Witchy opened the door to the shop and stepped inside, the immediate relief of the sun off her face came to the forefront of her senses, as well as the smell of new leather, metal, woods and faint traces of blood. Used and traded-in weapons, they always had blood on them and no matter how many times you cleaned them the smell was there for those who detected it. But she didn’t care about that; she didn’t want to be in the city and in view of humans, especially when that overwhelming urge to kill them came to the forefront for no reason. She was here to procure weapons and upgrade some things and then get the Hell out.

Walking to the counter, with the head of a small white dragon poking out of her rucksack and resting against her shoulder, Witchy laid her Titanium plated loves on the surface in front of the man standing behind it.

”I need some enhancements made to my gloves. The metal on the back of them is Titanium and I would like it if you could attack small Titanium spikes to them.” Witch said to him, talking into the man’s mind. The fact that her mouth was sown shut made is extremely hard for her to talk any other way, she just hoped she didn’t freak the man out too much, she needed him to do a good job, ”The spikes should be small, I don’t want gigantic things, the end facing the hand will be rounded and sharp, bending towards the elbow into a point.

“Also, I would like both of the gloves enchanted so that at a command the metal will crawl up and down her arm like a vine protecting her, yet coming to a point a few inches past the tips of her fingers.”

Next she reached behind her, her hand closing around the familiar worn leather strapping on her dagger. She pulled it from it’s sheathe and laid it on the counter as well. The blade was just over twelve inches, made of Mythril, enchanted and slightly curved on one side, making it cut through the air better.

”I would also like an exact copy of this blade made, it’s Mythril and I would like the new one to enchanted too. However, I want it enchanted with ice magic so that when it cuts a person it slowly lowers their body temperature, freezing them from the inside out. I’ll also need a sheathe for the weapon that can be placed in the small of my back with it’s twin. By the by, if you could make all of this from a dwarven forge it would be much appreciated.”

The cat merchant simply looked at the strange new person who had entered his shop. He often got a lot of strange customers who asked for a lot of things. More often than not there were oddly all reletivly the same. The women usually pretty, full breasted, and as stupid as a can of beans after the dog got to them. The men were worse, simply because they fully belived they could get the stuff they wanted for less than a thousand gold. This one here at least looked like she would use the things she was asking for.

"No," the cat merchant replied sternly. "I can't give you all of that. I can get you a new pair of gloves with all that you want for about 300 gold. Reforging small spikes onto gloves is not very cheap, easier to just get new ones. As for the enchantment, probably give or take a couple gold about 3000 to pull that off. That;s without the new spikes too."

"The copy of the dagger I can give to you for 2000 gold, and trust me, you won't be able to afford that enchantment for it. Sorry, but you ask for a bit too much for a reletivly simple merchant."

Witchblade sighed as she folded her arms under her breasts and leaned her hip against the wooden counter. Now she was in a predicament, she’d come out of her seclusion for a new weapon and the dagger was what she wanted most, what she would need most. The enchanting armour she could do without, it was not like she was the kind of girl to use armour that much anyway. There had to be something in her arsenal she could exchange with to get the dagger and the enchantments she wanted.

”I can live without the enchantment on the gloves, I’ll settle for new ones with the spikes. However, it seems Titanium is cheaper then the Mythril, how much would it cost to have the dagger made out of that and then enchanted?”

She reached for a small Mythril rod resting in the belt of her pants, pulled it out then twisted two rings in the middle of it and spun it around, the small rod unfolded into a staff that was 5’3”.

”I might also be willing to part with this to get that enchantment, depending on whether or not you’ll give it a fair price, it’s a nice piece.”

((The enchantment on the blade is to slowly lower the core temperature of a person, making them cold, slowing down body movement, numbing them...etc. It is not to actually freeze them from the inside out, just to make sure I clerify it right.))

"There will be about 1700 gold for that mythrill staff," The merchant replied. "While the new dagger only about 300 gold. Combined with the new gloves, you have 1100 gold left over form the staff and whatever's in your pocket. as for the enchantment, I just can't do it. That's high level magic, and you'd either need to shell out more gold than your weight or go see some damn good mages in Raiera or something to get that. I could probably get you a weaker enchantment, like making it bitingly cold or something, for about 4000 gold or so. I'd need to consult the enchanter I go to in order to make sure."

