Yggdrasil

If there was one thing to be learned about the forest of Concordia, was that the Tree’s were rather boring conversationalists, not that there was a lot a tree could talk about, apart from that those lovely birds in my branches recently had such a quite bunch of little bouncing baby birds.

To say Yggdrasil would be worried about its future fate was a down right understatement.

Then again that was also a curious question, what was a certain glowing sphere of untold forms doing there minding it’s own business just floating four feet off the ground. Well it was doing just that, minding its own business before a new Hjor would come along and it would be on its merry way.

Now that the where was established, the rather pleasant vast forest of Concordia, surrounded by countless tree’s that Yggdrasil hadn’t even bothered to ask what they were, nor would it actually talk to the trees, such a boring lot that it was annoying just thinking about.

The Why would a Glowing sphere of untold forms be minding it’s own business was a story all on itself, quite recently it’s previous Hjor had been somewhat lax in his own defence, Bandits had come and struck him down, and Yggdrasil here was among the Hjor’s few measly possessions that the man had.

Natural to say Yggdrasil was quickly bagged and tagged, rather quickly, but as luck would have it, the Bandits had run into a patrolling group of elves, arrows flew and Bandits dropped or flew. Eventually the Bag containing Yggdrasil was cut allowing the content to fall out and neither Bandit nor elf had spotted this wondrous treasure.

This was bullshit since elves were all seeing, although Yggdrasil had fallen into a bush at the time, the very same one it was hovering above, it also established a cut down version why said Glowing sphere of untold forms was doing on it’s own in Concordia forest.

Now Yggdrasil is a rather smart being, and right now it was wondering whose bright idea it was that such an item of Un-you get the idea, was left without the ability to move itself around and has a limited lack of ability to move in the outside world.

Probably had something to do with being a treasure and all that

Still, first thing it would do when it had the chance was to get some god damn movement going, then again this is actually not an accurate translation on Yggdrasil’s feeling on it’s current useless form.

But it was content; to sit there and wait it out, elves were very perceptive of what was in this forest, so it was only a matter of time right? Besides Yggdrasil was shiny and rather bright, so divine patience was a virtue

“so I heard you guys like squirrels?”

It asked the neighbouring tree’s that seemed to suddenly stop talking, only noticing for the first time the rather magical item that had been floating there for the past two hours

God damn Concordia trees
