View Full Version : Dark and Light Intertwine - Secrets in the Night
Dry, her throat always felt dry in those first few moments of consciousness. The joints in her fingers popped as she flexed them and every muscle was stiff like a cramp. A few short moments was all it took to loosen her body of the death of day. With a gentle motion she pressed against the lid of her bed, the light of a torch poured in from the slowly growing crack.
As she righted herself into a sitting position her eyes met with those of her familiar. Winter always had a smile on her face every evening while she waited for her mistress.
With a groan Tera stretched and rolled her shoulders before stepping out onto the lush fur rug. Her bare form shone in the torchlight as Winter quickly approached, handing over the appropriate article of clothing as it was needed. With that done, Winter continued her duties of closing her mistress's coffin, the perfect black and silver box had been crafted for one of many rich moguls of Corone, but for all intents and purposes, Tera got whatever she wanted.
With that in the back of her mind she turned, watching Winter arrange some things for the next day before pouring the vampire a glass of wine.
“Thank you, “ Tera said with a smile as she took the glass in hand, her other maneuvering behind her familiar's lower back before pulling her tightly to her.
Winter watched her mistress silently with her concrete blue eyes before the vampress made a move. Their lips touched softly in their deathly coldness, making the other feel pangs of warmth and life. Tongues searched within the others mouth as hands wandered.
Moments passed before they broke from each others embrace. Had they been mortals they would have been left breathless from such a kiss. But as it was, neither needed such granted things.
“I have ensured that the usual path will be clear for you Mistress.” Winter said with a dreamy afterglow look in her eyes.
“Thank you love,” she replied with a smile as she walked up the short stairway connecting her hidden chambers to a short network of passages that had been designed in, but left unused. She stepped forth from this into her study from behind a perfectly hidden door.
Without hesitation she entered the hallways, scanning them for any living soul before stealing away to the open window at the end of the hall. With another glance for anyone outside she leaped softly over the wall of the Dirk's estate, having little trouble landing on the soft loam.

Grass felt different under the light of the moon.
She didn’t know why and she didn’t want to find a reason for it either, because she wanted to enjoy it rather an analyze it. The soft and slight prickle that it left on the soles of her feet as she walked across it, and even the slight damp feeling that was beginning to grow. She knew that by the morning, it would be covered in dew from the cool air of the night. The nights in Radasanth reminded her of home, of Dheathain. It was as close as she could come this far from home and so the tiny Fae often found herself out late at night and wandering the Dirks Estate, which was currently the home of Imperial.
Lasair had joined the clan a short time ago because she’d thought they’d sounded like fun, but so far she hadn’t been able to do much of anything for them. She merely stayed in the estate and talked with the myriad of people that seemed to come and go, occasionally even seeing their leader. She was mysterious woman by the name of Tera that Lasair liked to call Ter-Ter because it was really cute and suited the woman in her mind. She was quite secretive though, Lasair never saw her during the day and rarely at night because she was sleeping. Mainly, their leader seemed to make appearances around dusk and dawn. For some reason though, the Fae got this odd sensation that washed over her skin whenever the woman was around. It wasn’t necessarily uncomfortable, but nor was it comfortable. It was more like some really strange instinctual thing that was trying to warn her of something, but she didn’t see anything to be warned about. After all, Ter-Ter was very nice.
Letting out a blissful sigh, Lasair flopped down onto the lush and thick grass in the corner of the Dirks Estate and stared up at the sky. Above her, thousands of blinking lights shimmered down as if tiny shards of crystals trapped in a thick, sea of black that was monstrous and mean enough not to release them. They were beautiful and often were the times when she watched them at home, but here in Corone the constellations were a little different. Still, they were pretty to look at.
Hearing the door to the estate open, Lasair rolled her head to the side and watched as Ter-Ter of all people exited the house and then vaulted right over the wall! Wow, she’d seen Draconians do things like that, but never a human. Sometimes, she wished she could do things like that, it looked really cool and a lot of fun. Then again, she could fly. Could Ter-Ter fly?
Ter-Ter’s leaving the house? Why? She shouldn’t be leaving without anyone to protect her, I shall have to watch over her and see to her safety since her guards are not around.