Witch clenched her jaw and growled something ferocious and animalistic. Behind her, Daegun purred something cute and too kitty-like for a damned dragon. If only he could instantaneously grow about five feet and eat this friggin merchant it would make her day! She didn’t care about money that was no object to her, but damnit when she wanted a new weapon she wanted a new weapon. She didn’t even feel like getting the new enchantment on her gloves. Should she? What was the point, she’d probably never use it anyway.

She took the Mythril staff off the counter, folded it back up and placed in between her belt and her pants. She wasn’t going to part with it if she didn’t have to, a weapon was a weapon, even if this one didn’t have anything sharp and pointy at the end she could shove through the merchant’s skull.

“I’ll take the Titanium blade and the new gloves, no enchantments…”

"I'm assuming that's going to be all right? Sprry bout the enchantment, it really is just too powerful for me to sell at even a somehwat reasonible price," the merchant replied. He grinned somewhat sheepishly, the customer at the very least didn't explode in his face. "You have 1100 gold you can still spend if you want to get anything else."

”No, that’ll be it for now, however I’m not selling the staff, I was only willing to part with it to get the enchantment, which now I’ll have to torture some mage in Raiaera for before killing him.”

She sighed, such a pain in the ass. Reaching behind her, Daegun’s little white head disappeared into a rucksack and obvious movement could be heard for a few seconds before he returned, a leather pouch in his clawed paw. Witch took it from him and removed 600 gold, handing it over to the merchant.

Lionel stood for a mometn almost dumbfounded, but smilied instead. He took the bag, dropping it into a large heavy barrel filled with many such things. He whistled, one of his workers bringing out the things for the woman.

"anything else miss?"

Witchblade paused for a moment considering that one. Two daggers, two sais, a staff and her natural claws, did she really need anything else? She looked down at the worn floor of the shop and noticed how worn something else was.

”Actually, I will get a few more things, a new pair of black leather boots that’ll come up about mid calf, and if you can, install Titanium blades in the soles so that when I press down hard on the heel it pops out the front and I can stab people at the same time as kick them. Titanium plates on the front of the boots would be nice as well. Also, get me a black leather belt with ten small sheathes on it big enough to fit in ten small Titanium throwing knives, what do you think, six or seven inches including the handle?”

The merchant was probably getting annoyed with her constantly changing her mind and updating what she wanted, but then again he might be used to this and it wasn’t like she was being mean to him. In fact she was being overly courteous especially considering there was an annoying voice in her head screaming at her to kill him right now.

"Alright then," Lionel began. He had been keeping track of what the person wanted as thety actually spoke it, addiing on numbers in order to make the price more fair and better on both their sides. It was consideribly easier than simply trying to rmember all of it at once. He smilied as he looked up, figuring out the price after a moment. "It will be 30 gold for each shoe and belt, though the belt may dig into your sides a little with those pocket things, and to add on a titanium dagger to each boot would be about 400, plus 200 for the small covering on each foot. 2100 for each. Remember that you don't want to go swiming wih these, you'll sink in a heartbeat."

Witchblade chuckled, shaking her head slightly from side to side. She liked this merchant, he had a sense of humour and that was hard to come by in this day and age, around her anyways. Most people were too scared to say two words to her.

”I prefer to swim naked anyway…”

Witchblade took out the rest of her money from the leather pouch in front of her and handed it over to the merchant.

”That’s the total price, right? Titanium plated boots, with one titanium dagger in each sole, a belt with ten sheathes on it and ten titanium throwing knives to go inside?”

She just wanted to make sure that the merchant wasn’t missing anything, after all she was ordering quite a bit.

"That's all of miss," Lionel said, He smilied, glad that the strange lady had actual manners beyond 'gimmee' and 'mine'. He smilied for a minute, the picture flashing through his head. He quickly shut it away, thinking possibly more than one hole was sewn together on this odd person. He counted out the total amount of gold coins that the woman owes, totaling 2700 peices. "That's just about all of it, anything else just let me know."

”Nope, that’s it…thanks.”

Having already paid the man, Witch grabbed her stuff off the counter and headed out of the merchant’s shop, not rally knowing where to go next. Perhaps to one of the local taverns, there were always ‘adventurers’ and ‘warriors’ looking for people to join them on quests that usually involved danger and certain death and she liked that.

Then after that she was heading to Raiaera to get a certain enchantment…

Lionel collected the money happily, another job well done.

((Yay for Brevity!
2700 taken away, 2300 remains!))
