This is a re-registration. I checked with Cyrus the Virus and he says there just needs to be proof of EXP/Gold/etc and so here (http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:tqP0_rFtBN4J:www.althanas.com/world/showthread.php%3Fs%3Db00d909ca06f2627b67d8b2a725dc 989%26threadid%3D438++site:www.althanas.com+rayne+ of+fire+althanas+profile&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=6) it is. I know it isn't that much to get worried about, but a head start is a head start.
Full Name: Rayne Illiarus Lunitari
Race: Illunwe
Age: 70
Gender: Male
Hair: Dark Brown, shaggy and unkempt
Eyes: Green with red spikes around the pupil
Height: 6' 3"
Weight: 195 lbs
Occupation: HighGuard Knight - Judicator 1st Class *Wanderer*
Location: Wherever the Voice may guide.
Description
Among the Illunwe, a very advanced- both physically and mentally- race, Rayne is very tall and incredibly handsome. He is very fine, his jawline long, his face angular. Lean, lithe, and well-muscled, he is in prime physical condition and highly intelligent.
His typical attire consists of black cargo pants, a tight white t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. The jacket has a high collar and he usually keeps the sleeves rolled up above his elbows. He wears two customized leather holsters in addition to his leather belt. The first is black and the strap is angled down on to his left thigh from his right hip. It is the one in which he carries his plasma pistol. The second is brown and mirrors the black one, angling instead down on his right thigh from his left hip. It also has a strap that wraps around him just below his hips for extra support, it's occupant being far heavier. The gunblade resides in this holster. In addition, he wears three brown leather straps around his left forearm, signifying the three generations of his family that lived in dishonor before him, a pair of fingerless black leather gloves, and black asolo combat boots. *Most of his clothing is now severely ragged and in serious disrepair. Two years in hell will do that*
Finally, around his neck hangs a pendant. It is said to be his family crest, though most in Illunwean society have all but forgotten the once proud Lunitari family. It is in fact the new crest that Rayne plans to instate upon the return of his family's honor, one designed by he himself, the Axe of Luna, a dragon shaped into an axe, the wings forming the blades, the body forming the bit, and the tail forming the handle. The eyes of the dragon are made of Energist, making the small pendant incredibly valuable.
History
Rayne Lunitari was born in the capital city Illunar to Telmor and Lorenia Lunitari. His father, grandson of a rather famous but dishonored HighGuard Lord, would live out the shame of his grandfather and continue to pass it through his line until he or one of his descendants could restore it. They lived in the slums of the city, scraping out what living they could. Rayne worked very hard, both at school and at the odd jobs he took up to help his parents.
When he reached the age of 26, the standard Age of Advancement for Illunwe society, he applied to the HighGuard Academy, his soul burning with a passion to restore the honor of his family. He was accepted under probational status, which was to be expected given the dishonorable history of his family. After showing that he was more than willing and able to undertake the strain of the academy, the probational status was lifted and Rayne was accepted as a full HighGuard Apprentice.
And so he worked harder than ever, excelling in all his chosen areas of study- markmanship, hand-to-hand combat, swordplay, tactical studies, etc. His instructors were quite pleasantly shocked for no dishonored line had ever brought forth a child with enough strength, courage, and fortitude to restore their house to honor. It seemed however that perhaps Rayne would indeed be the first.
Graduating in the 98th percentile was enough for the Praetor that had been assigned to the house of Lunitari, he was willing to restore the name to the Halls of Honor. But Rayne refused. In his mind he did nopt feel he had earned it. This not only surprised the Praetor, but it proved to him that Rayne had a drive that had not been seen since the long ago days of the Gyrec Wars, when so many candles had been snuffed out prematurely by the winds of war.
For the next forty years Rayne continued to advance through the ranks of the HighGuard, at last earning himself the title of Judicator. It was then that he was given the mission that he felt would be enough. That mission would be the final icing on the cake and he would be worthy of his honor once more. The mission, though rather simple, was of great importance...
