Name: Tabitha Frost.
Age: Around twenty.
Race: Probably human; though she swears she's of elfin blood. Her ancestry is...doubtful.
Hair Color: Dark brown.
Eye Color: Blue-grey.
Height: Average.
Weight: Average.
Occupation: She would like to be a bard, a storyteller; but they make little money. She has settled for working in taverns or shops as an assistant.

Personality: Tabitha is the kind of girl who appears genuine, fairly generous and good-natured. Two of them she is, wholeheartedly. She gladly gives her time to others, and if in need, her assistance and aid if possible. She is usually cheerful and frank. Honest might not be the right word, as nobody has yet known more than a word of truth to escape her lips. She spins complicated and bizarre tales like a demented cook, pulling ingredients into her stories from right and left, bitter and sweet or both. Ask her a simple question and the answer may take some telling. She does not do it maliciously, or at least she does not appear to. She seems to enjoy telling her stories, not expecting anyone to believe them, but wanting them to enjoy the strange people and worlds she imagines.

She regularly disappears for days or weeks or months or even years at a time, returning in the middle of the night with an elaborate concoction of an excuse. Perhaps she has been knitting scarves for whales beneath the sea, perhaps she has been helping the Goddess of Hitting People On The Head With Blunt Instruments to make clocks. Children, at least, seem to like her tales, but her older audience sneer. She cannot give a straight answer; so why bother listening to the mad girl?

Nor is she as nice as she appears to be. She gets angry quickly, and it is not the clean rage of a hot-tempered redhead, it is the brooding sulk that promises misfortune to come. She is also rather conceited, always telling tall tales about her skills and achievements, boasting about events that surely never happened. Tabitha seems to take pride in them as though they did, however, which grinds on the nerves of many. She has lost many an ally because of her sulks and her brags, and gained many a foe.

Skills and abilities; she has few. She cannot dance, or sing, or draw. She is quite pretty, but not stunning enough to attract. She is only intelligent in the creative way; ask her to figure out a sum and she will take hours. Nor can she spell. Her weapons training is...nonexistent, and her fighting is of an amateur or novice. Unreliable and disorganised; she vanishes often and forgets everything when she returns. She cannot read easily, though her vocabulary is wide. Sewing? My god, no. She is engaging and interesting to talk to, depending on her mood, which is how she gets jobs, but they slip through her fingers like smoke.

Appearance: Tabitha is an awkward-looking girl. Not entirely bad-looking, in her way, but not stunning. She has all the right ingredients: long, smooth dark hair; big, imploring blue-grey eyes, framed with soft, long lashes; clear skin, a straight nose and strong features; a sweet mouth and straight, elegant limbs. But there is something about her that doesn't quite fit. Perhaps it's her clumsiness. Not the adorable kind, where they trip over their own feet and drop things, but the uncomfortable sort. Her long legs and arms don't seem to work together, and her movements are spidery and awkward.

History: I would say that 'nobody knows her history' because that is true, but that is also unsatisfying and far too brief. She has far too much fun concocting a pack of lies with two Aces of Diamonds to bother retelling the dull truth, after all, but that is what I shall give you.

She was born in a small village, quite far away, and was brought up the same as every other child there. Sent to school at eight, left at fourteen to learn a trade. Hers was shoe-making, the cobbler's art. She wasn't particularly amazing at it, but practice does make perfect, and she was reasonably skilled when she left three years later. Her mother and father decided that she could be better at it if she went to study under a real, famous cobbler, and so, Tabitha left to find a real, famous cobbler. She had to catch a ship to get there, pulling her weight in return for a berth, and learnt all the sailor's yarns and songs. That was when she began making up her own tales, and soon found she had a talent for it. She traded extra treats, like cigarettes and drinks, for long and tragic stories involving lost love, murder, and of course, the sea. She tried to compose ballads but her musical skills left a lot to be desired, so instead, she turned to poetry. Rhythm was much easier for her to grasp, and sailors could set it to chords as easily as she could write them.

Tabitha landed a while later in a small town, dependent on fishing. It was poor there, and there was no shoe-shops, so again, she left. She is now nineteen years old.

Skills:

Shoemaking: She can make shoes; not wonderful ones; but she can make them, with leather and needles and work. This may improve along the way.

Inkweaving: She does not know about this yet, but her words have a certain something that leads to a rather impressive result; or at least it will be. Her words come true. In the future, this may become a strong skill, where she can create objects and make events happen, but in the meantime it is incredible weak, controlling only random elements, like the shapes of flames or waves. For example, if she was telling a story in front of a campfire, perhaps people who looked deep into the flames would see a shape or person from the tale. It is not clear, rather vague in fact, and put down to chance, but it is there.

Fighting Ability: She is, to put it nicely, terrible. Her hand-eye co-ordination is awful. So is her strength, her reaction time; everything that could help her fighting skills is bad. This will not improve much throughout the roleplay.

Stamina: She has higher-than-average stamina, but not particularly much. This will improve.

Equipment:

Staff (for walking and defence, made of wood. She can't really fight with it, but it helps to look like she has a weapon. It's a little less tall than she is, say, five foot long, and about five centimetres wide, or two inches)

Leather, thick needles, yarn, small knife for cutting leather and yarn only (cobbling supplies. She will need to buy refills.)

Lucky Charm Pendant (in the shape of a horseshoe. No good whatsoever.)

Witchblade
