Okay, this is an idea that's been floating around for a coupld of weeks. A way to write as a different character, without making a new account.
This would be set before the FQ in Raiaera.
A dark mage is searching for the ultimate power, two people are out to stop him. (I haven't worked out the kinks for the beginning of the story as to how the two people will find the dark mage and need to stop him.) The two lose the mage's trail for a while. The dark mage's deep investigations into the history of the power leads him to Raiaera. The two follow, and after searching and digging, recatch his trail and follow him to this deep underground cavern where the power is said to be. Inside this cavern is a forgotten temple to a lost god. After entering the temple and looking around, the three come upon the altar room where the power is housed.
Inside, they see a floating veridian crystal the size of a fist, and three skeletons. Two are next to the crystal and one is at the base of the steps to the altar. The dark mage is already making his way for the crystal when the other two arrive and they tell him to stop, he smiles, says something diabolical and touches the crystal.
A wave of energy envelopes the room and what the dark mage failed to realize, was that the crystal housed the conciousness of the three skeletons.
One was an elf paladin to the god of the temple, another was a drow wizard out to rule Althanas, and the last is a helpless elf maiden, tied to the paladin through magical means.
And this is where it gets interesting. The transfer of the consciousness didn't go as you would think. The dark mage becomes the paladin. One of the other two becomes the wizard, and the last becomes the elf maiden. To each other they look as they did in the past, but if they look in the mirror, they see the original characters.
So what I thought about was getting characters that were completely different from the roles of the past guys.
The dark mage would play as a noble elf paladin throughout the quest. One of the two (me and another) would become the evil wizard and helpless maiden.
The people I had in mind for this are as follows:
Me, half-elf do-gooder ~ evil wizard
Cyrus, evil mage ~ noble elf paladin
Ira Shinkara, strong female warrior ~ helpless elf maiden.
Another odd quirk would be that the past beings dont have their former powers. The evil wizard would have to learn to use a sword, the elf paladin would have to learn magic, and the elf maiden...well...she's still helpless.
I don't know, this is kind of a complex story for me to explain clearly. Which would explain the very random and unorganized mess above. If you like the story or are interested, leave a post. I can't guarantee I'll start this...but I thought I'd get it out there.
