariAngel
01-30-08, 02:51 PM
About the fox/falco shield differences, coming from someone who practically mastered Falco, the difference is lethal.
Fox's shield knocks you to the side. Not too helpful especially since it won't knock them out of recovery range.
Falco's shield blasts you into the sky. When coupled with grab down, reflector, then a sky juggle, I've KO'd someone without having them touch the ground after the throw.

No clue. They haven't announced Jiggly on the official brawl site yet. The screen shot of the character select posted in this topic shows him, though.
If I were to take a guess, though, It would be similar to what happens when Jiggly gets pissed after realizing that everyone slept through her song. She gets PISSED.
The Barbarian
01-30-08, 03:15 PM
Hahaha that would be awesome.
I really like Kirby's so far. Looks funny.
And good info Angel. I didn't realize that. Never let a falco get near me cuz of that stupid kick. XP
HikariAngel
01-30-08, 03:30 PM
It's not that simple... the only thing blasters are good for is making sure you get the point when you aren't the one who knocked them off. If I'm not in your face with falco, I'm either flying off the screen or planning something to make you fly off.
Oh, and never let a Falco edge-guard. His aerial down attack is a Meteor Smash with Zero charge time. You don't recover from that.

Yeah, well Sega no longer produces hardware and is basically Nintendo's bitch now, so naturally they would implement the most demanded character for SSBB.
Melancor
01-30-08, 08:07 PM
In my opinion Pikmin is the most random character they would add... Followed by Pokemon tainer, that was unexpected.
And yeah, apparently Sonic is going to be really cheap. too fast, and not that weak.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lOKE9PWrck), In my opinion is the most Epic thing Nintendo has pulled out.

I surprised he doesn't have a cane yet. He was done once his gray hair started poking out. I'd say his credibility is as strong as that of the Dreamcast. What happens when Snake becomes a corpse? Parade it around in yet another Metal Gear mission?
At least Sonic is still awesome, lol.
But either way, this is a thread about SSBB! Not the popularity or awesomeness of either character! Let's keep it on topic and open a new thread for single character disputes if anyone wants too! :D

To give you an idea, I used rest back when Nintendo power said it had no effect whatsoever in SSB. Little did they know, that at 25% health Rest killed. THAT was how powerful it used to be. You literally had to be PUSHING characters to get Rest off.
That is how far I've come with Jiggly puff.
I love that little bit of fluff.
And my Pikachu in SSB was godly as well, because he had the fastest throw rate in the game. He was frames faster than both Mario and Falcon. I had people choose DK just to try and Suicide with me, to ensure I would not threaten others in a match. I also still won.
Edward Judorne
01-31-08, 08:38 AM
Heh. You started using rest about the same time I did, then.
Nice to see another Jigglypuff user, though. Most people I know think Jigglypuff is either pointless or too hard to use.

Pardon me while I try to suppress my Nintendo fanboy urges to kill...
Geno was one of the characters in the Nintendo/Squaresoft collaboration "Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars" for the SNES. He was basically an doll possessed by a star spirit, and had the most powerful magic attacks in the game. There was an awful lot of demand for him--I think some of the people on the gamefaqs.com forums went so far as to draft a petition for his inclusion in Brawl. But, with Square being a bunch of squares, I doubt it would've happened anyways.
Oh well. There's always hope for Smash Brothers Massacre.
Speaking of hoping, let's pray that Wolf isn't another Fox clone with a slightly different A-moves set.
The Barbarian
01-31-08, 11:16 AM
Oh, I never really played the Super Mario games on SNES. Never had one.
Well not true...I had a SNES for about 2 days when I was 8 years old. It was taken away before I was ever able to set it up because we found out the friend my grandfather had purchased it from had actually stolen it from his ex-wife (i.e. his own son) and said wife was asking to buy it back since my G-PA had no idea what was going on.
So yea....Wolf had better have some cool moves. Like a charged up laser gun or maybe calls in a Wolfen to pwnz all! XP

From what I can see, there are a lot of characters that could be clones.
There are Ness and Lucas
Marth and Ike
Mario and Luigi
Fox, Falco, and Wolf
Captain Falcon and Ganondorf
And, were I to venture a guess, I'd say Olimar and Pokemon trainer play similar and Maybe Robot plays like Mister Game and Watch?
These are not facts, none of them are, yet. I hope that Nintendo fixed up the movesets so they aren't so similar, but if not, then Wolf will likely fall into the same catagory as Fox and Falco, like you said.
Here's hoping Nintendo is smarter than that.

You guys all talk a big game. One-on-one (with or without weapons), I could woop you all in SSB:M. I was always Roy (his exclusion from SSB:B annoys me). If I have to choose another character, it would most likely be Kirby. Yes, I am the annoying guy who would eat you, jump off the edge, drop you into the abyss while floating safely back to land. In SSB I always loved Falcon. *If* SSB:B brings back the original Falcon power attack (the roundhouse) I will use him. His power attack in SSB:M was too slow for my tastes.