It seems that the supplies of Energist available in the Illun Dominion were running low and that scouts were being sent out to locate and record places where Energist was plentiful and where mining would be possible. It would be valuable to the entirety of Illunwe society. Rayne of course accepted and within the week was in cryosleep aboard a small craft bound for the planet known by it's inhabitants as Althanas. The journey went without a hitch, the computers even said so. But he awoke from cryogenic stasis to find the ground rushing to meet him, energist plasma leaking from the underside of the hull, and no way to escape the fireball that his ship had become before it crashed into the ground in the middle of a vast forest.
Much has happened to Rayne since he crashed upon P-X493 - Althanas - and at times he wonders how he is still alive. He met and befriended a strange pirate by the name of Zigu Mortier. Their friendship grew strong quickly... though ended just as quickly, for there are still 6 months of his life he has no idea what happened in and Zigu is no longer to be found - unlike the persistent voice he picked up along the way. Whether alive or dead, Zigu is no longer a part of Rayne's life... and the two years since...
Rayne found himself led by The Voice to Haidia, realm of the demons, though he still knows not why. What happened there, the scars he bears both physical and mental, are anyone's guess for he shares those stories with noone. He returns now to the world at large, seeking his destiny, for he has now given up all hope of leaving Althanas and returning home and has accepted The Voice at last at it's word that his future lies here on this world.

History of the Illunwean Gunblade
About 600 years ago a Lord amongst the HighGuard Knights saw that the strict use of combustion projectile weapons (pre-plasma sequencing weaponry) put them at a pointed disadvantage in ground skirmishes against their enemies, the Gyrec, who used a combination of projectile weapons and melee weapons. However, when trained and equipped with swords, the Knights found that the Gyrec armor was too think to pierce with them, whilst their projectile weapons had done so with ease. The Lord saw this and took out a military contract with several arms manufacturers to find a way to combine the two- basically a sword with a gun attached. The weapon that was shipped to the Lord was balanced, elegant, deadly. With it the campaign against the Gyrec was ended within the next 3 months. And so the gunblade was born.
The gunblade has since advanced along with standard military technology. When plasma sequencing weapons were put into use, the gunblade was redesigned to fire plasma shots in place of metal projectiles. Theoretically there is no end to how much the gunblade can be customized and upgraded.
Gunblade Addendum(Needed to show it is not really a firearm):The blade of a gunblade is similar to that of a single-edged sword, with a deep groove running along one side. The blade is attached to a modified firearm designed specifically to function as a gunblade weapon, and without the blade would be completely useless. When the trigger of the firearm is pulled, a projectile is shot from the firearm, along the groove of the blade to it's stopping point where it then explodes. Different forms of shot can be used to produce varying effects: Standard plasma shot creates a small plasma nova that encompasses the blade, and when exploded as the blade contacts an opponent or object can cause significantly increased damage, depending on the strength of the opponent or armor the opponent is wearing. This extra damage would burn the opponent - or their armor - once again depending on the strength of the opppenent or the opponent's armor. Certainly specialty cartridges can often be found, some used to stun or blind, others used as tracking beacons. The gunblade is a versatile, elegant weapon. And when in the hands of one skilled in it's use, can be very deadly.
Items
One standard issue Eckar 4 Gauntcom - Forearm computer capable of mapping, short range communication, and other minor functions. Responds to the name "Luna". Has a series 9 AI installed. - *Rayne no longer has this. It was destroyed in his ordeal in Haidia.*
Axe of Luna Pendant
Skills
Telepathy - All Illunwe are born with the gift of telepathy, some stronger than others. Rayne's own telepathic abilities are just slightly above average and he is capable of both talking to most anyone through thought-speak or implanting an idea into the weak-minded.
Aulentora - At will, up to 6 times per day, Rayne can launch a ball of white light from his hand. It is about the size of a softball and if it were to hit an average human it would knock them down but cause no serious damage. When he uses this skill the eyes of his pendant glow.
[ Final Note: Rayne's ordeal in Haidia is unrecorded on Althanas, it is simply my way of filling in the huge gap of his being here. ]
