Elgar couldn’t help notice that his canteen of water was empty. He and his wolf Tala knew that if they don’t get any water soon, they were going to die in the Brokenthorn Forest. The forest contained a field of yew trees, and the flowing river bank was not too far from Elgar and Tala. They were too far away to get to Olme or Uthia in a day, and it was getting dark. Without a full moon to guide them they knew to expect the worse that can happen in the forest: dying of thirst or worse, being devoured by a giant spider. This situation keeps getting worse and worse, Elgar thought to himself. The best thing to do now is to build a fire.
