Don't tell me I'm the only one who got it...
I'll post my FC for this game if other people do too.

Damn it! I can't buy it until Friday. Rather, I won't let myself buy it until Friday when exams are done. Damn you for bringing the game up.

You're welcome.
Post your FC here when you get it. I don't mind waiting. I've got plenty of time--and pplz on other forums--to waste.

Ha, I just bought it today but I'm following Dirks on this one. Not until I'm done, but after that...
I have this game too ^^
What do you mean with FC by the way?

Online is a complete blast. Far better fleshed out than Brawl. Rankings (no sign of leaderboards yet though), Nintendo-hosted tournaments, no lag, regional or worldwide random matching, and the option to join a friend in their match if there's room.
Also, most of the new courses are really well designed. In particular, I'm really impressed with Koopa Cove, Wario's Gold Mine, the new Bowser's Castle, and Coconut Mall. They also stuck in some of the better "retro" courses, like Waluigi Stadium, Bowser's Castle 64, and SNES Ghost House 2.
I haven't tried out the Wii Wheel yet, though. I've been sticking with the Gamecube controller.
And I don't know if you heard anything about the new powerslide system yet... But basically instead of holding down the button and quickly moving the stick left and right to build up the sparks, you just hold the button down and the boost builds depending on how long you hold the slide. I've noticed that the more you lean into the slide, the faster the boost builds as well. It greatly cuts down on "snaking" straightaways, but on some of the wider courses it is still possible.
And screw leader bombs.
But overall... It's freakin' Mario Kart. What else would you expect?

Hahaha, very cool. How are the motorcycles compared to the karts?

Surprisingly, the motorcycles do not suck. They only get one level of boost during a powerslide as opposed to the two that the karts get (you'll know what I mean when you play), but they can pop wheelies on straightaways for a small, extended boost of speed.

sounds like fun... any news that there will be a leaderboard in the future?

See it. Smell it. Touch it. Taste it. Know it. For that twelve-digit number will spell your Mario Kart doom, folks.
When I get online I will look up your friend code ^^
The only thing that's missing in in Mario Kart Wii is 2 characters in 1
kart (like double dash on the gamecube), everything else is just great
about this game ^^

I loved Double Dash for that :)