Lasair to the rescue!
Scrambling to her feet, the tiny Fae quickly made her way through the shadows and dark gardens. The flowers were not as vibrant at night and many of them appeared to have closed their petals for some reason, but she didn’t mind. Plucking a bright white one as she walked by, Lasair placed it in her blood red and golden hair then quickened her pace. She thought about going back inside to get her rucksack and Tristram, but then she’d lose sight of Ter-Ter. She’d just have to do well on her own.
Doing something she rarely if ever did outside of Dheathain, Lasair shrank down to a creature no more than six inches tall and quickly took off after Tera like a fiery ball of light that zipped through the air.
Like a graceful wolf at its prime, Tera's body flew through the woods towards her usual hunting grounds. By road and mortal foot it was a good days walk or more to Underwood, but as a wolf runs, only a little over an hour. She loved the feel of the cool night air as it passed across her skin, the way that she could easily catch a deer, even in these thick woods.
There was a little feeling of something that nagged at the back of her mind, that thought that she was being followed. Then again, what could follow here at this speed through a forest like this? Nothing, at least that was all the thought that was needed to put the whole of it out of her mind.
Then again, the smell of wood stoves and cow manure was quickly growing stronger. The first lights of town began to burn into the world as she grew closer.
Tonight for some reason, she halted at the edge of the town. Her black clad form still somewhat hidden in the shadows of the great oaks around her as she retrieved something from her pocket.
Smoking had been an odd habit, something from before the change she supposed since she never remembered starting anytime after. Not that it mattered it was a killer that only mortals needed to worry about. The flick of a lighter echoed softly in the air as the glare of the flame shown softly.
The heat filled her lungs as she inhaled for the third time tonight before she let out a long sigh. Her body slumped against a tree as she thought for a spell, another one of the oddities she had gained after her return from hell.
What is wrong with me....there must be more... more that that group of mortals that run about like rats wearing the mask of superiority...
thoughts of something that her short time lover in hell had mentioned to her...
“Life, or unlife as you may wish to put it, is what you make of it.”
It angered her to think back on that, still without a reason of why it mattered. Up to this point she had been, content.
Or had she?
Hundreds of lives had ended in her icy embrace, uncountable thousands lay ahead. Was survival all that was there for the vampire Tera? No, there had to be more that just survival.
A goal was needed.
A sudden pang in belly followed by a pain between her fingers stated without relent that the thought would have to wait.
Dropping the remaining ash of her cig she growled as she took to moving deeper into town. She knew the many bars by heart as they were like buffets of the stupid. Like cattle at a feed trough.
Her hips swayed softly as she walked down the streets, looking for that one person foolish enough to be wandering alone.
A devious smile crested her ruby lips as she heard the sounds of a poor girl being taken advantage of. Stopping at the entrance to a rather dark ally she watched with her silver eyes a man pinning a girl, no older than seventeen against the filthy wall of a tavern.
Step by step the vampire proceeded into the darkness, a vicious grin upon her lips.
Within moments the prey was chosen, her hand shot out, wrapping around the throat of the rather rotund male before pulling him close to her face.
“Raping young girls in alleyways isn't very nice” her voice was cold, yet filled with a rich enjoyment. His eyes filled with terror in the short moment that he realized that she wasn't in any way human. His screams were only a series of small grunts before her hand tightened, the bones crackling as she ground them to dust.
With a smug grunt of enjoyment Tera let his body collapse like a rope. Giving only a moments pause she stepped over the corpse, her eyes locked onto the young girl.
“Not a very nice man was he?” dark humor had taken over her voice.
The youth shivered, scared now more than she was with the man trying to force himself upon her. The prey turned to run, only to be stopped by Tera's hand slamming solidly against the wall, baring the exit.
“Don't worry, I'll be gentle” Tera said softly as she licked edges of her teeth.
With one last whimper of the girl, Tera gripped her tightly, her cold hands holding the hot body of her prey with near crushing strength, her teeth piercing deeply into the supple flesh of the neck like some wolf taking down its prey.

