While he was in town for the war, it seemed necessary to get some things upgraded. His old Brigandine had been through many a battle with him, and though still of above-average quality, it had once been excellent. And given the weaponry he was up against, he felt he needed something a bit stronger anyway.
So he was in the Bazaar, browsing armor stalls for good stuff. It hadn't taken him long, and he'd found what he wanted at a huge armor emporium. He had to wait in line for an eternity -- it seemed that everyone was in town to buy goods for the upcoming war. He studiously avoided making eye contact with anyone, as it was not the time to get into a brawl. But he did notice Letho Ravenheart in a stall near to where he was, and there were a few other faces he knew around there.
Finally, when he got to the front, he put all his goods on the table. From the walls of the store room, he had selected a mythril helmet with guards for the side of the face and an open front. In addition to this, he took off his steelscale brigandine vest and laid it on the table, unlacing his bracers to do the same as he spoke, "There you have it, shopkeep. The shirt of linked rings and the helmet seem to be of excellent quality, and I would like you to repair this brigandine to excellent quality as well, right now it seems only slightly above average -- while you're at it, please upgrade the steelscale rings to mythril and add sleeves to the vest. Please take these bracers," he laid them on the table, "and have delyn rings sewn into the interior, then add a cotton layer where it touches the skin for comfort. Make sure the work is excellent! How much would all this run me?"
Just to make it all plain:
Everything I'm buying is of "excellent" quality. Here's the list...
Mythril helmet as described
UPGRADE: Brigandine from above average to excellent, making the steel scale underneath mythril instead. Add sleeves.
UPGRADE: Two leather bracers, add delyn rings to the interior, and cotton layer inside for comfort.
Thanks!
