Yes its a fight Challenge, and no it’s not going to be a typical fight either

Reason: 2 vs.1 at LEAST

Why?

< --- *looks at character*

That’s why, my character has an interesting … ‘point of view’ but as it is, I have no idea how to actually play said character, and I am not sure how to actually go about it in a fight either despite its purpose, which is why I am proposing this fight so as to actually find out

Plus 1 on 1 fights would be rather pointless, and I don’t exactly want to, (probably can’t) use an npc either

So who gets to wield my character and who is gonna be the victim?

"Victim"?

Edit: I knew you were gonna have trouble with your character the moment I read him. I mean it's a piece of equipment; it isn't even really sentient. Kudos to you for trying something different, but I think you boxed yourself into a corner. The only way out at this point, as I see it, is to use an NPC as the bearer in quests.

yeah, talk about flavour of the month

err did i say victim? i meant ... crash ... err testier ... ya lets go with that

when i had the character in mind latching on to NPC's wasn't what i had in mind, and at the moment it's looking to be a Quest only character ... need to test it out first though

Even if someone was wielding you, how would you do anything? Would you just randomly attack on your own while they're holding you? Give me some examples or something.

thats the issue in and of itself

i'd figure i'd either revolve between posting before and after the Weilder, Before for defensive shapeshifting, as in going from sword to sheild

and after for the one magic attack i do have at the moment

it's going to be very clumsy, i hope to work something out, if not i will stick to quests

any ideas would be very much appreciated

Edit
that or i do go and get a no-nonesence NPC to manipulate in such things??

I think you might want to create another character (NPC or PC) if you want to battle. I mean, as entertaining as watching Bevel hopelessly blunder around with a shapeshifting weapon will be (Bevel as an example because he's currently just pilfered your character from a dead guy), I think it'll lose flavor fast. Likely within the first battle.

Depending on how our RP turns out, though, you could have Ygg in the possession of an NPC for battles, similar to that stick character and its 'familiar.'

Or, Yggdrasil could be a quest only character, since he's always interacting with at least one other character.

hmm I wouldn't mind wielding you in a quest or battle^^

while the "human" PC would be doing most the work you still could probably add some flavor to a thread. basically Ygg could be something like a narrator of the thread. I see something like the Historian in Steven Brust's The Khaavren Romances. He was a character that had no influence on the plot except to tell the tale in an entertaining way with Gusto and Arrogance. I can see your weapon adding a new and fun view of things as well as supply some fun dialog as well.

I agree with Godhand, I think you made a major boo-boo by making your character without an inherent NPC. Rayse is also correct. Since Ygg is barely even sentient, you can't even write about his thoughts.

Perhaps you should think about doing a quest where Ygg invests in a drunkard or an old man or something, someone weak, so that he can fully extend his influence and at least have a body. It'll give you the opportunity for good writing as you can talk about how incompetent the body is and how much Ygg wants to find his next body.

Of course, that's if you want to take the "body-hopping" route with this character. I'm sure if you think hard enough you'll be able to think of even better ideas.

I would be interested in wielding a Yggdrasil. Well, at least assimilating one. Hit me up with any ideas, I'm open to try anything.