It was hard to keep up with her leader. The woman ran faster than most of the animals in Dheathain could. But that was no problem to the Fae since when she was in her cute little tiny and fiery ball of light form she could fly through the air like nobody’s business. It just so happened that small branches which would never pose a problem to her when she was bigger were quite the obstacle when she was this tiny. And tress, oh, she didn’t even want to get started on trees. They were monstrous towers of rough material that tried to squash her every time she turned around, for the moment she avoided one another just seemed to pop up in her face. It was a miracle that she had yet to face plant into something really hard to unforgiving, though she did happen to smack into a few leaves that did nothing but slow her down momentarily.
Sadly, she did lose track of Ter-Ter at some point during her crazy flight, but she quickly found her leader against as she was calmly making her way into the wood streets of Underwood.
Such a cute name for a town, Underwood. Only there doesn’t seem to be very much wood for it to be under. There were forests all around it and of course it appeared to mostly be made of lumber, but that was about it. Perhaps the humans called it Underwood because of the lumber cutting thingy that seemed to thrive here.
Quickly following after her leader, Lasair found herself walking through the seedier parts of the town and she only recognized them as such because the ones in Radasanth were rather similar and she had been kidnapped and ransomed in those one. And Edgar had gotten his hand all smashied and smushed, and it had been rather painful looking for the little Fae. She was just glad his hand was better now and that no more pain existed for the strange, one eyed man that she had befriended.
She watched as Ter-Ter disappeared into an alley snuggled between two taverns that made sure the night was never quite quiet. The muffled sounds of laughter and voices echoed out into the night and drowned out whether peace and quiet may have accompanied the stars and the moon. Rounding the corner, Lasair stopped dead in her tracks as she noticed the still body of a rather fat human lying in the filth of the alleyway. At first she thought he was unconscious, maybe he’d had too much to drink and Tera had merely come across him to help...or something. But then she noticed that his eyes were open and staring directly at her, only they weren’t seeing her at all. They were just blank and...and...
Dead.
By Cosain he’s dead!
And Ter-Ter was doing something to the young looking human girl. She wasn’t sure what, but she had her body pressed up tightly against her own and her head was buried into the side of the girl’s neck. She was struggling against the hold Ter-Ter had on her and occasionally a soft whimper or cry seemed to escape her cracked lips. Not sure what she should do, or if Ter-Ter needed any help or not, Lasair cautiously approached the woman. Her steps were light in the dirt of the alley, avoiding certain little areas that didn’t look safe to step as she slipped closer to her leader.
“Ter-Ter?” Her voice was soft but seemed to carry rather far in the alley.
Stepping over the body of the man, Lasair reached out and gently laid her small hand on the woman’s shoulder.
“There’s a dead man on the ground, Ter-Ter...”
Daisies and ale, the girl's perfume was both elegant and foul to the senses. The feeling of her hot blood, tainted with the spice of adrenaline, flowing down her parched throat was beyond ecstasy. Only a person who had gone to near death with thirst could possibly ever understand this feeling. Let alone the feeling of holding a life in your grasp, and slowly, ever so slowly ending it.
Tis something so vile, so evil to take a life, yet, here it was only natural. Survival on the blood and pain of another. Tera's teeth rubbed softly within the wounds, sending a soft shiver through her elated body. There had been tremors in this prey, deep fearful tremors of pure fear, though between the blood loss and the vampire's crushing grasp around her chest, there was only the weakening attempts at struggling.
The sounds of the bars around them had dulled to a soft roar as she savored the last few swallows of her prey's sweet life. It was in that single moment that her bliss was nearly shattered, then again draining a body gave her such a wonderful buzz.
Her teeth relaxed, but maintained a grip on her prey's neck as she blinked a few times, still making sure that there really was a hand on her shoulder.
The words seemed so familiar, someone she had met before but for some reason could not quite remember. With one last slow blink her grip went lax on her prey, the cooling skin slipping from between her fingers as she turned, a single line of blood dripping from the corner of her lip.
There was a long pause as she searched the face that stared back at her, a drunken glaze in the vampire's eyes.
“L..La...Lasair?” a soft smile formed across her crimson lips as she recognized the young fae, “now what are you doing in such a dreadful place as this?”
