Travis opened the door to Lasair's shop and propped it open with his foot. Leaning back into the street, he grabbed a large chunk of metal ore and pulled it past him as best he could. It was a difficult ordeal, but he finally managed to get both himself and the three-foot diameter chunk of ore inside the Synthesis Shop. Seeing that the fae proprietor was not behind the counter, he called into the back room, "Lasair! It's Travis!"

Then he bent over and shoved the ore in the general direction of the counter. Standing to wipe the sweat from his brow, he sighed before dropping down to rest on the sphere of metal. He needed some water...

“Travis? Travis!”

The loud and excitable voice just sounded a bit too big for Lasair’s tiny body, but no one had ever told her that before. Not that she would listen to them even if they did. It was her voice and no one else. Just because Aileen was much quieter than her didn’t mean anything.

Only a few seconds after the voice echoed throughout the dim shop, a few bumps and crashes were heard from the back room. They were followed by one loud yelp and then finally the tiny Fae burst out of the dark purple curtain separating her shop. She would have been rubbing her shoulder from the stinging pain of having slammed it into yet another shelf. But she was too busy running at Travis and practically jumping on him.

“Hi, Travis!” She said to him as her small little arms wrapped around his waist. “What can I help you with today?”

Travis smiled at the fae's exuberant greeting. It was always nice to be welcome so... fiercely. Extracting himself from her surprisingly firm grip, he held her at an armslength. "It's good to see you again," he exuded with sincerity. It had been too long since their last encounter. Back to business, he reminded himself.

Patting the chunk of ore that he sat on he replied, "Any chance you can keep this here for me?" He knew it was an atypical request, but he needed somewhere to keep the large piece of metal. "I'll need it when you synthesize my sword, but I can hardly keep it on my person..." He hoped the fae would understand.

As an afterthought, and so Lasair wouldn't think that was the only reason he had come, he added, "I, of course, would like to get a second ingredients list, but I thought we should settle this matter first." His smile widened, waiting for a response.

“Keep it here?”

Lasair looked from Travis to the massive chunk of metal that he happened to have with him. She knew she had told him to get raw ore for the creation of his sword, but had she really told him to get that much of it? Oh well, she’d just give the access ore back to him if she didn’t use it all. Or maybe she’d make him something special with it.

“Well, sure!” She said to him with a huge smile. “I don’t mind at all, I have plenty of room in the back. Godhand!”

She patiently waited a moment until the dark purple curtain separating the public and private areas of her shop shifted a bit. Looking down she watched her miniature, stuffed and cute version of Godhand Striker walk into the room like he owned the place.

“What do you need, sweetheart?”

She gestured for Travis to stop sitting on the metal chunk. “Can you please pick this up and take it to the back room for storage?”

He looked from her to the large chunk of metal and then shrugged. Thankfully Travis had actually done as she’d asked and gotten off the thing, otherwise Godhand would have taken the man with him. Walking over to it, the plushie grabbed onto the metal ore and with a great amount of ease, hefted the object up and over his head, then walked towards the back room as if he were carrying nothing heavier than a feather.

As he disappeared, Lasair turned her attention back towards Travis. “So you said you wanted another list?”

Travis was surprised at the small thing's incredible strength. It had taken him a few days to roll the chunk of ore to the city. If he had used Lasair's Godhand... He shook his head in frustration; her helpers certainly came in handy. Then he realized that the fae woman was talking to him again and he focused on her.

"Uh yeah," he stumbled over the words, not sure how to tell her what he wanted. "I have a few ideas, but I don't know what you'll be able to help me with." His gaze drifted vacantly off as he described them, "I can sculpt animals and I would like the be able to play a song to bring them to life. I have this ocarina," at mention of the instrument, he produced it from his pocket, "but it already has an enchantment on it. Can you help me?"

Lasair thought about it for a moment. There were probably a few ways she could bring his sculpted animals to life, one of which didn’t even involve him using his ocarina. Unless of course he really wanted to, if he did, she could do something else for him too.

“I could probably, yeah.” She said, tapping her lips with her index finger. Backing up against the counter, the small Fae hoped up and sat down upon it as she continued to think. “You saw my little Godhand right? Well, I can do that to your sculpted animals, but they’ll always be like that you know? Can’t really turn them off, though they do need to sleep. But that doesn’t exactly sound like what you wanted. Otherwise I can probably use dual crystals to bring them to life, one the ocarina and one placed upon the created animals. Which sounds more like what you desire, yes? The animal would move around and come to life as you played, though it would probably drain a bit of your own energy in the process. Not very much.

“Oh, and what is the enchantment upon the ocarina? It would be bad if it interfered with my magic, things could go boom boom!”

"Well," Travis responded, "Right now all that it has is my familiar's summoning song. Will that be a problem?" He hoped not; he certainly wanted to keep Ardinne around.

"As for the method of animation; the crystal idea sounds like a good one." Hopefully the ingredients will be relatively easy to get. Then he needed to start carving.

“That enchantment seems simple enough...” Lasair said thoughtfully. “May I?”
He reached into his bag and produced the ocarina for her. Reaching out, Lasair wrapped her long, thin fingers around it and immediately felt the hum of the magic within the instrument. The enchantment was a good, solid one and it appeared as if she was right. Her crystals shouldn’t be affected by this in any kind of way and vice versa. She handed it back to him.

“I’ve got an idea!” She said with a large smile. “I don’t even need my books for this one.”

Laying flat against the counter, the Fae reached behind it and grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill. Then she sat back up, crossed her legs and used that as a surface to write on. Immediately her beautifully scripted handwriting began to fill the page, but she was finished all too soon, showing Travis just how simple this hunt really was going to be.

“There’s a bit of a caution on one of the items, so be careful, okay?” She told him, her face going a bit more serious though still keeping that child-like excitement and exuberance. Then she put the quill down and handed the parchment to him for inspection and in case he had any questions.

The List
• Several shards of milky white crystal known as Stiuri approximately 1-2 centimetres in size. However many for however many golems you wish to command. Usually found in the bottom of rivers in Luthmor and the grasslands of Talmhaidh.
• One clear crystal approximately 2-3 centimetres in size
• Your blood
• Mana dust
• Triaghadar leaves found in Fiorair. They’ve usually a dull red colour, almost like rust and are sticky to touch. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after handling for they have a hypnotic, sleeping, control effect when ingested

"Mana dust?" Travis read aloud. "Where would I find that?" He wasn't too familiar with Dheathain, but it seemed like the rest of the ingredients would be fairly easy to find. He'd likely spend the bulk of his time finding the Stiuri so that he could animate several golems.

"I'm still working on the last ingredient list you gave me," he apologized. "But this one looks loads easier. Should have it all for you soon!" With one last look around the shop and a friendly wave to the fae, he walked back out into the street. Time for a bath...

((OOC: feel free to bunny Travis if you need. I am done :)))

Lasair was just about to inform Travis that Mana Dust came off the wings of Fae, when he turned and left the shop. She stood there for a moment, blinking and staring at the closing door before she did a bit of a run and jump and trip through the heavy wooden door. She stumbled out into the bright light of day and found herself shielding her eyes.

“T-Travis?”

She blinked through the bright sun and found him turning and looking at her oddly.

“Oh, it’s just you asked me something and then left the shop before I could answer you!” She said, “Mana Dust comes off the wings of Fae. Easy enough to find if you ask me.”

Giving him a big smile and a wink, the Fae turned and entered her shop once more, leaving Travis in the street.
