Petra
03-31-08, 05:30 AM
Name: Petrushka Minevski
Age: 21
Race: Human
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 118 lbs.
Occupation: Street Puppeteer
Personality: Calm, with a mischievious grin. Silent, with a twinkle in her eyes. While she appears to only be enjoying the sun, her mind is always thinking... formulating and analyzing. While Petra appears unthreatening, one should always be aware that looks can be decieving...
Appearance: Under the long, blue coats trimmed with white fox fur, Petra looks like your average Salvic civilian, although there appears to be an air of enigma in her very movement as she walk. Her golden locks dancing calmly in the wind, but never really tangled. Her bright blue eyes shining in the sun, yet holding faint twinkles of attention. Her fingers, slender and fragile, yet vigorous and agile. At her side, always carrying a large black suitcase made of treated leather and polished brass. Fur-lined leather boots comfort her feet as she trudge through the snow. And atop her head, a warm black fur hat shaped like a tube.
As there are practically no one who dressed like her, it made this Puppeteer all the more strange to a random wanderer's eyes.
History:
-Drip-
A silent sound of nothingness echoed in a hall with no walls. A curtain of darkness, so intangible, veiled the eternal abyss beyond what the eyes can see.
-Drip-
A fragile hand reached out to the inky sky, feeling nothing but the emptiness and witnessing none but the dark. Bound by the shackles of Will and held down by the anchors of Fate, a lonely soul hearkens Daybreak to come.
-Ring-
A jingling sound echoed in the nothingness, shrouded by the eternal veil of darkness. The fragile hand looked on, reaching towards the unfathomable form beyond the darkened shroud.
A fragile hand meets a fragile soul.
-Ring-
“Well, hello there.” An unknown voice echoed in the hall with no walls, a shadow moving idly along the edges of the curtain of darkness. “I wonder who might you be.”
The fragile hand paused, withdrawing into the shell of nothingness and shivered.
“Oh? Have you not a name?”
The fragile hand paused and shook, never having known what it is to call a “name.”
(What is my name? Can you tell me?)
The shadowy form traipsed, closer and closer, towards the fragile hand. Halting only for a second to peek through the veil, it continued on prancing around as if stalking its prey.
“No, I’m afraid I cannot help you there.”
The unfamthomable form giggled, laying down next to the quivering fragile hand.
“A name is what you call yourself. A form by which you take. A self you manifest. But even still, what is in a name?”
The form peered at the fragile hand, toying at the bound Slave of Destiny with its vivid almond eyes.
“So… Do you want a Name?”
The fragile hand shook with delight, however restrained against the Shackles of Will and Anchors of Fate. For it cannot move beyond its duty… Or the Great Will.
“Well, then. I will give you…”
The unfathomable form paused, holding a paw to its lips. Shook its head.
“…No, that will not do. I still cannot give you a name.”
The ever-delighted fragile hand froze and dropped to the bottomless floor, hanging there in sorrow and despair.
(Will I ever know what it is, this Name which sounds ever wonderful?)
The fragile hand sobbed, shaking in misery of the eternal depths of endless darkness. For there was nothing here to do but weep forever, until the Shackles of Will and Anchors of Fate deemed itself to be no more.
“A name is a form, a self you manifest as you live.”
The unfathomable form giggled once more, brushing a slender tail against the Slave of Destiny as it moved.
“Therefore, you will have to find it on your own.”
-Snap-
The Anchors were no more.
Skills:
Marionette Manipulation (Standard) - Petra can manipulate two marionettes at the same time. Of course, this only works for her regular marionettes she control to make a living performing on the streets. Most of the times, she control one marionette with her left hand and another with her right. Fine control is a bit hard and the marionettes sometimes act a bit wonky. Can be used with her normal puppets.
Marionette Manipulation (Advanced) - While Petra is fairly skilled using marionettes to tell a story, there are times she had to defend herself or control other things to her will. Using her special control rings, each with strings attached to her -special- sets of marionettes, Petra can control one of them at a time to attack, defend and manipulate objects as she needs. Given the limited control a marionette could perform, she is not very good at making them lifelike. [Marionette Fighting eqivalent to Above Average skill.]
Abilities:
SIGHT - Petra can see... what others can't. Ghosts, ethereal demons, wandering spirits and even Death. She does not know why yet... she just does.
SPEECH - She can speak... to others which should not exist. While there are not many unearthly attendants she regularly meets, there -is- one who continues to linger about...
Equipment:
Normal Marionettes - [Made from cedar. Cannot be used for fighting, as they would probably break on impact]
1) Albert (Generic Male Marionette dressed in the traditional traveler gears. Stands twelve inches tall.)
2) Betty (Generic Female Marionette dressed in a waitress outfit. Stands almost eleven inches tall.)
3) Lou (Generic Fat Male Marionette dressed in a woodcutter's outfit. Stands eleven inches tall.
4) Anya (Generic Girl Marionette dressed in wide green skirt and white blouse. Stands seven inches tall.)
Special Marionettes - [Made from a special wood but just as strong as oak. Is always kept inside her coat as protection]
1) Sharon (Longsword-wielding Girl Marionette with flaming hair and glowing red eyes. Carries her curved longsword in both hands. Stands seven inches tall and has a reach of one feet. Sword made of steel.)
2) Matilda (Scythe-swinging Girl Marionette in white robe and red shoes. She has white hair and vivid red eyes. She can launch three small orbs at once up to perhaps three yards, causing slight numbness to a person's limbs if it hit. Can launch about six before the doll stops cooperating. Stands about eight inches tall.
3) Alita (Shield-Bearer Marionette with short golden hair and a bright red bow. She wears a typical green maid's dress, complete with an apron, and holding a golden shield about the size of a person's hand. While the shield is made of steel, how much force it can absorb directly depends on how firmly Alita is on the ground. Stands about seven inches tall.