Bring it! I think you are the one talking all big with nothing to back it up. I doubt you could take what I have to dish out. Oh, and by the way, I agree that we have our forth challenger, Barbarian.
But back to you, Dirks. I'm curious what makes you think you can beat us? Especially me, as Jigglypuff, the other annoying guy that has the ability to drop you into the abyss while floating safely back to land. still, If you get my rollout attack and know how to use it, you may be trouble, but honestly, I doubt you could last too long against me. No lightweights have ever stopped me other than Ness. Heavyweights can't stop my skills, too easy of a target for Rest. Master hand, Crazy hand, and Giga bowser have all fallen to my mad skills as Jigglypuff. Elijah gave a good reason for me to challenge him. His friends give up as soon as he chooses his character. Barbarian gave me reason to fight. He's faced many good jigglypuff users and only the cheap one beat him. So far, the only reason you've given me is the fact that you we are all talk, and we were looking for a fourth person. So, I'll ask again? What skills you got that makes you think you stand a chance?
------------
Yes, I do realize I'm being arrogant and cocky myself, and I apologize for that.
HikariAngel
01-31-08, 01:12 PM
I'll be your fourth. Like Dirks, I am annoyed that Ike replaced Roy, but I have yet to find any character able to stand up to Falco. Heavy or light, once you leave the stage, you don't get back on. I've also used Jiggly enough that I know most of her strengths and how to counter them. The only reason my friend kept playing against me with Falco is because he was both a glutton for punishment and was a firm believer that I would slip up.

The closest to one was a fight I had Patrick (Dissinger) in Halo 2. Him and his brother against me. I smoked them. Like turkey bacon.
March 9th!!! I will be a total nerd and get it at Midnight!
Boo! No Mewtwo?
I don't care that he sucked. There still aren't enough bad guys in this game. Bowser, Ganon, and... that's it. Dedede and Metaknight seem to flip between good and evil like a light switch, and Wario isn't a bad guy to me anymore. Mewtwo kinda was, even though he wasn't very good - but he could have been excellent with a few tweaks.
Star Wolf is a cool add-on if that video is for real.
They're still lacking a Fire Emblem baddie - Nergal, Lyon or Ashnard would all be awesome, but fuck Black Knight - and King K. Rool needs in badly. DK >>>>> Kirby... why the hell does Kirby have a bigger supporting cast than DK?
wtf at Paper Mario getting left out. That would be hilarious.
I'll get this game at some point, and I'll love it. But to me, there are far too many bleh characters (Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, Pokemon Trainer, Toon Link, Robot, and Olimar just doesn't seem like a good Smash Bros. fit) and still many no-shows that deserve a look (K. Rool, Paper Mario, Nergal and either Lyn or Micaiah from Fire Emblem, Geno, and I could go on). I definitely feel that they could have done better with the cast.
The Writing Writer

I've been watching videos and the pokemon trainer looks like he'll actually become one of the best heavy hitters in the game, being that he has light, medium and heavy combat capabilities. You, me, one on one. As soon as this game comes out, you're mine. I'll show you who the NOOB is. Be prepared for rollout at it's finest. I'll knock you off again and again with rollout. You won't know what hit you. I'll bet not even you can dodge my rollout onslaught.

3 points of note.
1:I'm not your average rollout user. I know ALL the rollout tricks. (Air rollout, Reverse rollout, Double reverse rollout, Extreme standalone rollout, Launch rollout, Fake-out rollout, Fake Fakeout Rollout, Wall bounce Rollout, Air reverse rollout, no charge rollout knockback technique... Etc.)
I've mastered a lot of these techniques too.
2: I am more of a Rest user than a rollout user, usually. And I've mastered Air rest, Double air rest, ground to air rest, and double ground rest to the best of my abilities.
3: For that comment, you just got added to my list of people to defeat using mainly rollout techniques.

