Name: Axenemak
Age: 1,439
Race: Demon
Hair Color: Rusty red
Eye Color: Orange
Height: 9'0
Weight: 1,175 lbs.
Occupation: Engineer
Personality: While often gruff and meticulous, Axenemak, since his incomplete summoning, has become more and more seized by bouts of lighthearted eccentricity and friendliness. His former temper seems to disappear during these bouts, but often returns with a vengeance without warning...though this vengeance is often just Axen roaring his head off. That's right...he's a pacifist...somewhat, at least. (The exceptions are 1) when struck first and 2) when interrupted while working)
Appearance: Depicted in only one illustration, most could ponder over what Axenemak would actually look like. Is the Demon really the bull-headed hulk with a hammer and apron displayed by a sketch on the inside cover of "Infernal Machines; A guide to"? Is he really covered in bristly fur? Does he really have hooves that could crush horses? Does he really have four arms?
Well, to the few who've bothered to summon the mostly unknown Demon Engineer, the answer would be yes. To all of those questions.
However, for the minor details that are often overlooked;
Only his back, shoulders, arms, waist, thighs, and legs have fur. The rest is covered in thick copper colored scales, showing dark brown skin only at the base of his throat.
He has hair separate from his fur. It is black and grows in large, tangled locks that reach nearly to his shoulders.
Only two of his arms are real.
He is not depicted with the ivory spikes that extend two feet off of his elbows. (natural arms only)
History:
Quite often removed from the affairs that aren't his own, Axenemak spent years upon years forging new machine after new machine...creating an uneventful cycle of reinventing, destroying, and rebuilding. This pattern continued until the completion of a particularly interesting device that was unstable; but could not be destroyed. The device its self and what went wrong are unimportant, but the resulting explosion and events are quite important.
After an explosion of tremendous proportions, Axenemak found himself face down in a large patch of grass missing large patches of hair and a large portion of his tools. Wandering the mountains he was stranded in, Axen began to gather materials to make a duplicate of the device that sent him here. Perhaps not the best idea...but one that did indeed work.
After another large explosion he found himself home. Without his tools and without the number of texts he was carrying at the time of the first explosion. Large chunks of his lore lost to some unknown plane, he began the laborious task of rewriting thirty seven books simply from memory. Among the lost tomes was a book simply entitled "Infernal Machines; a guide to".
Years and years passed, with Axen's regular cycle continuing (explosion free...). Until he felt a pull...and his workshop vanished.
He found himself in a stone circle, a pile of metal ore, and a severed set of human hands at his feet; and a jabbering fool in a fancy robe in front of him spouting something about summoning the "wrong familiar" and that "this would do anyway...for what he had in mind" the man just kept talking to himself, completely ignoring the infuriated Engineer standing in the stone circle. His book lay open at the fool's feet.
Without much hesitation he brought his mallet down on the fool's head, creating quite a large pile of gore when he decided to repeat the process until satisfied.
Since his accidental summoning, Axen has been an inhabitant of the Windlancer mountains...and has been working on a way back home on-and-off...but had recently become more and more distracted, and found himself farther wandering away from his new makeshift workshop with each passing day. It seems a side-effect of all this was the slow repression of his memory and skills.
Skills:
Mold Material: Axen can take force unused minerals and ores into nearly any shape. This requires him to have a grasp on the material for at least five minutes. The shape must be appropriate to the quantity or size of the material or materials used, and can be used on most common metals softer than steel.
Build Simple Machine: Recalling the most basic recipes of his calling, Axen can build simple machines (small explosives and the like)...provided he has the correct materials.
Items//Gear:
Mechanical Armsx2: Mounted behind the actual shoulders, these heavy-iron arms are much longer than Axen's normal arms, and are generally much stronger. However, since their control is linked directly to his mind...their uses have been severely limited since his summoning...and now are used mainly to either grasp or club something. (The speed for clubbing is pretty slow...but still could be troublesome if faced both at once.)
Huge Mallet: A four foot long wooden mallet with three steel bands around the head. Weighs somewhere around eighty to ninety pounds.
Huge Blacksmith's Apron: As stated...a huge, heavy, apron. Not much for defense in the back...but can at least cushion some hits on the front. It reaches just under Axen's knees.
(Hehe, sorry if it's not great. A little tired at the moment.
Tell me if there's any problems...or if you want something clarified.
Sure I didn't have to tell anyone that...but still. ^_^)
