Name: Hildegarde von Braun
Age: 23
Race: Human
Hair Color: Blonde, cut short
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 6' even
Weight: 180 pounds
Occupation: Foot Sergeant (In the medieval sense- a fighting man[woman, in this case] that was neither part of a peasant levy or the knighthood)

Appearance: Hildegarde in neither a jolly peasent woman nor the refined creatures one might see in the courts of nobles and kings. She bears all of the marks of the rough and tumble life of the common soldier, most notably an inability to keep her pretty face entirely clean, whether it be a little dirt here and there, or a few flecks of rust from a bad helmet that may or may not have been looted from someone or something else to replace one that she'd lost. On those rare occasions where she isn't fully encased in steel, one can get a much better sense of the woman's figure. This one is big and fit, maininting a feminine shape while being obvously hrdened by her profession, carrying muscles on her arms and legs that some would consider quite unwomanly.

Personality- Hildegarde tends not to suffer fools. She's gruff, not particularly mild-mannered, and not prone to wax poetic. She goes have good days, however, and on those she's quite open and jovial. She also has a sense of "gallows humor" that some might find just a little distasteful.

Skills:

Fighting soldier: Put a melee weapon in her hands, and she can fight with it- At least the classic medieval ones. Any soldier and knight could do no less- overspecialization in fancy swordsmanship is useless foppery when you need to open up a steel shell with something sharp and/or heavy.

Forced march: When you go everywhere carrying the means of your livelihood on your back, you know how to go the distance. Her endurance is certainly near the upper end of what humans are cpapble of, though this is largely common to practicing career soldiers.

Equipment:

Weapons- She knows how to use more than one, and she caries more than one- Though if her employes want a pikeman, they'd better give it to her themselves, 'cause she's not going to carry one everywhere. As for what she does carry, her preferred weapon for the "dirty work" is a four foot long footman's axe(Above Average), the wooden handle reinforced with riveted steel bands extending down the sides. On one side of her hip, she has a simple arming sword(Below Average) for more delicate work, and on her other, she has an iron mace(Average), for even less.

Armor: Mail, with plate harness and whatever helmet she can get- While not at the cutting edge of armor technology, this suit of second-hand Platemaille has seen her though moare scrapes than she'd care to recall, turning what could be severed limbs and mortal wounds into mere bruises and broken bones. It was re-fitted for her personal use. Hildegarde also sometimes carries a shield, though those tend to get broken/rent unusuable more often than she'd like.

History: There are occasionally times when Hildegarde doubts her choice doing what is is generally considered "a man's work", but she then reminds herself that it was her own fault for sitting around in the muck in the first place, and that she'd see it through to the end, one way or another.

Hildegarde, while technically a commonor, is actually something of a merchant's daughter- the usual life cycle of such a creature usually means being groomed for marriage to some other wealthy family, waering uncomfortable dresses and going to parties where they can engage in whatever wanton pastime they please, because their parents know someone who knows someone in the watch. Hildearde, in an uncharacteristic departure from this circle of property, decided that she didn't enjoy the high life (which now she occasionally characterizes as a bout of insanity), and decided that she wanted to be part of the local army for a few years. her father had enough money to ensure that the local armsmaster would be willing to turn a blind eye to that she was, in fact, a relatively upper-class woman.

She got better training than the common peasant, at least, in part due to the family influence, and in part because she wasn't part of some levy mustered up at the last minute to march to who knows where. She was classed as a sergeant, due not only to her staus above the regular serf, but also because of the training and equipment that she could afford.

For most of the time, her term in the army was relatively peaceful- Mainly marching, traininging, foraging, repairing the occasional village palisade and remote fort. It was a rough, but simple life, built around hard, honest work. She did, however, get her own taste of combat against brigands during this time, however- A tax collector and his retinue were killed and looted by a group of brigands, so the troop she was a part of was sent to "put downe the snarlynge curs". The bandits had expected knights- The one that was with the troop got killed by a crossbow trap just outside the bandits' makeshift stronghold, and it soon degenerated into a desparate melee. There is something to be said for human preservation, however- Hildegarde can't relate exactly how they won, but it may have had something to do with the fact that losing almost certainly meant death. Their own superior equipment may have helped, too.

After mustering herself out and paying for her equipment, she decided then, to go on the road, selling her arms to whoever would pay a good rate for her protection- She's fought on the winning side, the losing side, and occasionally, only on her own, personal side. Can't make money if you're dead.

Fighting Soldier canot stay the way it is. To say she has a basic understanding of most melee weapons is fine, as pretty much anyone who's fought with a melee weapon does. But you have her listed with three separate weapons and no skill listings for them.

You may pick one to be Above Average, opne Average and one Below Average. Or you can try a different combination if you would like, two Average one Below Average, just remember that at level zero, she can't be extremely skilled with them.