I'll Pwn them for you if you'd like.
Oh, I missed a few rollout skills in my list.
Dropout Rollout, Deadweight Rollout, Air dropout rollout, Air deadweight rollout, Md rollout, Air Md rollout, Double Md rollout, Triple Md rollout, Bouncy Bouncy rollout, Air Bouncy Bouncy Rollout, and of course your usual rollout.
Bet you didn't know there were so many rollout techniques.
There are 4 more rollout... things... worth mentioning.
Sacrifice Rollout: I have not mastered it yet, but it is when you use rollout like Falco's laser in an effort to keep them from getting back on the platform, however, you'll die in the process too.
Near sacrifice Rollout: Same as above, except you bounce back onto the platform.
Ground WEEEEEEEEEEEE!: A rollout where you sail off the stage after the enemy jumps over your rollout. In other words, you suck at rollout.
Air WEEEEEEEEEEEE!: You used an air rollout attack and totally misjudged how high you were. Congratulations, you fail. (Seriously though, you wouldn't believe how easy it is to accidentally do this)
PS: Rollout is Jigglypuff's ultimate recovery move.
Atzar, the reason why Kirby gets more props than Donkey is because HAL Laboratories, the developer of the Kirby games, is the developer of SSB:B.
I didn't think about that. Good point.
And yes, Mewtwo sucked. He was one of my favorites to use, but he sucked. How many of those videos have you seen with Mewtwo kicking ass? Taj was sick with Mewtwo, but he was the exception, not the rule. Nobody else played him near well enough to take on a decent player with a better character.
Bleck would have been a cool character to have, I agree. I don't mind Ike - Nintendo has to attract attention to its newer games, after all - but I would have liked some more Fire Emblem options. The only thing against Lyn, though, is that every-freaking-body in that game has a sword now - she probably would have ended up being Mrs. Marth, unless they did something stupid like putting her on a horse. That's the reason I would have preferred Micaiah over her.

SSBM got slammed for being too fast and odd to use with the gamecube controller.
They'll get used to it all and be wasting their lives with it soon enough.
HikariAngel
02-02-08, 01:59 PM
Melee was faster, yes, but I don't see how people say it was odd with the controller. I guess I just got used to it really fast. Once I get a Wii, I am SO getting this game.
The Barbarian
02-02-08, 02:05 PM
Well think about it Hikari. We had just come from at first a rectangular based controller for quite a few years. N64 comes out with their new design that people gawked at but quickly adapted to and saw the smooth control system.
Gamecube releases with the new controller and everyone that was used to playing SSB a certain way suddenly had to change drastically. The new quick smash was awesome but had to be intergrated into the button system we had gotten used to in the first game.
I had some friends (and enemies) who took a while getting used to the controller. Personally, I was flying through enemies in a couple hours.

02-02-08, 02:49 PM
Well its sure going to be hard adapting to it. I was never into Meta-gaming as much as other people but I did Mexican yu-do (as in yu do no who you're messing with). Pretty much the old school tricks and strategies without feeding off the glitches of Melee.
(They call it Mexican judo because Mexico has a high gamers community, but at the same time lack of the information about, tricks, glitches, Meta-gaming basically, so many people become good on how the game was intended to be played.)
All those small glitches, like L-canceling, Wave-dashing and all that kind of meta-gaming stuff was taken out, many people are complaining that its going to be too stiff when it comes to competitive playing. (Supposedly, in brawl, you trip if your character is moving too fast. WTF)
HikariAngel
02-02-08, 03:25 PM
I noticed in many reviews that people "Pros" were sincerely offended when L-canceling and wave-dashing were taken out. Personally, I'm happy about the fixes. I got good playing the game the way it was meant to be played, not by taking advantage of glitches.
I haven't heard about the Brawl tripping, though.
That just sounds... weird.
BlackAndBlueEyes
02-02-08, 03:29 PM
I honestly never even knew about L-canceling and wave dashing until people started bitching about their exclusion in Brawl.
And the only time I've heard of people tripping in Brawl is when they step on an errant banana peel...

Well, just for my 0.02, I had a GC and now have a Wii, and I was decent as SSB:M, played quite a bit of it in college when I was supposed to be over at a friend's apt studying for some quiz or another... I won't make any claims to be awesome at it, in truth I probably lost as many if no more times than I won. But I always played the same character because of a long standing love affair with her.

