My name is Ingwe, although I am also known as John, Johann, "the Japanese boy with the glasses", and variations thereof. No matter what you call me, however, I am pleased to make your acquaintance ^^.

I come to Althanas seeking fantasy, adventure, fun, and a way to improve my role-playing and writing skills whilst indulging the above. From what I have seen and read, I doubt that I shall be disappointed... I look forward to contributing my two pence (and hopefully a bit more, even) to the site.

Incidentally, Plink is here as well and I know Jules was taking a look around earlier with the notion of playing a bona fide Anti-Drizzt. We'll see how that turns out. Don't worry though; people here are (generally) nicer than in other places, and they don't harpoon/kill/maim the newbies or anything. Once you get past the initial registration and your first thread or three, it's pretty fun.

Aye, I'm sure I'm new here ^^. The board name's more of a whim than anything meaningful; the titan Hyperion, the father of the sun, moon, and stars (and besides, it sounds cool!), and "Flames of" referring to the phoenix.
