I figured it was about time I dropped my obligatory I'm here thread. Not that it means much to most of you I am sure since I am an unknown here obviously. So let me introduce myself.

My name is Ryan but you don't have to call me that. Some things that I am called and will answer too are Ryan, Mathew, Endrin, Jimothy, and Akuma. Take your pick. Yes all of them other then Ryan would be past RP characters of mine from various sites on the net. Mostly based on a Xin theme. If you don't know what Xin is then here is a brief idea. Basically it takes place in a time that is undetermined but pretty much our own time. Society has pretty much gone on a downward spiral and this is shown in the school systems where corporal punishment is reinstated and students can no longer be expelled or suspended. Due to the dangerous nature of the youth in these times teachers are highly skilled in ass kicking and can hospitalize a student for little to no reason. That is until the students rebel and take down the system. That is a basic overview of it. If you find yourself interested in Xin I am more then happy to show you the flash series and even the RP sites for it. Though I am currently no longer RPing on any of them.

I have around 3 or so years of Forum RP and another 4 or so with D&D and to a degree Shadowrun. I like to consider myself a skilled RPer though I do realize that I have a lot to learn still as I am far from the best I could be. Partly because I can get lazy and distracted. I have played both good and bad guys in my rping life everything from the lawful good hero that died saving someone he didn't know without a second thought. I have also played the manipulative bad guy that pulled the strings on both the good guys and the bad guys and could kick the asses of anyone that tried to stop him. I like to add tragic twists to my heros and redeeming qualities to my villians.

As for my current character, I am not sure if I would place him as a good or bad guy since I left him open ended enough to decide that with how my threads turn out.

All in all I am very excited to be a part of this site and I do hope for a chance to RP with a good many of you. I think I have rambled enough though and I am going to shut up now before this becomes a novel. =P

Hmmm... Well I am looking at the world map and considering that my guy wouldn't have a lot of funds I suppose the Promenade would make the most geographical sense since it is the next big city from his starting point. Sorry for the pointless question I suppose but I do like to know what my limits are. ^_^

That is true, I have always just been used to having fluid time in small setting boards. (for ones that the whole board is in a city such as New York) and set times for boards with several cities/countries. I shall try to adapt. In the meantime I should find an appropriate/active location for my first thread. =D

If you need some players for your thread, you can always post with being 'Open', but you'll get a better response if you post a recruitment thread in The Flying Stone Tavern. And don't feel scared to ask something, even if it may be pointless. Althanas can be intimidating to newbies since it is rather large.

You write cute, but I don't like bolded dialogue. It makes me think they're all talking really loudly. It's like when people do dialogue in different colors and everybody seems to be a differently kind of fairy. A matter of personal preference, I suppose.

But hey let's do a thread! I don't know how compatible our characters are. My guy on this profile is a powerful mage who doesn't mind killing and loved to hunt (and consequently steal) relics. He doesn't get along with too many people.

I do have some lower-level folks, though, and I've been pretty interested in making a new character to fulfill some cravings for magic that I've had. What kind of quest are you interested in? Simple stuff for now?
