Sorry, sensical titles take too much work.

Okay, so . . . here's the plan:

Gabriel's looking for his daggers and he's going to find out that one of them has been sold to this insanely rich collector who lives in this huge mansion outside Knife's Edge. He's crazy obsessed with unique items and has huge collections of thousands of artifacts, each which has some story or distinguishing feature that makes it priceless. Gabriel wants his dagger, BUT this guy's got security galore: magicians with mad killing skills, highly trained soldiers (NOT your average club-swinging thug), sneaky little poisonous pets with eyes coming out of every orifice . . . basically a thief's worse nightmare.

What I need is a team of people who would be willing to help infiltrate this guy's mansions from multiple angles and approaches. I'm thinking subterfuge, ingenuity, and chicanery; Ocean's Eleven versus Gone in Sixty Seconds. We'll be tricking, conniving, scouting, sneaking, eventually stealing . . . blah blah blah, it'll be a blast.

I don't know how many people would be too many, but if any interested veterans want to give me some idea on how big of a team is too big, I'd appreciate it. Ideally, participants will be assembled with separate goals in mind, maybe a weapon they've heard of or something that was stolen from them that they want to retrieve. We can work out the particulars in another thread, but post here if you're interested.

Again, it's happening in Salvar, don't be angry if you don't get picked, and characters of all levels are welcome because it is our SKILLZ that will make the difference, not how hard we can hit someone with a mallet. Please don't apply if you're not going to stick around to see it through.

Oh, and just to let you know in advance, I reserve the right to bunnykill anyone who disappears for an unexplained and overly extended period of time. But don't worry, I promise to slaughter you creatively.

This sounds really interesting. I haven't been in a non-epic quest yet. It would be interesting to see how Melancor deals with it. And since he does water alchemy, there is a wide range of possibilities to what he can do.

I show my interest. Don't really mind if I don't get picked. Look over my profile and most important of all, you may want to check my quests to see if I'd bee a satisfactory addition.

You had me at subterfuge...

But yeah, all bad Jerry Maguire parodies aside, I'm interested in this. I promise not to give you a reason to kill me off, I happen to have an item I'd like Teric to acquire in mind, and I don't see why you couldn't give the old bugger a trim and a nice suit to pass him off as a like-minded collector.

Get inside, ask questions, and create diversions and all that whatnot.

Speaking on the items. (Bloodrose's post reminded me) Melancor is currently looking for some specific items too. rings, besically that unlock flying serpent familiars (which happen to be his sisters) I am not fond of making the guy actually have one of these, as they are very.. very... very... religious artifacts. Melancor would have his reasons for checking this guy's stock.

You bums!

By "you" I mean everybody who read this thread without becoming immediately entranced by the beauty of this concoction. Come on, slackers, don't be afraid by a plot that doesn't involve tavern brawls or zombie ambushes!

Everybody else gets a pat on the back.

Yeah well fuck you too, buddy.

Gee, Godhand, thanks for scaring off potential recruits. You should know what kind of effect your face has on a crowd of impressionable RPers.