There was a soft sway to her whole body as she turned completely. The kind that so many intoxicated souls have. A good roar erupted from inside as she watched the fae, her silver eyes glistening in the low light as she took a short step towards her fellow Imperial.
The grin across her face perked a little more as her arms snapped gently around Lasair's waist, her hands clasping behind the young fae's back before pulling the thin form against her.
“Has anyone ever told you that you have such lovely eyes dear?” the words were soft and personal.

She looked like she was drunk. Lasair had seen it many times when she went out to the local taverns with her friends and had experienced it quite a few times as well. The way her hips moved from side to the side and general disposition of her body, not to mention that glossy expression lighting her lovely silver eyes all pointed to the fact that she was drunk. Except as the woman latched onto her and pulled her close, the small Fae did not smell ale upon her breath or any other form of alcohol. In fact, the only thing that seemed to be coming off Ter-Ter’s lips was the ruby glint of blood, some of which had dripped down from the corner of her mouth and stained her chin. The look of it and the long canines that Lasair could see as the woman talked to her meant only one thing. And that one thing illicited only one response from the Fae.
Uh-oh...
Ter-Ter was a vampire.
Vampires were supposed to be bloodsucking creatures of darkness that preyed on the cute and innocent and drained all the blood from their body turning them into mindless, walking zombies! And...and...and, Ter-Ter was one of them! She was a bloodsucking demon from the pits of hell...sort of. She didn’t really look like a bloodsucking demon from the pits of hell. And as far as Lasair was concerned she had always been quite nice and pleasant to talk to, even if she currently had her arms wrapped around her in a death grip that was holding her small frame against the woman’s much colder body. Then there was the fact that Lasair did not have her Vampire Repellent with her.
By the Draconian Gods she usually brought that stuff with her everywhere, safely tucking it away in her rucksack for such a situation. Only her rucksack was back at the Dirks manor, along with her plushies and every other item that she had in her possession. She had nothing to help her in this kind of situation. But would she really need it? Ter-Ter hadn’t exactly latched herself onto the Fae’s neck and she wasn’t drinking her blood. Maybe she would be just fine.
“Umm... yes, they have!” She said rather cheerfully to the woman’s question. “Yours are really pretty too, they’re silver. I think silver is much prettier than gold, though they would look funny since my hair is blood red.”
Seeing as she couldn’t break free from Tera’s hold on her and she wasn’t even entirely sure if she wanted to, Lasair placed her small hands on Ter-Ter’s hips. Her touch was light and tentative because she wasn’t really sure what she should be doing in this kind of situation.
So quaint and frail.
The Fae held within her arms knew something was wrong, but did she know just what kind of danger that she was really in?
“Thank you, love,” she whispered softly as her face grew closer to Lasair's.
Their eyes remained locked and she really hadn't been expecting the soft fingers settling on her hips. Only Winter had held her back, and yet now there was another. The intoxication of her meal began to wane as the world returned from its calmed self. In her arms was someone unique, even in this world.
Hundreds of souls had been held within her arms, and all but a few had ever walked away. How would she be with this girl, this simple, innocent Fae. Even to the vampire, killing her seemed...
Wrong.
It sat ill within her and with such, she could not bring herself to end this life. But alas, what would she do with such a fine creature? Though it didn't show on her face, the wheels of thoughts spun quickly. There was a small chance she could save all that she had been working towards, even if it felt wrong. The survival instinct would always be stronger.
“Lasair, Love...how about we go somewhere...a little more quiet?” her ruby lips spoke softly with a coo of slyness.
“Okay! maybe we should go back to the manor...” the Fae replied with hope.
“Back to that stuffy old place?”
“But it's safe there, you don't have your guards and I can only defend you so much...” Lasair's voice fell at the end, saddened by the fact that she would never be a good fighter.
The vampress gazed into the young Fae's eyes, “ Don't worry love, we are perfectly safe. Why don't we go get a nice room and talk?”
She nodded her head “Okay! I trust you Ter-Ter.”
