Ok! Let's start getting people signed up for the tournament! Sign up order won't determine who gets matched up with who, but we want to see what number of people we'll have.

Match styles will be 5 stock, best of 3 with medium items. We'll determine which maps to use (or have it random and by WE I mean BlackandBlueEyes and Zerith).

So even if you have already said you'd like a tournament in my other SSBB thread (http://www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php?p=108563#post108563), post here again so I can update the list. So please put the desired Althanas account name and also the Wii name you'll be going under. If it's an acronym or initials, feel free to share them with us in parentheses.

Also either PM me your friend code or just post it along with your name to make it easier.

I need to find a new favorite character. Jigglypuff's rest has been nerfed. not only is it even harder to hit with now, but it's way weaker too.

I'm thinking Metaknight or Kirby, but right now, I'm not too good with them. Andy proved that to me.

Actually, Items killed me for the most part. I kept self destructing, but I still need to get better before the tournament.

(Oh, and I changed up my taunts, Andy, because compared to yours, mine were lame.)

A good taunt should be one that infuriates your opponent while making everyone else chuckle. It's a tactic that might be childish (ask anyone with a headset and Xbox Live), but can often prove supereffective in throwing your opponent of their game.

If it's speed you want, try using Pit.

Pit rocks. He's the new character that anyone can pick up and kick some serious digital butt with.

Meta Knight, on the other hand, I'm kind of disappointed with. He's got speed, but almost no power to his smash attacks.

Metaknight is ok, he has great moves and can rack up damage fast, trying to KO someone with Metaknight is a problem though.

Pit is... Pit. I really don't like using him much. Speed is not what I look for in characters.

I like versatility in moves, easy recovery, and strength to my moves all wrapped up in one package. Metaknight has 2 or 3 moves that can be used for recovery, Jiggly can float and rollout is a great recovery move if used correctly, Pit does have all these qualities, I guess, but confuses the heck out of me nonetheless, Kirby has the ability to float plus his cutter recovery move.

If I wanted speed, I'd take Sonic, by the way. but he is too fast for me.

Pit's recovery is fucking incredible. His flying is the easiest way to win an stock-lives game.

Take it from someone who's a surviver first and a KOer second.

Also, fuck, Pit's final smash is incredible! He calls the fucking angel armies of GOD.

Yeah, I know all that, but I still think he is a bit awkward for my tastes. Don't ask me why, but I'm just not good with Pit. ROB's recovery is similar to pit's but I don't use him much either. As for the final smashes, I prefer Ness and Lucas's final smash, but I am not playing as them because I don't like thier movesets too much. Don't get me wrong, they are good moves, just not the kind I like to use. I could care less about a character's final smash when choosing a character, though because if you base your choice on that and a smash ball doesn't appear, you are screwed.

I want movesets that work well with ech other. I used to use what I've dubbed 'Jigglypunch' then jump into my foes and rest KO them while they are recovering from that. Those moves worked together in Melee.

Kirby has great versatility in moves, a close range: hammer, a projectile/antiair: Cutter, and a heavy hitting antiground attack: Stone

Metaknight has speedy attacks, and can really rack up damage.

Ask BlackandBlueEyes about Kirby's Final Smash attack, he should know all about it by now.

The problem with Chef Kirby is that it's got a radius effect. If you're far enough away from it, it won't have any effect in you and it'll leave Kirby open for a nasty counterattack.
