Adventwings please.

"Wheeeeeeeeee!" Crystal yelled out in excitement. She was feeling a bit hyperactive as she flew full-speed through the Bazaar.

Crystal was in the bazaar for one reason and one reason only, she needed clothes. Sure, she had a few clothes, but none of them were well made. She wasn't surprised to realize that though weapons shops and armor shops were all over, clothing stores were a lot more difficult to spot, but eventually she found one with it's door propped open.

Crystal flew in, finally slowing down to a stop on some fabric that sat on the counter.

"Anyone here?" Crystal yelled out jumping down to sit on the counter of the shop known as 'The Silver Spool'

"Eya!"

Millie literally jumped out from her skin when the tiny fae popped in front of her, almost dropping the box of silk threads she was holding. The seamstress was just walking out from the storage room with some materials to replenish her stock.

"Uh, hi!" The shop owner pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose, trying to focus on the ever-fidgety customer. "How may I help you?"

"I'm looking to get some new clothes. As far as what I'm looking for, would it be possible to make a shirt that works around my wings a bit better? My current shirts are a bit... uncomfortable." Crystal said, taking her shirt off. To any onlookers, she was sure it even looked uncomfortable. It was uncomfortabl to the point of looking as if it would partially bend her wings as she took it off.

"Also, I'm looking to have it made out of a cheap lightweight fabric, if at all possible." Crystal added after a bit of thought. She also wanted a dress, but she'd need to see how much the shirt cost first.

Don't worry, she is wearing a bra

Millie had never received such a difficult request. While the seamstress had years of experience crafting clothes, they were all of people about her size. Human-size, at least. Her stitches, while considered quite fine for the average diplomat, would quite possibly be too large and uncomfortable for someone so small.

...Well, if I think of it as making clothes for a doll... She cupped her mouth as she thought. I guess that might work...

"Alright, I think I can help you with that. However, I'll need a few days to find a good design so the shirt doesn't hurt your wings. Off the top of my head..."

Millie glanced over her shoulders, mentally looking into her stock of cloths in the workroom. There were several types of clothes she could use, though some of the material would be considered too cumbersome for such a small figure.

"...the material you're looking for is silk, although it's hardly cheap. Judging from the amount needed, however, I don't think it'll cost you more than fifty gold for a shirt. You could go with cotton and that'll only be fifteen pieces, but the texture might be a bit too rough for you."

Millie tried her best to come up with a solution for the tiny girl. The material cost was not going to be a problem. The skill going into it was the problem.

"Silk sounds good. I don't mind spending a bit extra for comfort. I don't suppose you'd be able to do a dress too. I imagine it should be easier since you don't have to work around anything." Crystal stated.

Well, I supposed a dress of sort wouldn't be too hard...

The seamstress pressed her glasses up the bridge of her nose as she moved her face closer to the fairy. Judging from her size, the material cost would be negligible - she could even use some of the leftover fabric from her previous jobs for the material.

"Well, sure. If you want a dress, I'll charge you another fifty for labor cost. Assuming you want both items in silk, it'll cost you a hundred gold pieces total. Sounds good for you?"

Millie reached into her front pockets and pulled out a strip of ribbon, the length of fabric bearing a string of numbers upon both face.

"And if you're good, I'll take your measurements now."

"That is an acceptable price to me. It isn't easy lugging around all this money, you know." Crystal said, placing her bag of 120 gold on the table.

"Probably best you count out the gold though. It might take me a while." She added.

After a bit, of thinking, Crystal realized she couldn't remember having her measurements taken before.

"So, miss... You know, I didn't catch your name. Where would the best place to do measurements be?" She asked looking up at the shopkeeper.

(( Sorry for the long wait. I had problems with the Internet ^_^; ))

Blinking as the question hit her, the storekeeper glanced around the room as if wondering what the little fairy was talking about.

"Oh, about that." Millie grinned light-heartedly. "We can just do it here. You don't need to take anything off. At least I don't think you'll need to."

Her eyes momentarily swept across the shop window to see if there were any peeping toms in the streets. Lucky for her, no one was paying attention.

((You can bunny Millie taking your measurements. ^_^))

I've seen things done this way before and it seemed much more appropriate than using a tape measure

Crystal stood perfectly still as Millie pulled out a piece of string, a ruler, and a marker. She measured Crystal's height from waist to neck first, and wrote a number down on a notebook she produced from on the desk. The next measurements she felt the need to explain to Crystal.

