Basic Information

Name: Gray Lepus
Age: 25
Race: Human
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Occupation: Accountant, occultist.

Personality
Gray comes off as somewhat meek and reserved in his manner, and seems to suffer from low self confidence. Though rather simple to push around and intimidate, Gray harbors a festering hate and rage that manifests as a storm in times to himself in private. He hates his clients, his wife, his son. It has been building for years now, and it has escalated to the point where he would kill almost anyone without batting an eye.

Gray suffers both from insomnia and bipolar disorder, and smokes often as a way of leveling out episodes of the latter.

Appearance
Gray maintains a neat and professional appearance due to his position. The man is consistently well shaven, and keeps his lengthy hair combed back, though it has a tendency of falling down the sides of his face if untended or rising on the crown in an attempt to form bangs. For close reading, he wears a pair of silver framed glasses, and will occasionally continue to wear them after they are no longer needed, for he thinks they make him look clever. His attire changes little from black slacks, white shirt, black tie, vest, and coat.

History
Grey Lepus's father was considered a great man. An adventurer by trade, Gray's father was an officer in the Tel Aglarim, Raiaera's armed forces, and it was during a typical restocking trip out to the Bazaar that he met Gray's mother. She was a daring merchant who went to ends very few others of the trade would have thought of. Instead of waiting for the artifacts and goods to come to here, she dove into ruins and jungles in search of rare items, and her reputations and stock made her rich. The two settled for a few brief years to have a single child, a son they named Gray. His father was called back into Raiaera when undead activity surged into a sure threat in Eluriand. When he was three, Gray's father had been killed in action.

Bravery and charisma were apparently not hereditary in the child's case. Though Gray had inherited his father's good looks, he was a meek child and easily bullied. The boy often suffered the barbs of cruel children, and after a few years in public school, his mother pulled him out and began to educate him on her own. As it turned out, the boy was gifted in mathematics and when he reached adolescence, his mother pulled some strings and got him into an apprenticeship in an accountant's firm. At eighteen, he began to date a girl he'd met in a blacksmith's forge and soon after married. They had a single son. The woman that had become his wife was pushy and loved to boss Gray about. She took his inheritance and began to blow it on stupid, superficial things. She refused to cook for herself. Likewise, their son became spoiled and fat, and had no respect for Gray.

Slowly but surely, the accountant came to hate his life.

One evening though, as he was going through some of the things his father had collected during his quests, Gray found something. A sheaf of yellowed, tattered papers covered in flowing shorthand. The information on these papers were secrets of the world, secrets of things that should not have been of the world. They told Gray about things that had never been whispered in rumor for the simple fact that they made a man bleed cold sweat and turn ghostly white. His father had meant to burn them. Gray memorized.

Things lately had been looking rather bleak, too. Despite attempts at divorce, his wife kept a firm hold on his balls. His son may as well have run the house. And his colleagues at work were slowly killing him by pushing off their work onto him.

But that's all right. Because Gray just bought himself a knife.

A long, sharp knife.

Skills

A Sharp Mind: Gray is skilled in mathematics. Additionally, he has an eidetic memory, and has memorized every single word of the dark secrets of the papers his father had meant to destroy. Though they are nothing but knowledge, and can harm no one by themselves, anyone can tell you that knowledge can be a deadly, dangerous thing.

Equipment
Gray owns a long, curved, double edged steel knife.

By the powers vested in me by the administrators of Althanas, you are hereby approved.
