III. Attire
Basic Wear
-A skin-tight, light blue sleeveless tunic fits over his torso, drawn into a v-neck below his throat and ending just above his waist. It is of a tough silk material, woven for constant endurance and not easily ripped. It has an open back that is drawn together above the waist to allow for free and unhindered movement of his wings.
-A darker, navy blue comprises his skin-tight slacks, of the same silk as hisi tunic. They end just below the knee.
-Although generally commonplace and unimpressive, his clothes hold abstract designs that nearly blends with the background color, shimmering in different tones of light. They seem to be flaming abstract bird designs tracing down the back and front. This suggests that perhaps they are not so cheap in his homeland.
Footwear
-Though he never wears boots are shoes, he does wear blue strips of cloth that bind his ankles and feet, but his heels and toes are kept free.
Belt and sheath
-Buckled over his waist, a finely woven belt holds a small sheath. Both are colored a navy blue with light blue patterns.
Accessories
-Rings decorate both rings fingers and both middle fingers, all of them silver with diamond bands. Despite their fine quality, they are scratched all over, with some of the diamond stones completely broken off or shattered.
-Odd strings of sapphire beads hang from the feathers behind his ears. They seem light and do not weigh them down.
-He appears to wear gold paint on the tips of his primary and alular feathers. As most of his feathers are dark brown to black, the result is quite striking, matching with the gold bits lining the rest of the wings.

IV. Special Equipment
None at the moment.

V. Primary Weapon(s)[/b]
Dirk: Aplo
-Named after the beautiful aplomado falcon, this dirk is of iron, folded in wavy patterns to look like Damascus. However, it is nowhere near as hard as real Damascus; it is just iron. Although it apparently has stitches and nicks all over the flat, suggesting rough and abusive use, the edge is kept sharp and fine. However, as he often prefers to use his talons instead, he has neglected intense practice with the dirk, and so his skill with it has so far remained merely average, reserved for a quick emergency back up.
Talons
-Able to grow these at will, talons extend from the middle knuckles to curve over the tips, about 1.5” in length. They are razor-sharp and hard as steel. Unfortunately, they break a lot. When this happens, he makes do with his fists, although he is less than inept at hand-to-hand combat. Since they are his natural weapons he is considerably a better fighter with them than with his dirk.
Wings While uncomfortable, he can strike someone using the wrists of his wings. This is like hitting a funny bone and disables flight until the pins and needle sensation passes, usually taking a few seconds to a minute.

VI. Special Abilities
Falcon Flight
-As a falcon Shapeshifter, Aeshal can grow wings at will from his back. At high altitudes, the wings can propel him through the sky and across the ground at decent speeds.. He cannot sustain flight very long, because he is still a young falcon and dashes especially sap his strength; among his people he is still considered a fledgling. The statistics of his flight capabilities are listed below.
Low Level Dashes: 39.999mph maximum (he has no qualms using this in battle. 1' to 2' above the ground)
High Altitude Flight: 54.999mph maximum (under a strict sense of honor, he'd rather preserve his strength and not fly when fighting against a groundwalker)
Hard Dive: 100 mph (he only does this in full falcon form, and when hunting for food)
Low Speed Glide: 2mph (he likes to relax)

Falcon Shift
-Aeshal can take the form of a small falcon, about the size of merlin. This is because he is young and cannot take on a full adult peregrine form. As he grows older, this alternate form will grow to a large size, up to the point where he would not be able to perch comfortably on a man’s shoulder. For now though, he could spend all day on someone’s shoulder, and happily so. His flight capabilities are the same in demi form above, but far more easily executed as he is smaller and lightweight.
Falcon Cry
-Not an attack so much as a distraction, Aeshal can execute an ear-piercing shriek. Although it is not damaging, it hurts when heard, especially at close range.

VII. Biography
The Falcon Shapeshifters were not created by birth but rather by the great magestorms that sweep the lands of Genesaris, located in Valucre. These magestorms, storms of powerful sorcery sent by the gods ruling the land, give birth to elementals, magicians, spellcasters, monsters and all manners of mystical creations, infusing their bodies with magic. The Falcon Shapeshifters are just one of these victims. Peregrines, aplomados, merlins, and gyrfalcons were born in the western mountains, and the humans living near them gave way to the shapeshifters. Aging slower and at a different pace than either bird or human, they are capable of living twice or even three times as long as a human, often never looking older than forty years of age.

Aeshal is of peregrine descent, 22 years old and still considered a fledgling, not yet capable of maintaining long periods of flight. Young and brash, he left the mountains for the adventure of traveling, soon becoming lost and bewildered in the strange land of Althanas. Despite this and the lost hope of ever returning home, Aeshal is fascinated by this new world and is working now as a freelance mercenary and adventurer. Trained from birth how to fend for himself by savage parents who strongly believed in a philosophy of survival of the fittest, Aeshal is often hostile and predatory in nature, though capable of demonstrating gentler habits.

What he doesn’t know is that another bloodline runs alongside his peregrine heritage – that of the great Roc.

Fun Facts:
Aeshal finds perching on a shoulder fun. It’s softer than a branch and he likes the rocking motion.
Although he’ll eat mice and such in bird form, he enjoys jelly-filled pastries much more.
He is highly envious of songbirds, and can’t sing for his life.
His worst fear is breaking a wing bone.
He has a horrible tendency of striking too hard, breaking his weapons. Although he has learned to control striking with the dirk, he can’t seem to learn to pull his punches with his talons.

Eyebrows?

Anyway, moving 60mph while in battle is out of the question, that'll have to go down. Maybe switch it with his high altitude flight speed.

Otherwise, you're looking good. Just throw in an ability to show he's got average ability with his dirk for my peace of mind.

You put in that he's a better fighter with his talons, but whatever. Approved.
