Hi, I'm a new member around these parts and I'm looking for steady, active and fun writers to join me on my first quest on Althanas. I'm an experienced, motivated roleplayer so you don't have to worry about me dropping out halfway. I wrote in a quest with Blackandblueyes but that thread died, just as some RL problems halted me for a while but now that is sorted, I'm ready to write.

I'm interested in joining other people's storylines but can't really see one where Kiete would easily fit in at this point. If you guys have a quest idea where I could join, I'd love to be a part of it.

The premise for my quest though, is this:

Kiete recently realized that he has the power to manipulate flame, but it is a gift that he does not want. He is presently on a journey to find out more about it and at best, rid himself of it. Of course, things don't come easy for this hero. That's all I'm willing to say and I just hope that you guys will join me as I try to come to terms with writing as Kiete while this ranger tries to come to term with his fiery power.

I'll hold out a bit longer, partly because I want to see who else is interested but mainly because I haven't really got the plot for either of those quests worked out

Alright tentatively, my quest will be up next week because that's the delicate balance between my free time as well as giving me enough time for me to finalize my plot. I'd love to have MiaKane aboard at this point. Lovely to have a amateur pyromancer and an ice elf together, hahaha.

Okay, Mia and anyone else that might be interested, the quest idea is roughly in my head. Kiete and his pals (that's you) are in Radasanth, probably a bar, when the place is robbed by a vampire couple. We are temporarily subdued but give chase afterwards as they steal important things of ours. When we corner them, we defeat the female but the male escapes. Just as we are about to kill her, the Corone Guard strangely stops us and gives her a chance to escape. It turns out that the vampire is a daughter of a wealthy Corone noble so she cannot be killed. However, the noble meets with us and tells us that he will reward us handsomely if we manage to kill the male vampire, so that her daughter will revert back to human. Fast forward, we do it.

At the end, there will be a surprise. Unfortunately, I think I will be the only one interested.

I like the theme of your quest, to be honest it quite nicely reflects your character and would suit my style.

Syrion's a bodyguard, so really his involvement can range from being hired by yourself, or through a series of events getting involved himself. How you involve him is simply up to you, I will improvise with whatever you want to give me, or you can leave me to devise my own entrance to suit. :)

I'm not sure whether I was clear or not, but I said that all three of us would be in the bar when the vampire couple rob us. So, that's how we'd all get involved in this mess. Maybe they steal something valuable like one of your weapons, or a ring that you're wearing or all your gold, just something so that you'll want to chase after them for it. We will split up and run in different directions to try and catch them, just so it's not cliche.

Mia and Canen, I hope you guys are in and will be until we get this done.

EDIT: Okay I put it up. You guys can advance the plot to the evening if you want. Kiete will be socializing with his friend and helping him do things during the afternoon and teh vampires don't come until the night. In fact, go ahead and advance it into the evening in your first post. Then, my 2nd post can be either us meeting or the vampires. Depends, I'm not sure yet. Have to see potential interactions for our characters. If you want to interact with Kiete straight away, then IM/PM me and we can sort that out.

Ok. We'll get the evening cracking, and i'll have Syrion do some funky shit in the tavern.

On my part, Syrion wouldn't just usually get up and talk to strangers, so until the Vampires turn up i'll have him sociallising with Rouisa. When it kicks off and the bloodsuckers thrust themselves through the door, Syrion will then involve himself with the other characters in the room, helping them team up on the vampires and / or attending to the wounded, and while his backs turned they nab his girl, much to his distaste.

It's 4pm at the moment and i'm about to leave my training provider, so tomorrow lunchtime or morning or as soon as I can get a slot on a machine i'll rinse out a decent post.

If you need to crack on for any reason without me, PM me and i'll find another way round it. My gal pal is taking me out for mexican tonight so I won't be back on till tomorrow.
