((This is ready for judging! And yes, this is MoonRunner's alt.))

Name: Conlaed "Lee" Aolus*
Gender: Male
Age: 11
Race: Gaeling - similar to Draconians, but not**
Appearance:
Like any Gaeling, at first glance, he appears to be human. But there are slight differences that are considered the norm among Gaelings. These are oddly colored eyes, elongated canines, and dragon wings.
Having yet to come into his own when it comes to looks, Lee is a clumsy looking boy: lanky, knobbly, and just slightly off balance. He is about 5'3" and growing like a weed. Moreover, if his elder brothers are any hint, he is sure to grow into a dashing and strong young man. He has a full head of wavy and unruly brick-red hair that is kept slightly on the long side to where it has about two inches before it brushes his shoulders. His brilliant copper-gold eyes are usually full of mirth, which is understandable since he's probably thinking of a practical joke that he has pulled or is about to spring on someone.
His ears are starting to show the gently pointed tip that is standard among Gaelings. And since not all of his baby teeth have been replaced, he has one missing canine, one canine that looks like any other human child's, and two that are the slightly elongated canines that are also standard among the adult Gaelings (one on the left side on his upper jaw, the other on the bottom right). And his copper colored wings have developed enough to where he can remove them from their unnoticeable pouch on his back, but they have not developed enough to where he can fly.
Personality:
In a word? Stubborn. He's always pushing the limit, which means he's always in some sort of trouble (which can range from a broken limb, a nauseous stomach, or sore bottom). Lee is a mischievous soul and loves to poke fun at people, but it's all done in a good natured way. Lee is also the quiet one compared to his five brothers, while he often will burst out with a laugh at their antics. He's mostly full of bravado, but one can see the makings of a great, courageous man within him. Just a couple years ago, he started to forget that there ever was such a thing as cooties and is now extremely awkward and shy around girls, but every now and then he shows that he will be quite the ladies man when he gets over that shyness.
History:
Lee was born during the end of Charlemagne's reign on Earth and was about five when the Emperor died, when the tensions started to mount. The uneducated populous was made paranoid by raiding, power-hungry land-lords, and the more radical followers of Jesus that had control of the Church. A split started to form between those who were born of Magic and those who were not. Even those who happened to be born to a race besides Charlemagne's without a magical gift were soon shunned. Some even said that his death had been caused by a curse.
Because of all of this, his family clan - among others - left northern Gaul and settled in the most northern and rocky area of Britain. There a free Fire Gaeling nation thrived: bickering with the neighboring Ice Gaeling nation, living among Dragons, and studying various forms of dance***.
At the age of six, Lee's training began. As any young-ling his age, he was taught the basics of meditation, balance, staff fighting, and single dancing (jigs and the like). At the age of ten, he was earned the right to have his first choice ceremony or the Scothamsha (where a Gaeling chooses his preferred weapon; there can be up to three of these in a Gaeling's lifetime); that is when he chose the sword and was immediately entered into vigorous training for that.
Just a couple days after choosing the sword, the saber in particular, Lee came across an abandoned Imperial Dragon hatchling. The little thing, or Cael as Lee came to call him, must have been born to a large laying, where the mother was drawn thin trying to care for her young, and was lost in the bustle. Upon meeting, the two unintentionally created a bond between them. And, when he brought his new-found friend home, Lee was soundly scolded: he was much too young to have bound himself to a Dragon. But the bond was unbreakable, and people were forced to get used to such a young Dragon and such a young child as bond-brothers (or Fain-thairi).
Not too long after his eleventh birthday, Lee was out trying to practice flying (against his parent's and trainer's wishes). Thinking that it would be easier to glide, he dove off a short cliff and caught some air in his wings, which kept him somewhat aloft. However, as soon as he tried to flap his wings, they gave out and he tumbled straight into a Fae-mound and into a strange world. There were still mountains about, but all of the sudden he couldn't hear the bustle from his cliff-side home town, and he couldn't feel Cael. He was to later find out that he had left Earth completely and fallen into Althanas, leaving Cael behind. The separation from his Fain-thair hurt him emotionally and physically. His head and chest actually hurt, and it wasn't from the minor fall. Actually, because of that and what was happening, he had little time to miss his family.
Skills:
Lee is well above average in his skills as a swordsman, though he has a while to go before his kind would call him a Sword Master. His balance is twice that of a normal human. He can only glide for short distances due to the fact that his wings are still maturing. And because of his youth and lack of control, his inner fire was bound until his control makes the fire strong enough to break the bond. So, all he is currently able to do is create a small fire ball in the palm of his hand, which can leave second degree burns and light a large room like a lantern. He has a knack with Dragons and similar creatures, but he cannot communicate with them as he can with Cale. When Cael is within one hundred yards of him, they can communicate telepathically. His charm is about 1.5 times greater than that of a normal human as well.
Possessions:
Lee didn't have much on him when he fell onto Althanas. All he had was his wool kilt, iron saber, leather and bronze sheath, a small bronze dirk, a leather belt, a balm for minor skin wounds, a sporran, some food supplies, leather boots, and a pouch of precious stones that he had found (worth 200 gold in Althanas).
Familiar:
Name: Cael
Gender: Male
Age: 1 year
Personality: Carefree, rash, and quirky to sum it up.
Appearance: Cael is about two feet long now (and growing fast). His coloring has a copper and bronze marbled look. His eyes are fiery golden with thin black slits for pupils. He has a small crest of scales that turn out from his body about his head and two small spikes just behind that, one on either side of his head. Whenever on the ground, he carries himself like a cat. In the air, he is either graceful or a fast flash of color.

*Conlead Aolus is pronounced like Con(conman)-leed A-o(both are long)-lus(as in gus)).

**Gaeling: a race of humanity that is oft called Dragon People by the uneducated. This is a ruggedly beautiful race that is full of life and adventure. All of the adults have dragon wings that they can fly with and an inner element that is represented by the color of their hair and/or eyes. (If both the hair and eyes do represent the element, than once control of the element is reached the Gaeling would be considered a very powerful Elemental if Gaelings considered their inner elements to be a magic.) Both their ability to fly and ability to use their inner element begins to develop with puberty. There are two kinds of Gaelings: Fire and Ice Gaelings. They have been feuding for as long as history can remember. Their physical characteristics are similar to the Scots on Earth. They do have some cultural similarities with those brash Celts as well. They are also much less modest than other races of humanity and go by the saying: if I am not ashamed of it, why hide it? However, those who aren't ashamed of living in their birthday suits (the majority) will wear kilts in order to keep from embarrassing members of other races.
***Dancing to a Gaeling can mean anything from the waltz to wrestling. Any type of fighting is considered a dance; Gaelings cannot learn one art form without learning the other. And they learn both well; they're famous (or infamous) for their graceful and deadly skill.
