Not Moonlit Raven please.

Jame considered the bazaar a dull place to shop. It was a place to run errands, and the half dragon often didn't have the kinds of errands that required him to visit weapons shops. In fact, there was a part of him who considered the whole idea of going to the market to deal and bargain over tools of destruction to be a little bit distasteful.

As he approached the merchant, however, he was smiling. The smile was more for manners than out of any genuine interest in the merchandise, but it was a smile just the same. Jame had a bag of two hundred gold coins on him at the time, and since he didn't care much for negotiations, he emptied a handful of it on the table.

"I'd like to get some arrows," he said. "That's about fifty pieces of gold right there, and I have more. What kinds of arrows would you sell that could pierce standard steel armor, and what would you charge for them?"

(By armor here I mean something akin to a breast plate, not chainmail)

Edward looked down at the pile of gold and then back up at the customer, nodding understandably at the request being made.

"If by Steel Armor you mean breastplates, I think I can get you one of those. Please allow me a moment."

The storekeeper moved swiftly to a nearby stack of arrows and tentatively picked through them, taking note of each one his hand met and selecting only a few in the end. Returning to the counter, he laid them out for the customer to see.

"Bodkin tips are what you'll need, sir." Emphasizing his point, the merchant picked up one of the more mundane-looking ones and held it up for Jame to see. "A solid head of metal wrapped around a sturdy wooden shaft. It won't be that good against flesh in comparison to your normal barbed arrowheads, but it's guaranteed to punch straight through steel plates given the right amount of force."

Laying the arrow back on the counter with the other three, Edawrd announced the price for each kind he had.

"I've got oak with brass heads, that's two pieces each. Then there's oak with steel at 3 pieces, 5 pieces for oak shaft with plynt heads and seven for cyper with steel heads. Take your pick and I'll tally up the price for you."

Jame smiled. The price was surprisingly agreeable. The plynt arrow heads seemed appealing also, because Jame knew that the metal, though more expensive, was also flammable. "Give me twelve of the plynt arrows," he said. "And give me twelve of your normal arrows too, but make them just oak and steel."

Edward nodded in acknowledgment and gathered up the arrows, placing each of the dozen into two, plain-looking quivers.

"These leather quivers are free of charge, sir." The merchant announced as he set them on the table. "But if you would like to buy some separately, they're 5 pieces each."

((These leather quivers can hold up to 15 standard arrows.))

Jame nodded. "Actually, make it an even 15 then," he decided. If he was getting the quivers free anyways, he might as well round out the number of arrows evenly. "Fifteen of each kind, and the two free quivers," he concluded.

He was pleasantly surprised with himself, he had not only managed to get arrows at a price he considered reasonable, but had managed two free quivers out of the deal as well. He didn't know if it was his increased status since Carnelost that had done the trick, or just that the merchant was particularly charitable, but in either case, he was pleased.

"Fifteen arrows of each, it is."

Edward grabbed more arrows from the stack and added them to the quiver, filling each one to its capacity.

"That would be... 45 gold for the regular Bodkin tips and 75 gold for the ones of plynt. That comes to a total of 120 gold pieces, sir."

Jame smiled. That was a deal he could accept. Pleased with the price, he counted out one hundred and twenty five gold pieces and left them on the table. "A tip," he explained. He reached over for the quivers and prepared to leave.

A satisfied customer meant a happy customer. And that was all that Edward needed to make his day.

"Thank you, sir. Please come again."