With a single nod and a smile the matter was settled, and within moments the vampire was leading her new little friend by the hand. Slow enough that she could keep up but quick enough to have a purpose. A few people watched them, some curious, others allowing their minds to run with the idea of two young girls. A sly smile led her as she entered one of the nicer inns, quickly slapping down a price she already knew from night after night of patronage.
A soft sigh escaped her as she opened the door, holding it open for Lasair to enter first. Her senses were met by the same wonderful perfumes used to make the place “welcoming” A light scent of apples and cinnamon that was usually just a hint.
“Please, make yourself comfortable love.”

And did Lasair ever make herself comfortable.
The room was monstrous compared to the one she was currently using at the Dirks manor. The bed was a gigantic poster bed with dark wood carved to look like creeping ivy winding its way towards the ceiling, only to suddenly break off and rain down in a flutter of deep red and purple sheer material. They hid the lush and fluffy looking mattress within their flowing and slightly translucent depths. The rest of the room was left relatively open and comfortable, with a soft carpet that felt really nice against her bare feet, a large stone fireplace across from the bed and a table and couch set before it. There was no fire within the fireplace, but the wood and kindling were all set inside awaiting the flame that would consume them. The light that was gently giving the room its soft glow was coming from a few candles scattered all over the place and a lamp on the bedside table.
“It’s so pretty...” Lasair said as she looked around, her eyes wide with amazement and excitement.
She noticed a door tucked into wall near to the large window and quickly skipped over to it and slipped inside. Two seconds later, her voice could be heard echoing out. “Wow, it comes with its own bathroom and the bathtub is huge, Ter-Ter!”
Lasair slipped back out into the main room a few seconds after her voice had, her eyes still taking in the room around her and large windows that let in the light of the moon through their delicate looking curtains. The glass was closed though, keeping the slight chill in the air out of the room.
“Can I start a fire, can I? I love fire.” She didn’t wait for any response from the vampire; instead she moved right over to the fireplace and grabbed the long box of matches that lay on the top mantle. Picking up one of the sticks, she struck the red end along the bottom of the box and quickly placed the flame into the hearth, watching with a large smile as the kindling immediately began to catch and the wood soon after. The room quickly filled with the smell of burning wood and Lasair drew in a deep breath from it before standing straight. Throwing the remains of the match into the fireplace, she put the box back on the mantle and then turned to Tera.
“Well, you’ve got me all alone and all to yourself!” Lasair said rather cheerfully to the woman, not even realizing that this might be a potentially very bad situation for her to be in. It was just too far beyond her grasp. She was a rather intelligent woman, but when one started factoring common sense into the equation and the instinct for survival, well, Lasair’s IQ rate steadily dropped. “So what did you want to talk about?”
Even someone as cold as Tera couldn't help but smile at the young Fae. Truly with such innocent charm there had to be some way to avoid ripping her throat out. A soft sigh escaped her lips as her fingers slowly locked the door with the key, securely sealing both of them inside. The soft smell of flowers soothed the vampire for a moment as she thought in silence.
Taking a short moment to removed her boots while watching Lasair light the waiting logs, her small feet stepped across the soft carpet. The room itself was like a second home in truth, as she had brought many a poor soul here for their final moments.
“Love...” Tera spoke softly as she unzipped her jacket, slowly letting it fall to the floor as she continued to approach the gentle girl. “do you know what I am?”
Lasair tilted her head to the side as she watched Tera, “Well, not until a moment ago, but I do now. You're a vampire.
Her silver eyes closed for a moment as she continued to close the distance, step by step. “Yes...” she said with a soft nod,”and you know how we survive, correct?”
Lasair nodded, a contemplative but still unworried expression covering her face. “You feed off the blood of others.
“I... cannot allow anyone else to know what I am.” her hand reached out slowly, cupping the Fae's chin, “but I also don't want to have to kill you to keep this secret.”
Lasair smiled at her and closed her eyes briefly to the touch,”Then you have nothing to fear, because I can keep a secret. I promise.”
Her eyes were soft as she grew even closer, her other hand moving up to cradle the other cheek. “I know, but I have to be sure.”
