Seeking Companions

[Flames of Hyperion]

Hello, all.

I'm thinking of starting a small quest in Scara Brae, which would see Ingwe and possibly one or two other adventurers journey to the foot of the Mountain-Tear Falls to see a man known only as the Dragon Hermit. The Dragon Hermit is rumoured to be the human representative of the dragon on Windlacer Peak, and is said to be able to answer and advise upon any question put to him. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, but Ingwe has deemed it worthy enough to check out.

I'm envisioning the quest beginning with the rumour spreading through a tavern in Scara Brae, and a few hardy adventurers seeing fit to band together to determine the truth. Feel free to give your character any reason you see fit for joining, of course ^^.

Of course, things probably won't go that easily... I have a few ideas to spice things up... mostly involving goblins, refugees, and a dead-end valley...

I'd appreciate it if you could post relatively frequently (and allow others to "bunny" your character if you can't for some reason or another - nothing major without express consent, of course!).

Well, provided my character is approved of course, it sounds interesting. Liquid is probably going to be lying low in the taverns for a while after first arriving, building up a bankroll and friends network. If there's monetary value to be had or powerful friends to be made, she'd gladly go along.

I'm thinking of a two-part quest, the first a prologue (introduction) of sorts, the second the quest proper. Hopefully it meets with your approval.

Well, I'm slightly humbled by the interest the quest has drawn... thank you all ^^.

As a note, I'll try to maintain a constant post rate of twice a week (probably Monday and Friday) to advance the story; feel free to post around, over, or above me as you wish. If for any reason you can't post before I do and want your character to do something, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll see what I can do ^^.

Since Liquid and Fean have yet to reply, I'm just going to make an exit post and give it another week or so before I submit the thread. Hopefully either or both will let me know what they'd like to do; once they've contacted me, I'll start another thread for the quest proper.

Again, I'll give Liquid and Fean about a week to post, then if they haven't by then we'll move on without them. I'll try to leave it open-ended enough that they can re-enter should they wish, but I think I've delayed long enough.
