Stick it to you

Name: Woody
Age: 422 (10 months as a stick)
Race: Stick
Hair Color: None
Eye Color: Brown and wood-like
Height: 3’
Weight: 3 pounds
Occupation: Poking and whacking specialist
Appearance: Woody is brown and reasonably long for an average stick. He has a pointy end and a flat end, and a stubby knot ten inches from the flat end. He is still completely covered in thick bark, though, as he is a modest, self-respecting stick.
Personality: Woody is a humble and optimistic stick, always trying to look on the bright side of things. Sure, life as a stick is hard. He gets beat up and stepped on, but he knows that he’s destined for greatness. All he has to do is be the best stick he can be!
History: Woody was once a proud and noble branch, attached to the tallest tree in the whole Red Forest. The other branches envied him, for he could see further than any of them. But one day, poor Woody’s luck took a downward spiral. A giant bird, curse it, was flying recklessly through the treetops. It got hit by a strong gust of wind and flew headlong into Woody, breaking him from his high perch. His life as a happy branch was over, and his existence as a lowly stick began.
For the first several months of his demoted life, Woody rested on the forest floor. One day, however, he was caught in a large stampede of forest beasts, and ended up getting carried for several miles in the fur of a large feline creature. Then, a lone hiker who used poor Woody as a walking stick picked him up. For shame! This wasn’t the end of his humiliation, though. Eventually, he was cast aside by the hiker like a piece of trash and picked up by a lowly beggar in a small town somewhere, to be used to whack children with.
Equipment: A pointy end.
Abilities:
Poky: Woody’s pointy end can be used to poke enemies.
Super strong: Woody is no ordinary stick. He is at least as strong as iron.
Influence: Though he is inanimate, Woody can subtly influence his holder’s actions.
Familiar: Sir Rupert Waldenbrook, the beggar.
Rupert, as he calls himself, is the current holder of Woody. He’s rather insane and seems to think of himself as nobility, despite the fact that he drowns in his own filth. He uses woody as a trusty cane to walk with and to beat annoying children. Woody doesn’t like Rupert very much.