Already have the Wii, so when Brawl comes out I'll be racing to beat every other crazed fan to my gamestop :P
Ah let's see, I didn't really use a lot of characters when I played SSB or SSBM.
It would alternate between Mario, Pikachu, and Link. Mario being my favorite character :P
Of course, with practice, Captain Falcon could be a real overpowered choice if they still have his Knee attack (Which I hope they didn't)
I'm not really all that of a real good player but I'd be happy to play too :p
Oh and the storyline thing is going to be sick! I wanna try all the combinations! Unless they're already specified.
The Barbarian
03-07-08, 04:28 AM
I believe they are specified.
And less than 2 days people! I will be a total nerd and get mine at midnight and play that shit til dawn!
And we do need to start exchanging the code thingies.
Also, who is still up for a Althanas Tournament for SSBB? If you are, I say....2 weeks from release date? Give everyone enough time to get comfortable with someone?
Maybe we could get the mods to grant the winner a user title that says "Smash King" or something. And something for the runner up...like "Tripped at the Finish Line" XP
BlackAndBlueEyes
03-07-08, 08:35 AM
Two more days... *heart*
We'll exchange friend codes when we actually get the games, since they're specific per game, not console.
And yeah, we need an Althanas Smash Brothers tournament. We'll get together and arrange all the details when the time comes, mmk?
BlackAndBlueEyes
03-08-08, 05:00 PM
Tonight. It's fucking happening. I'll have my friend code posted sometime tomorrow afternoon if I can pull myself away from the game long enough.
But the point is, we need to figure out how we're going to do this tournament. Stock? Time? One on ones with no items on Final Destination (a big Godhand-style "fuck you" for jerkoffs who only play this way), or an excess of bob-ombs and four people kicking ass in Hyrule Temple?
Personally, I think five stock matches with four people and a medium supply of all items would be best. But that would also depend on how far away we are from each other... IGN LA and IGN SF (500 miles apart) didn't have any lag when they duked it out... But I live in Upstate New York, so.... whatever.
By the way... Falcon Punch (http://youtube.com/watch?v=mx_Cen3qoSA), bishes.
I'll be picking up my pre-ordered copy first thing in the morning. Once I have it I'll probably try to clear the adventure mode and then learn how to pwn with Snake.
As for the tournament. I'd say some Stock battles would be best. 20 lives, normal drops and some decent level. Unless someone wants to make some custom level specifically for the tournament.
Once I get my copy of the game. I'll PM anyone who wants my friend code.

I have it, but my Wii was one of those unfortunate souls that have a harder time trying to read the dual layer disc. Looks like I'll be sending it back to Nintendo to get fixed/upgraded.
And a small story for you smash junkies.
As I waited in line at 10 pm PST, they began bringing people in to pay for it early and make the midnight process speedier (nothing new here). Well, once I paid for mine, I noticed four guys sitting at a Wii console playing SSBB, having a great time. I paused and asked as the match ended with a Wario winner how I could get in on this.
"You have to be a tournament winner." One of them said. Two other nodded in a sort of "We're bad ass" agreement.
"Here, have my spot for a round." Said the last guy. I smiled like a chocolate fiend locked in a Hershey's factory overnight and went straight for my Equilibrium Marth (Remember how we nickname the different costumes? Cookie to whoever gets that reference).
I then proceeded to awkwardly control this slower and shorter ranged Marth. His charged arc slash was much shorter, his movements sluggish but this was quickly adapted too as I sent a Squirtle flying across the stage with a Charged B attack.
The guy looked at me funny as one of his three lives went down the drain. I grinned.
I proceeded to kick the shit out of the region tournament winners who had been apparently playing SSBB for a few hours already.
Isn't that a wonderful way to start the night? ^_^

I haven't checked my friend code yet, but I have unlocked jiggly already. played through subspace Emissary in one night, no breaks. beat it.
Is it just me, or does the final boss look, act, and fight like that guy from the movie lawnmower man?
Beat event matches 1-20. tried to beat another event match, failed, then jiggly approached as a challenger, which confused me, but, whatever. I unlocked jiggly, then went to sleep.
Perhaps someone can answer something for me though, I beat subspace Emissary, but my percentage is only in the eighties. Why is that?
Oh, as for how to do the tournament, I say that we wait a month so more people have the game and those that have it can unlock everything. Also, I've heard that the online activity has skyrocketed because of brawl and it's hard to get a connection for something like our tournament right now. To add to problems, I'm going to have to buy a Wi-Fi connecter if I'm to do this tournament thing, because one of the staff at the group home I live at left, and the wireless router I was using to connect was his. We still have a router, but it isn't wireless. So I'm going to need to wait a month anyway.
But stage select set at random, one on one matches, medium items, would be best. that way if somebody's connection ends up going out, it affects less people. Also, if we do it that way, it will be easier to find a time for the battles, because let's face the facts, not everyone is online at the same time.
Because it will only be 1 on 1, I propose either 5-10 man stock matches or a 10 minute timed match.
BlackAndBlueEyes
03-10-08, 09:13 AM
Five man stock, one on one, medium items, random level. Best of three.

Besides, the wii is just a person's way of saying they've given up the quest for sex.
The Wii is gay.
I should know. Me and a male (gay) friend of mine were playing Mario Party 234345234234 and it was amazing just how many of those mini-games amounted to gay-offs. Like the one where you have to flag down a ship form the shore. Yeah....
Course I love my Wii. But that doesn't help the the-wii-is-gay arugment.
Finally got all the characters and I think I only have two more levels to unlock.
I like the idea for the tournament. 5 life stock matches, best of three, etc. I think it could work if we have enough people.
Speaking of more people. C'mon, we need more friend codes. Right now the only people on my list are BlackandBlueeyes and Barbarian.
I'll be getting the game in about two weeks (Stupid two week pay cycles) I'll post my code then. Also, I've got a crap ton of friend vouchers for Metroid, if anyone wants one.
