Rejoice in my, hopefully permanent, return. I realize I said I was coming back a while ago, but I had to do some serious soul-searching and personal enlightenment before I started to write seriously again. In the meantime, I never quit writing, I wrote little blurbs here and there.

That was until I BROKE MY THUMB! The one on my dominant hand, unfortunately. Check my profile picture if you want to see. There is a cast on it all because I had to get some big surgery on my hand, and now I have to suffer through physical therapy and whatnot. But I can still type... So here I am.

If I leave again unexpectedly then come back in another couple of months, someone track me down and rape me or something. Teach me a lesson, because I want to be here.

I'm thinking of having Rahegalhoff go face a moral crises in a village somewhere plagued by a particularly skilled bandit, wanna help?

I wonder how Calx could be associated with something like that. It could work.

I've still got to draw up some of the details of course, for instance, where is this village, why are they being raided, who is this skilled bandit, does he, or she, have any other motives behind this, all of which will lead to the question Raggy has to answer for himself, Does he help the village, and do the right thing, or does he leave them to their fate, but then, there's got to be something in there that could be convincing enough for Rahegalhoff to let them be.

Any ideas?

There's always the cliche "Rare artifact being kept in the village" thing and then that is being chased after. Or he could just be doing it because he loves to kill, I don't know. But it could possibly be in Concordia, because that is where Calx starts his adventure. Other than that, I dunno. I'd need more time to contemplate.

Concordia is good. Xos is at the Citadel currently, it's a nice walk from The Citadel to Concordia, unless my geography's wrong.

Hmm...

A village, hidden within Concordia forest. At it's center is an ancient building, the top of what was an underground temple. Said theif is trying to get into the temple, but it's locked, a villager has the key. To all outward appearences, the thief, a drow, is simply stealing valubles, and killing whoever gets in his way. Closer investigations, of both the Temple and the villagers reveal keys have also gone missing. The temple can't be lockpicked, for, reasons. It has a magic lock, and the theif isn't magic.

Anyways, they discover the door open one day, and our intrepid would be heros journey into the temple to catch him. It's a fairly big temple, filled with traps, and surprises, and the occasional monster. They catch up to the theif at the bottom, only to discover this temple houses a ring, a special ring, called N'jal's ring. It allows it's wearer to exert an unusualy large amount of influence over the N'jalian Spidermagi, and thus it must not be allowed to fall into the wrong hands because, would you want to find yourself staring down the business end of a N'jalian spidermagi army? Someone could cause trouble with that thing, or take over the world. However, this thief only wants one, for revenge, his sister was taken by the N'jalian spidermages, and sacrificed...

So, this then leads Rahegalhoff to consider, does he do what's right, and stops the theif, destroys the ring, or does he let the theif continue, remembering his own quest for vengence against the black knight that took his family from him.

What do you think of the preliminary over all idea?
The ring itself slowly corrupts it's user, so it would be only a matter of time before it's user, no matter their intent, slowly became a spidermage themselves.

I apologize for my indifference, I know I'm not helping much, but it honestly doesn't matter to me. As long as we can think of a way to get Calx in there, because he isn't very smart and wouldn't know better to venture into the temple, knowing the world was on the line. He just likes trees, to put things bluntly. So maybe if we could associate that in, like we see our thief torturing an innocent girl or something, in which case would spark adventure in my golem. His goal is to preserve natural order and innocence. Hmm...

In any case, I'm not expecting this to be an epic world-saving quest, so let's not take it too heavily. Let's just have some fun, this will be my first RP here in like a year, so I just need this to get re-situated.

I'm still up for more quests, I can probably do about 2-3 at a time. So if anyone else has stuff going on, let me know!