Their eyes were locked, the soft gold of the Fae to the burning silver of the vampire. They grew closer, Tera pulling softly as she leaned in. The contrast of the warmth of life to the cold of death sending a tingle through the vampire as their lips touched. The soft fabrics of their clothes touched, the cool leather of her pants against the bare skin of the fay.

Cold.
Despite the shock that was running through Lasair’s system, she could feel cold. It practically bled from the woman before her and seeped into the warm body of the Fae, stealing it from her and in turn making her feel cold. She shivered and small little goose bumps broke out across the bare skin of her arms and continued to her neck and then down her spine. It made her want to pull away, it made her want to pull Ter-Ter in closer, but most of all, it made her highly confused. Tera was kissing her and she didn’t know what she should be doing, or how she should be reacting. Tera was a girl—and also the leader of the clan she was in—she should not be doing this considering both of those factors. But still, she found her small hands rising and resting upon Tera’s waist, even if softly and rather unsure of their placement.
Then she pulled back and away from the kiss. Her eyes searching the silver ones and unable to decipher what lay in their depths. She didn’t know what to do. This was really strange for her and made a rather nervous flutter start somewhere in the pit of her stomach.
“Umm...Ter-Ter...” Even her words lacked the confidence and the excited bounce that usually carried them. “I...should we really be doing this, I mean, you’re a girl.”
She watched as Tera licked her lips before her soft voice filled the room. “Does it bother you that I am a girl?”
Lasair thought about it for a moment. She had never been with a girl a girl before, it was not something that Fae usually did, nor did the Draconians and most of her experience came from Draconians. They seemed to have a particular attraction towards Fae. Maybe it was because Fae were much smaller and far gentler than them, or perhaps it was something different altogether. But either way, that was not here or now.
“Oh, well... I don’t know.” She said in a contemplative manner, as her brows furrowed down in concentration. “I mean...I’ve never been with a girl before so I’ve never really thought about it.”
She growled low in her throat as she pressed her body just a little further against Lasair’s, making her feel the cold even more and making her shiver in her embrace. “Well, you look like the adventurous type and I...want to secure our deal.”
“Oh!” Her wings perked up and shimmered upon her back as they moved faster than even Tera’s eyes could possibly follow. “Vampires seal deals with kissing? Okay.”
Before Tera could respond to Lasair’s statement, or do much of anything else, the small Fae pressed her lips against Tera’s and kissed her like she hadn’t when the woman had originally begun this.
It was here that the tables would seem to turn on vampress, yet, it was merely Lasair's innocence. The kiss was none the less returned in gratuity, Tera's arms wrapping around the small Fae slowly. Her scent filled the sanguine's senses as her hands searched her back for a moment.
The kiss broke slowly as the vampire leaned back with a soft smile “yeah...We kiss.” there was a bit of humored irony richening her voice.
With a quick motion Tera lifted her guest into her arms, moving quickly to the bed. Crawling over the little Fae like a great cat, her unblinking eyes locked on those of Lasair. Her pink tongue gliding around the edges of her teeth as a grip was taken of the frail creatures arms, firm yet only that. There was no way that the ancient vampire could harm such a beautiful creature, not in the way she had taken so many lives.
It was with one last deep kiss that their forms were bared from their clothes, lavish satin caressing their forms as they lay with each other, Tera tutoring the young Fae in that truly women could easily please one another. It was there that those rich sheets became moist with Lasair's perspiration, her heated body cooled by the vampire's gentle touches. Late into the night did the two fill their body's lustful throws, till the vampress feared breaking the gentle Fae.
The candles had burnt nearly to their holders as the Fae lay panting atop a pile of pillows. Tera could only sit staring with a curious smile at her sweat glistening conquest. Her words were soft as she crawled over the small form, her chill body like a winter breeze in the heat of summer.
“Lasiar, “ it came with a soft purr, “now comes the real, fun part.”
Giving one last deep gaze into her golden eyes the vampire nuzzled her neck for only a moment before letting her fang sink softly through the flesh of the shoulder. Lasair's silver blood was like the finest of wine upon the tongue.

