While he was in town for the war, it seemed necessary to get some things upgraded. His old Brigandine had been through many a battle with him, and though still of above-average quality, it had once been excellent. And given the weaponry he was up against, he felt he needed something a bit stronger anyway.

So he was in the Bazaar, browsing armor stalls for good stuff. It hadn't taken him long, and he'd found what he wanted at a huge armor emporium. He had to wait in line for an eternity -- it seemed that everyone was in town to buy goods for the upcoming war. He studiously avoided making eye contact with anyone, as it was not the time to get into a brawl. But he did notice Letho Ravenheart in a stall near to where he was, and there were a few other faces he knew around there.

Finally, when he got to the front, he put all his goods on the table. From the walls of the store room, he had selected a mythril helmet with guards for the side of the face and an open front. In addition to this, he took off his steelscale brigandine vest and laid it on the table, unlacing his bracers to do the same as he spoke, "There you have it, shopkeep. The shirt of linked rings and the helmet seem to be of excellent quality, and I would like you to repair this brigandine to excellent quality as well, right now it seems only slightly above average -- while you're at it, please upgrade the steelscale rings to mythril and add sleeves to the vest. Please take these bracers," he laid them on the table, "and have delyn rings sewn into the interior, then add a cotton layer where it touches the skin for comfort. Make sure the work is excellent! How much would all this run me?"

Just to make it all plain:

Everything I'm buying is of "excellent" quality. Here's the list...

Mythril helmet as described
UPGRADE: Brigandine from above average to excellent, making the steel scale underneath mythril instead. Add sleeves.
UPGRADE: Two leather bracers, add delyn rings to the interior, and cotton layer inside for comfort.

Thanks!

This was a grand day for Sellings. He had already served the Marshall of Corone, and now, Findelfin ap Fingolfin had arrived. He wondered if the High Graf Schynius was next at the rate that things were going. He didn't know how he had managed to do it so quickly, but now it seemed that he was merchant to the stars.

Secretly thanking Dan Lagh'ratham for putting him on the map, Sellings recalled the prices for the things that Findelfin required. "Alright," he began. "That'll be 720 for the helmet, 1000 for the brigadine upgrade and 300 for the bracers."

Findelfin nodded. The prices weren't bargain-basement, but they were commensurate with the quality of things he had asked for.

"I assume you have the capability to get the brigandine and the bracers to my temporary quarters in Radasanth by the war." Findelfin said. "Here's where to send it."

Jotting down the address on a slip nearby, he pushed it towards Sellings, and produced 2 large Raiaeran Marks, each worth 1000 gold pieces, and 1 smaller mark worth 100 GP.

"Here you go...2100 GP. 80 GP over your quoted price...I assume that will cover the cost of getting the equipment to me as soon as it is ready."

"Certainly," Sellings said. This was something else he liked about these famous types, they always left tips because they were in such a hurry.

"I'll have it sent by a first class courrier," he added, though in truth, since Findelfin's home was not all that far, he would just send the next neighborhood child that wanted a piece of candy. It was the one way he ever got work out of the slum children.

"Then it's settled. Thank you sir."

And he was gone.

((No need to play out the end, it's just armor!))