"Normally, I'd use a tape measure for all the measurements, but because of your size, I'm going to have to do things a bit differently. As for your wings, I figure that instead of having two seperate holes in the back of your shirt for them to poke out of individually, like you had previously, I'll make one hole in the back of the shirt, big enough let your wings fit inside easily without bending them and allow for extra breathing room. Of course, in order to do that,I'll need to measure your wings at the widest point." Millie quickly explained before wrapping the string around Crystal's waist and marked off where the two ends of the string overlapped with a marker.

Crystal continued to stand perfectly still as Millie made a few other measurements this way, each time, using the ruler to measure how far in the marking was and writing it down in her notes. All the measurements seemed to be going perfectly well until Millie asked Crystal for her Wingspan.

Crystal looked a bit confused as she spread her wings to thier fullest extent.

"No, that's not what I meant. I need your... armspan, I guess." Millie said, realizing her choice of words wasn't exactly the greatest.

"Oh... Why'd you ask for my wingspan, then?" Crystal asked, spreading her arms out for the final measurement.

I suddenly feel like I overbunnied Millie. Let me know if you want me to change anything.

((Nah, it's fine.))

"Alright, that should do it."

Millie wiped a bead of sweat from her head as she took down the last of the measurements. Judging from the dimensions she noted into her small book, the seamstress had no doubt in her mind that the real challenge was not going to be the materials needed.

"I should have this ready in two days. You can pick it up then and we'll get to the finer details then."

Well, there goes my afternoon nap.

Crystal flew out the door at top speed, Excited because the tailor was actually going to make her some clothing. A task which she was sure would seem quite difficult.

-----
two days later
-----

Crystal flew at full speed again. The rush of flying through the air at max velocity never got old to her. Today presented itself with a problem, though. Thedoor wasn't propped open, so Crystal had no way of getting inside. She had no idea how to make the sound of her knocks heard. There was one way she could think of to get the clerk's attention, though. Crystal flew towards the door and was about to make like a bird on a windshield before thinking better of it, but her momentum was too great at that point, Although Crystal managed to keep herself from getting too roughed up with her one defensive spell, it didn't stop her from hitting the door with a thud.

"...Huh?"

The air hung in strange silence as Millie looked up from a set of figurines standing on the counter, which had been the object of her attention since working on them last night. Looking around the deserted shop over the top of her ebony-rimmed glasses, the leather worker scanned the area looking for the source of the sound which had seemed to echo within her shop just a few seconds before.

"Hmm... I swore I heard something..." She frowned and returned to setting the cloths of silk onto the tiny wooden mannequins when she suddenly spotted the tiny form of her customer at the door.

...Or to be more precise, stuck to the door.

"Oh, no!" Millie bolted from her chair, tripping over her own legs halfway to the front door and finally managed to get it opened so the little fairy could fly in. "I'm sorry! I forgot to leave the door open! Are you alright?"

Crystal Suncrest

"Been better. Starting to think I should have slept in the shop. So, you got my clothes ready?" Crystal said, still recovering from her collision with the door. Hey, Are those them?" Crystal flew over to the dolls. Her wings were fine' but the dizzyness from her collision still made her fly as though she was drunk.

"Wow, I never thought you'd do this good of a job. I will probably come to you again some time.... As long as you keep your door open, that is. (Owie.) While I was waiting, I counted out exactly 100 gold, so I wouldn't have to take an hour doing so in the store. Being tiny definately has it's disadvantages, but enough about me. This mone bag is getting a bit heavy. Mind grabbing it from me?"

Nodding her head in reply, the leatherworker-turned-seamstress reached for the bag of gold the tiny girl had mentioned and counted out the coins inside. Exactly one hundred of them all together.

"OK, I guess that's about it." She smiled at the winged customer, placing the bag on top of the counter while the fairy was still admiring the silk garments resting on tiny cedarwood mannequins.

"Would you like me to put them in a bag for you?" She reached under the counter and produced a pair of minature paper bags, appearing more like folded paper than an actual container to carry stuff in. However, for something of Crystal's size, they would be more than sufficient.

"And if you need anything else with regards to clothes, you are always welcomed to come to my store."

Crystal Suncrest

"I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Do you have a changing room I can use? I don't want to have to wear my old clothes any longer than I have to. I'm sure you understand." Crystal asked as she picked up her clothes.

Crystal Didn't wait for an answer, as she flew behind a clothing rack, changed into her new clothes, and put her old clothes in the tiny bag.

"Thanks again" Crystal said flying out of the shop. She was finally comfortable.

Millie was about to point to a row of clothes near the backdoor she could use as a makeshift changing room, considering the ones she had would probably be too hard for the tiny fairy to use. But seeing her customer satisfied with her work, the seamstress was happy as well.

"Thank you, come again!" She called out after the customer, closing the shop's door as Crystal flew out of sight.