Her body felt sore in the best way possible. She couldn’t remember the last time she had felt this satisfied in a way that was completely different from when she slept with men. That was a whole different kind of pleasure that she didn’t want to compare to this. It was like Tera knew all the right places to touch to bring about the appropriate response and just torture her until she could barely stand it and she was begging for mercy. That seemed to spur Ter-Ter on even more into her torturous touches. But eventually Lasair had reached a point where she just couldn’t go any further. Every nerve ending on her body felt far too sensitive and every touch Ter-Ter gave her was nearly enough to send her over the edge. She could barely stand it anymore and her leader seemed to have realized it.
Taking the brief reprieve to try and steady the constant thudding of her own heart and her shallow gasps for breath, Lasair stretched out on the bed, feeling the smooth sheets rubs across her skin. It caused small shivers to cascade down her back.
Tera didn’t seem to want to give her very long to recover though, she was quickly crawling back across Lasair’s body, eliciting a series of shivers as her cold skin met Lasair’s much more heated. Then she nuzzled her neck, causing Lasair to nearly purr from the touch. Nearly, until she felt a sudden pinch and slight amount of pain at the base of her neck. It caused her to whimper and tense slightly as she grabbed Tera by the arms and tried to push her away from her and sit up. But her leader placed her hand gentle on Lasair’s stomach and pushed her back down onto the bed, holding her in place with just enough force to keep her pinned to the bed, but not enough to hurt her.
“T-Tera... what...” She shivered as a wave of pleasure washed over her body, causing her words to be cut off and turn into a slow and almost pleading moan. Whatever she was doing it felt strange and odd and amazing all at the same time and she didn’t want her to stop. She clutched at Tera, holding her to her to spur her further on in whatever she was doing. She had an idea as to what it was, what she had seen her leader doing before to that girl in the alleyway. She knew, but she wasn’t sure and the sudden and light feeling in her head was not allowing her to think very much about it.
The sensation grew until she felt her body beginning to relax in Tera’s hold as her arms and hands lost their grip along the smooth and cool skin of Tera’s back, slipping from there and back onto the bed. She was starting to grow dizzy and even a little tired. She just wanted to curl up in Ter-Ter’s embrace and go to sleep, maybe continue more of this in the morning. Maybe. But right now she just felt so calm and relaxed and even if she wanted to move she wasn’t sure if she could, her entire body feeling rather sluggish.
“Ter... no more...” She said softly.
Such sweet and magnificent flavors did the Fae hold, even to this conisuer of blood, never had she tasted of such things. It came not as spicy or metallic or any of the usual manners to describe blood, no, this came as such things as colors and sounds, flavors unknown to even an immortal. Truly this must be the great wine of the gods!
Tera became lost within it, like laying in an ocean of infinite space.
Were these small Fae the promised land for vampires?
It came with sorrow when suddenly she had to stop, something inside spoke and she answered. The return to the world was sudden, but like falling into a dark hole.
“Lasair?” she said softly as her fangs left her neck, her saliva sealing the wounds as if they had never been there.
Their eyes locked, both glazed and hazy. Lasair from blood loss and the vampire from ecstasy. She could feel the soft creature under her, the way she seemed drained and pale. If Tera's heart beat, it would be panicking. Had she hurt this one thing that seemed so fragile that any god that would see to ending it should be erased from the universe.
“I...” Tera began, remembering why she had done what she had done.
With but a soft nibble she broke the ancient skin of her wrist, the blood dripping softly from her pale skin onto the sheets beneath them. With only another moments hesitation, her hand moved, holding the little Fae's mouth gently open.
“drink Lasair” Tera whispered softly to her before holding her bleeding wrist over her face, dripping it into the Fae's open mouth.
Lasair would not be turned, would not be some foul ghoul ever destined to rot. She would be a loyal servant to her vampire master. A new thrall that would be more like a drug than a good hunt could ever hope to be.

She felt so light. Like she was tired but not really tired even though all she wanted to do was curl up into a little ball and snuggle into some warm. Or cool, because apparently Tera was really cool for some reason. It may have something to do with the fact that her leader was a vampire, or it could be something else entirely. The tiny Fae wasn’t really sure, she just knew that when the woman touched her it sent small, pleasurable shivers across her skin and caused little bumps to form on it. It was actually a rather odd for the normally cool night air to feel warm against her skin after Tera pulled away from her slightly and left her bare to the breeze.
