View Full Version : The fall from grace...

Chelsi
06-09-06, 01:07 AM
Name: Chelsi
Age: 25
Race: Human
Hair Color: Black (with streaks of grey rearing their ugly heads)
Eye Color: Chrome
Height: 5'1
Weight: 120lbs
Occupation: Mercenary

Personality: Always lacking purpose in life, Chelsi has always been a drifter. She had always felt the need to be assotiated with Althanas' most influential. But now, with all of her friends dead, or retired, she has lost that one consistancy. She is now aimless, and with no reputation to preceed her, she has become one with the darkness; a shadow of her former self.

She is now a thug and a bandit of the worst sort. Indescrimanent, bullying, and completely lacking in morality. She has been known to have violent streaks and bouts of drunkeness, more so than before! She has many lovers. No longer discriminant of gender, she finds solace in the arms of a different partner, in a different city every month, leaving them and aquiring a new one without notice.

Truly without a way in life, Chelsi is now just one of the many lost souls wandering Althanas, with redemption out of sight.

Appearance: The weight of trials now shows openly on Chelsi's face and physique. She seems perpetually tired and her beautiful large eyes are somewhat hollow and creased by light lines of age which should be a long ways off for someone of her age. They are almost always caked in layers of eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow, further adding to the sunken appearance. She still futilely dyes her hair, more as an attempt to hide the few grey hairs that pollute her thick, lusterous shoulderblade-length mane, which is now almost always in dissaray.

She now has use for her trademarked corset, lacing it tight enough to hide the slight weight she has put on from innactivity. Her knee-length black halloween skirt is now faded, and frayed around the hem. Her calf-high boots, the only remaining testimate to the person she once was, remain untarnished, untouched, and shine with dark light. They appear to be well polished and taken care of, perhaps her only way of refuting this new life that she's not quite yet ready to completely accept. She carries a black denim backpack which holds her few megar possesions and her sword is strung through a loop in one of the straps over her left shoulder.

History: Several years have passed since the time and space barriers between Althanas and Chelsi's reality were broken by the Arch-Witch's rogue majicks. The promising sorceress' name has fallen into the history books and her legacy all but forgotten. Some still recall her antics, in the Peaceful Promenade, though her trials with the rogue leader Gild Sorain and Valentina snow are over-shadowed by stories of alcoholism and neglectance of her friends and loved ones.

The once powerful witch has sunken to a level of banditry, far beneath the expectations of the organized and calculating Bandit Brotherhood. Her powers rusty, and some of her curses forgotten, she stalks the shadows, preying on the old and the unwary. She lives in the shadow of her former glory, preffering to remain unknown, then to face the horrible reality that her name is now, only that. A name.

She has become restless, travelling from town to town until one location is no longer profitable, or the local magistrates become all too familiar. The young witch, now showing the weight of her trials on her once youthful appearance, has returned to one of her oldest haunts; the town of underwood.

Skills:

Combat Skills

Shadow Walking - Chelsi has become adept at taking to the shadows, and emerging from them to decend on her prey. Only an astute viewer would notice her flight to the darkness, her footsteps near to silent. She uses this innate ability to catch victims unawares, usually with a swift blow from her weapon. However, she has been using this skill mostly on the homeless or the drunk, stealing what little coin she can manage. Well trained fighters might still find this assault a mere innconvienience though, and is best used against unwarey travallers or the unprepared.

Swordsmanship - Well versed in the ways of combat, Chelsi is an imposing figure in the highwayman industry, rivaling some of the more notable swordsmen on Althanas.

Curses

Dimmed Vision - This curse reduces the visibility of an opponent, choking their eyes with haze and tears. Though it does not hamper them in any other way, an opponent might still find themselves at a dissadvantage. This curse obviously has no affect against the blind or those lacking eyes. Effects last from 5-30 seconds, depending on the enemy's character level.

Karmic Touch - By touching an opponent, Chelsi can share a non-fatal wound with them, no more drastic than a broken bone or a concussion. This ability has no affect on characters more than one level higher than Chelsi, and must have been inflicted by that character.

Bane of Youth - Not many people manage to rouse Chelsi's ire more than any other. But those few deserving people who do inspire her hatred, might warrent the use of this curse. By touching her opponent, she permanently ages them four years, and quells her own aging, erasing the lines around her eyes, and the greying in her hair for one week. This ability can not be used against a character more than one level higher than Chelsi, or against characters with unnatural aging such as elves or demons.

Equipment:

Weapons

Fossil Bokken - Also known as a practice sword, or a wooden katana, Chelsi uses this weapon with grace, being her weapon of choice for nearly a decade. Recently purchased from the bazaar, this weapon carved from treated petrifyed mammoth bone. It has the same same hardness and durability as steel with half the weight.

ATM Hardballer - This advanced firearm has not been fired for many years, ammunation being a very low priority for the stealthy sorceress who now favors striking silently from the darkness. Still, its chrome finish and authentic leather grip still boasts that it is a quality weapon.

Ammunition - One twelve bullet clip of regular 9mm bullets.

Armor

Delyn-toed Boots - These well cared for foot accessories could easily be classified in the weapons section. The Delyn plating on the toes shines threateningly to any would be perverts and enemies alike.

You'll have to break the gun so it's unusable, we don't allow functional guns at registration, even without ammo.

Everything else looks great, though ;)

I was hoping that because I was starting from scratch again without my XP, money, or equipment, that I could keep the gun for story line purposes and use at a later date.

I even started with no ammo to level the playing field.

Yeah, but ammo isn't as expensive as I wish it was. Hmm...

Why do you need it intact if it's for storyline purposes? If you don't want it to be publicly known, you can PM me. I'm just trying to understand, honestly.

Its not a huge deal. I just wanted to start with some sort of remnants from past adventuring. But now that I think about it... Can I just have my XP back? ^___^

I was level 2 with 6,000 XP.

Yes. Yes you can.

Go edit that into a level 2 profile ;)

Done and done. I still left a few abilities and a lot of equipment off my old character though, being that I'm pretty sure registration and approval is stricter now than it once was.

That, and I cant remember what they all were anyways~

Gurr.

I still don't like the gun there, but whatever.