Lasair watched her with a haze of curiosity as she brought her wrist up to her mouth and bit down on it. Then her mouth was pulled open gently as Tera’s fingers gripped her jaw. Her wrist was held over her mouth and blood began to drip down onto her tongue as her leader told her to drink in a way that didn’t sound like a question or a command.
Furrowing her brows, the Fae watched her leader for a few moments, her golden eyes questioning and confused as the metallic taste began to overrun her senses. She didn’t know why or what drove her to, but she gingerly reached up and grabbed a hold of her leader’s arm. Pulling it down to her without resistance she closed her mouth over the small wound and began to drink the life blood that flowed into her waiting mouth. She knew she was drinking blood and that there was something about it that was wrong, but she couldn’t seem to stop herself. Her head soon began to feel strange, like a constant spin was about the room. Her body tingled as waves of heat rolled over the surface of the skin, making each of her nerves endings come alive once more causing a deep moan to issue from her throat.
She didn’t know how long she remained like that. It would have been seconds or perhaps even hours, for time was lost to the small Fae. It merely came crashing back down upon her when Ter-Ter removed her wrist from her mouth, slowly, gently, pulling it away and leaving Lasair shifting and almost begging for more. She’d even completely forgotten what she’d been drinking.
As she lay there, starring up at the canopy of the bed, the small Fae sighed contently and snuggled against the sheets. Everything felt so weird right now and thoughts just kind of filtered through her fingers like sand. She’d never experienced such a thing before. Then it changed. Rather suddenly she felt her stomach turn and her mind suddenly break into a million sharp and pointy pieces that seemed to prick her every second. It was possibly some of the worst pain she could ever remembering experiencing in her life and there didn’t seem to be anything she could do about it.
Whimpering, she clutched at her head and rolled over her side as she felt her stomach turn and rebel and bile rise into the back of her throat. She swallowed it, feeling the burn the entire way back down and the vile taste fill her mouth. Why was she starting to feel so sick? Shuddering and curling into herself, Lasair continued to struggle to keep the sickness down even as she felt it growing worse and worse. Finally, when she couldn’t anymore, the small Fae practically threw herself to the edge of the bed and leaned over while she threw up onto the floor. The taste in her mouth made her sick all over again as she heaved even more on the dark wood, the colour of the contents red and bright against it from the blood she had drank.
Sobbing quietly, Lasair pulled herself into a tight ball and wrapped her arms around her legs as her head continued to pound and her body shiver with whatever was running through her.

STORY (12/30)
~ Continuity ~ 3
Honestly don’t know what either of you were doing, trying to accomplish, where you’d come from, who you were… You didn’t explain the Imperial, the Dirks Estate, anything.
~ Setting ~ 5
Other than the descriptions added by Lasair, this thread was a void for setting.
~ Pacing ~ 4
The small, one or two sentence ‘paragraphs’ by Tera detract from the pacing, as well as hurt in other areas. You have a very concise style of writing, but it is a form of INTENSE brevity that actually detracts from the aesthetic appeal. See Technique for the rest.
CHARACTER (13/30)
~ Dialogue ~ 5
~ Action~ 3
~ Persona ~ 5
Tera’s character does nothing more than hit on anything that moves… I saw it in the other thread, I see it in this one, and it makes the vampiress seem and indeed be two dimensional. Try and write more into the thread regarding WHO she is, other than a vampire who lusts.
WRITING STYLE (21/30)
~ Technique ~ 6
The brevity of your posts, Tera, makes it so that you tend to ignore in-depth persona, the setting, any form of back story or current story, and in the end makes the thread somewhat bland.
~ Mechanics ~ 8
~ Clarity ~ 7
WILD CARD!!! 5
Tera, you power game quite a bit. In the third post you ground some mans bones to dust, which I take as that or crushed and broke a man’s bones with your grip… either way that’s far too strong for a level 0 character to do. I read your profile, I saw that it was technically allowed, but there is still a moderator’s discretion involved with the judging. Your skills in general are too strong for your level… even if they were approved.
